As I don't miss the US plastic tasting food, I didn't bring myself to buy anything, but if you are missing something, and just can't find it at Migros or COOP this would be a great place to check out.

The selection is pretty good for food, but it seems many things are packaged for families. For example, you can't buy just one red onion; you need to buy an entire bag of them. Also the cheese selection is a weakness. They only had some mass produced feta that tasted awful. On the plus side, the location is convenient to reach by public transport, and there's free parking for a couple hours.

The prices are pretty reasonable (especially the butcher section); the equivalent store in Washington, DC would be two times as much. Everyone that works at the store seems very helpful and friendly and I think most of them either speak English or understand it fairly well. A little bonus is during the summer when it's super hot outside, Savoie has a powerful AC system (very rare in this area!). It's so nice to cool off while shopping :)

Prices are little bit higher than city supermarket prices but that's a fair surcharge for those who don't have time to shop during the week. Just be careful of their sandwiches in very late evening! I don't even recommend you to buy one of the few remaining sandwiches which are put in a cooled box after APERTO entrance! Once a pretzel sandwich's butter was liquid melted and I couldn't eat it in the train. Anyway APERTO is still a better choice to malicious and unfriendly coop pronto sales staff in the same train station!

A downside is lines here regularly get very long, so plan ahead if you have a train to catch. All else equal, shop at a regular Coop -- not only for more selection, but also lower prices. As an example, a can of beer might be 1.80 CHF at Coop, and 2.00 CHF at the Pronto. Overall though, better than the Kiosk in price and selection, and convenient for getting some food and drink at the station.

The first time I've been there, I had their Plat du Jour which consisted of a Sole Filet done in a "Meunière" kind of way. It was really good and I really enjoyed. It costed 18 CHF. Some of the Salad looks good as well! But you can't go out of this place without trying one of their fresh desserts.
