Upon visiting Peterloon we were in love -- the charm is unmatched. We had our ceremony in the sunken garden, cocktails inside/outside, and a tented reception. The following really made the day spectacular: - Jamie and the Peterloon staff went above and beyond to meet any needs we could have. - After a rainy week the grass drained really well and pavers were perfect for the reception. - The air conditioned bridal suite - Ability to use baby grand piano - Fans in house - NO CICADAS SOMEHOW! - Working with Samantha Joy Events - she knows everything there is to know about Peterloon! Despite being a 90 degree day, guests were mostly in the shade for the ceremony and could cool off in the house all night long. We accidentally walked into an area with zero signs, no fences, and absolutely no indication that it was off-limits--unless they expect guests to be psychic. Cue the staff coming at us like we were trespassing on sacred land. Rude, confrontational, and totally uncalled for. We hadn't even made it to the market yet, but after that lovely welcome, we turned right back around and bought nothing. If you're into surprise attitude and awkward standoffs instead of produce, this place is for you. Otherwise, steer clear--plenty of other farms around that don't treat potential customers like criminals for walking on grass.

We live in the area and have watched it grow to what it is today and it is a place my family looks to for activities weekly. The founder Ruth Ann, is the most engaging, caring neighbor I have ever met. I'm so glad that we have someone who was thoughtful and intentional on creating a space to nurture the kids in the community from the start of school and after, pour into the parents and neighbors all while creating opportunities for connection.
