I have been an ASF member and patron for many years. My daughter and I went by the box office today, July 29th at approximately 3 PM to change the show time of the tickets purchased for the Wizard of Oz. The box office "customer service" reps attitudes were not exemplary of the tiles they wear! Neither of them had smiles on their faces and they did not greet us as patrons upon walking in. They were stoic faced, unfriendly and boarderline rude. Upon requesting to change ticket times, they stated we must pay an additional $5 per ticket. Upon paying $10 for the change, we were not asked what seats we wanted (several comparable premium seats were left as indicated on the seating chart online). However, the rep took it upon herself without asking us or acknowledging to honor the same level seats of our purchased seats. That rep took too much liberty in downgraded our prepaid premium seats (close to the stage) to lesser ones much further back. Yet, she did not offer us compensation for the lesser priced seats she gave with the new showtime. Also, I politely asked them about "using the restroom". The elderly rep immediately after me questioning "where is the bathroom?", stated in a condescending tone, pointing toward the window, saying in the form of a statement "were the bathrooms outside locked". I replied pointing to our SUV parked just outside of the ticket box office door, "what bathroom? Our car is right there!" Then she said something in a very low voice to one of the other reps sitting next to her. That rep without saying one word, only gestured for me to follow her. I assumed correctly, it was to show me the way and to unlock the area where the bathroom is. As I was leaving neither of the three so titled customer service reps uttered a word. Neither of them had given an entrance salutation (hello, how are you doing?) nor parting salutation (goodbye, have a good day, etc.). There was very little to literally no verbal interaction from them during our entire experience. I am very disappointed with the customer experience caused by those employees representing what I have never had a problem patronizing as an elite, reputable local theater. We left feeling disrespected and less than the loyal, longstanding, paying member/patron of ASF that we are and have been for the course over several years.

I do love a free museum and I love beautiful artworks, so stopping at the Montgomery Museum of Fine…read moreArts felt like an easy yes as we were passing through Alabama, especially since the museum offers free entry and free parking and keeps generous hours most days of the week . The building sits inside the Blount Cultural Park, and once you step inside you realize how much there is to see here, from American paintings to regional art to a wide range of decorative works drawn from a collection of more than 4,000 pieces. We ended up spending about two hours wandering through the galleries, which felt just right for a relaxed visit before getting back on the road. The museum's layout makes it easy to move from one gallery to the next without feeling rushed, and the mix of sculptures, paintings, and glasswork keeps things interesting, especially when you turn a corner and find something completely different in tone or scale. The Caddell Sculpture Garden adds another dimension to the experience, offering an outdoor space designed for reflection and seasonal change. Accessibility is clearly a priority here, with elevators to all floors, seating throughout the galleries, accessible restrooms, and even EnChroma glasses available for color‑blind visitors upon request . Free Wi‑Fi is available indoors and outdoors, and the museum shop has been recently renovated to highlight work by regional artists, which makes it a pleasant final stop before heading out again though they were only accepting cash today as the credit card machine was broken. All in all, it's the kind of museum that rewards both a quick visit and a longer stay, and it's absolutely worth the stop if you're anywhere near Montgomery. Sadly I am not writing this review from a yacht bought with my winnings...but we did leave $200 up,…read moreso #winning! My dad and I landed here for a quick boys weekend at the casino. After reviewing the other Wind Creek location and nearby Victoryland, we decided this WC would be a good spot for a chill and hopefully lucky weekend! My experience started a few weeks before arrival, actually during booking, where I reached out via webchat to the property. On BOTH occasions the service was just awful. The associates were not helpful, not engaged, lacked basic etiquette and were just unpleasant to interact with. I raised my concerns and connected with one of the Leaders on site. I appreciated her acknowledgement of the service failure and at that, we moved forward with our booking and plans. We arrived around 1pm and figured we would get a head start on the floor if our room was not ready, which is was not. We spent about an hour on the floor, then got the text our room was ready. We checked in, went to the room, got settled and then made our way back to the casino floor. This is where we met Jonathan, a floor attendant, who was super friendly and helpful. He guided us to the players counter, and we signed up for our players cards and accounts, which came with $30 free play plus $10 food/beverage credit each! Once signed up, we hit the floor and made a day out of it. This casino is slots only, no table games. Majority of the slots are penny machines, but you can select your denomination and go up to $1 per spin if you want. There is a "high roller" area where the machines start at $5 per spin. The casino is one large winding room filled with slots. The whole space is non-smoking but there are non-smoking rooms throughout, which wildly stay packed. As with most casino's, there are servers wandering around the floor and delivering drinks. The catch with "free" drinks here is you can only order a drink once you have spent at least $15 at your current machine and you only get one drink per 20 minutes. Machines are standard, nothing too exciting or anything that takes a lot to figure out There is a good variety and we found a few favorites that kept us going throughout the evening. There are a few food outlets on site as well from BB Kings to Lucille's and a nicer dine-in restaurant that sits above BB Kings. We ate at BB Kings twice, once for a snack and cocktail, the other for dinner. Lucille's was a grab and go area, so we got that on our way out for a light bite. Room service was an option, but they had limited hours and closed at 11pm...which is wild at a casino on the weekends. We ended up having to Uber Eats at 1130pm once we were done with gambling as all the outlets had closed. Our room was nice, outfitted with plenty of outlets, a mini-fridge, coffee maker and a few comforts to make the stay a good one. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the additional seating so we didn't have the hang on the beds when in the room. Service on site was friendly and helpful for the most part. A different vibe than what I experienced prior to booking/arrival. Overall, solid 3.5 for me, but I am okay with the 4 stars. Definite repeat of boys weekend ahead!
