Beautiful shop! Worth a visit! Super-friendly owner. CRITICAL SITUATION: I needed a greeting card: FAST! I didn't want the standard drug-store cards & I didn't have time to research for something special (like the wood-cards, pop-up cards, homemade photo cards I typically will purchase or create). So, my trusty Yelp app brought me here & they had exactly what I needed: a wall-full of beautiful greeting cards. Within an old bungalow sporting tall ceilings is a beautifully organized treat for the eyes. The gifts are a bit pricey but I'm sure the rent is too. There's greeting cards, journals of all kinds, books of all kinds, a Memphis-centric gift section with "38104-life" merchandise, and other cute lil presents. In the back there's more store which consists of one designer's (very pretty) fabric and a section for natural baby toys. The lady running the place was sweet and unobtrusive. The restroom was clean & nice. There's also a spot where someone makes art regularly, and the art on the walls is for sale. It's quite a lovely spot & definitely needs some traffic! I have always loved this cute little shop. I have been visiting for a couple of years now, usually taking out of town guests. I always walk out with cute stationeries. My in-laws are quilters and they are in love with the fabric section. I decide to write this review for the amazing shopping experience this weekend. I realized on a Sunday that I need a gift for a co-worker who is leaving. I put in the order on-line and got the confirmation email with detailed pick up instruction right away. Around 11.30AM (on a Sunday!), I got a text that my order was ready. I drove there, texted the store, the owner came out and put the gift (in a beautiful gift bag) in front of the store, and went inside. I then walked up to the store to pick it up --- a seamless, 100% contact free exchange! I appreciate how serious they are about safety. I will definitely shop here for Christmas gifts. read more

I cannot say enough about how much I love this shop. The owner is incredibly sweet and so talented. The selection of notecards is fabulous and adorable. If you're into specialty or cocktail table books, they also have an amazing selection. Great gifts for people of all ages. It's just a really happy place and warm atmosphere. I had another wonderful experience at this lovely gift shop! I placed an order online to pick up. We were going to be taking the items we purchased to friends' houses to leave as gifts. I asked if the items could be placed into separate bags for ease of dropping them off. When I picked them up (from the hook on the porch:) each was in a lovely gift bag with tissue and a gift tag attached. So above and beyond! I highly recommend this wonderful local shop. I travel a lot--both across the country and internationally--and rarely do I find a shop so elegant and so enjoyable to peruse. This shop should be on the list of top things to see in Memphis; it captures so much of the essence and charm of Memphis. Not only is the idea of combining an art gallery and gift shop such a good one--but the way the owners carried out the vision is stunning. It's like Christmas inside: beautiful, charming, and full of so many neat but unique gifts. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable as well. I really enjoyed talking with them. I feel like this kind of business and this kind of creative use for older homes is what makes the Cooper-Young neighborhood one of my favorite parts of Memphis. Keep up the awesome vision! read more

This little mid-town gem is a clean and welcoming place. Let's start there. I love the vibe. It's clean, I love that. It's comfortable, I love that. It's friendly, I love that. Do I have anything negative to say? No. I do not. I wish this place well. I hope that it isn't consumed by the retail monster. It is a clean, cute, polite place that deserves to exist. I will continue to patronize it as much as I am able, but it has only so much to offer. I will be watching and hope that it gives me reasons to interact and suport it! read more
