It's open early and open til late (6am-10pm is late). They're one of the few businesses that's open on Sundays. Switzerland is known to be the most expensive country to visit which is absolutely true. Most go to Coop as a "hack" by buying food here instead of going to restaurants. Food is affordable here. They have deli meats, jamon Iberico, baked goods, arancini, cakes, pastries, pizza, sushi, sashimi, cups/ bowls of fruit, etc. I came here the first time to grab snacks like chips, Barebells and drinks. They were giving away protein shakes right next to the checkout counters. You do have to pay for shopping bags. If you need utensils, you have to pay for that too. The second time I was here was to get bandaids. The staff was helpful in pointing me to the right direction. Third visit was to compare prices for chocolates. I got Lindt chocolates for cheaper at Lindt Home of Chocolate.

Migros was a solid option to get souvenirs (like chocolates and things), and also lunches pastries drinks etc. They have a great selection of fresh produce, and they also have some serve yourself salad and pastry bars, ready to go salad and pasta boxes, fresh bread, lots of variety of sodas and kombucha, ice cream etc... Pasta boxes and pastries range from 3 CHF to 10 CHF - drinks around the same range, bread as well about 3-6 CHF - if you get an Airbnb or hotel room with a kitchenette you can make breakfasts to save on picking up something from Starbucks (which could set you back about 10-15 CHF for 2 items). In all I liked Migros - and they have self check out too which works well!

This Coop Pronto happens to be in the ultimate location for me. Bellingua (where I take my German…read moreclasses 5 days a week) is just across the street from it. They carry a variety of little snacks, drinks, and fruits. I love how convenient they are. When you walk in, to the right you will find a variety of yogurts and drinks. Personally, I find their coffee beverages superior to Migros. I'm not a fan of the super sweet coffees, and Coop's "Zero Sugar" cold coffee is large and the perfect flavor. Migro's "espresso" cold coffee is a bit too sweet, and about half the size. To the left you'll see a little buffet area that allows you to pack a quick snack if you're in a hurry. They have a variety of cold and yummy things, such as beet salad, potato salad, cucumber feta tomato salad... etc. And in the middle or slightly further back they have a wide variety of baked goods. I feel like no matter where I go I'll happen across mouth watering berliners filled with sweet fruit goodness, or perhaps a buttery warm gipfel, or maybe even a juicy sausage wrapped in dough. Bah! Too many delicious options. Also as I said before if you're able to make it past the baked goodness you'll find the fruit and other fresh produce in the back. Ich schreibe in Deutch spater. It has a small dining in area w free Wifi, to facilitate those who are looking to eat something quickly and go. Good for those going solo. Even better yet, this one is located right in front of the Stauffacher tram stop, a major location. It's only steps away from the healthy food place "not guilty"; so given this new option: those bargain hunters who may want a healthy and a much cheaper/simple salad (but not as tasty lol) could probably end up at this coop to go instead now, as you can also dine in here, and make your own freshly squeezed small bottle of orange juice (OJ) for only CHF 3 here! If juice is not your thing, this place sells all alcohol including champagne, and various types of smoothies or a cheap and cheery Coop water for 60 rappen. Lots of mix and choose option. Like, anyone care for a cheap sushi pack w a small bottle of bubblies? Given it's location and extreme approximation to "not guilty", I'm tempted to compare it to that restaurant. Let's say if I'm in this neighborhood with hunger pangs and some money in my wallet - I'd much prefer the "not guilty" chain as I love their fresh order to made salads and concept of making freshly squeezed juice on the spot, in your face, out of fresh various vegetables/fruit ingredients = uber healthy. Plus they have hot soups! If you really care about freshly squeezed juice made on the spot, in your face, like I do, at coop to go it's only freshly squeezed OJ which can be very high sugar content... But as in pricing and speed - if you want cheap, uber fast and cheery, coop to go is the place to go! They even have two self service check out machines right next to the door to facilitate a quick departure. I feel the layout and offering in this store to facilitate convenience has been very well thought out... Given I've lived in big cities obsessed with convenience and efficiency like HK and NYC, I can write a book about efficiency... Otherwise, treat yourself and go to "not guilty"... Believe me, you won't feel guilty at all!

You can pile as much food veggies, grains and salads (except meat) on a large plate for only €18 which is way cheaper compared to other restaurants. Ordered sirloin steak plate on our first visit. Tender and juicy steak with assorted al dente/ delicious veggies that chef can heat up on their flat top grill. Due to its price and food quality, we went back the following day and did our chocolates shopping after. Chefs and cashiers were all nice when we visited. If you are looking for affordable / budget friendly food options, this is the spot! Highly recommended while in Zurich city center. Also bought Swiss chocolates and treats here since it's cheaper also compared to other stores.

The grocery section may as well be an American supermarket. You'll find everything from baked goods to frozen foods to many many snacks. Prices are even really reasonable despite being in downtown. There's a to go section on the street level if you want to eat something quick.
