We definitely thought the tour should include more information about the culture and food and did not stop everywhere that was suggested. We didn't stop at the Brewery as noted in the description and sped quickly back to our final destination. We ended at a location where addicts can safely go in and use drugs. While I appreciate the concept, ending the tour in this way didn't really close our experience as expected. Our tour guide was newly relocated to Copenhagen, and while friendly she did use profanity often, mentioned the winter weather makes you want to "ki** yourself and smoked cigarettes. Overall we did feel the price we paid for the private tour was way too high and wasn't worth the cost. We would recommend renting bikes and going on your own. Save the cost for another tour. I wrote the owner to express my concerns and he offered bikes to rent but we had already left. Then I responded and never heard from him again until he answered my tour review saying we were late because we stopped to face time. This is not true at all. My husband faced time my son while I was waiting in a very long bathroom line, which I was thrilled to have found because the guide never even asked if we had to use the restroom. When I said I was using one, she goes "oh ya that's good to use now I didn't think about a bathroom stop" / so it seemed clear to use this was a new tour for her. Yes she lived in Copenhagen for 6 years but there is no way this tour was around for more than a few weeks, if that. And I fully support new ideas but more thought has to be given when guiding people privately who paid over $500 for 2 people.

The guide was a little late, but he called me and apologized over and over, and accommodated this small glitch over and over. He knew his stuff and the politics, which made it all the more interesting. The small group turned out to be my wife and myself, which was a surprise, but it did not faze him. He conducted a FULL tour, and then when it was supposed to be finished, he brought us to a few other places, and then when THAT was finished, he wanted to keep us longer. Pretty amazing. We liked him and his personality. If you ever come across this option, I would like to enthusiastically recommend Mario Kamal Ramzy Fahim Gadalla. He goes by Mario. The walking tour was a little exhausting, but in a good way.

We actually learned about this place from a blog we follow in the US; and that they also offer private tours, which we did. It was a bit pricey but worth every bit. Roman was our guide and spent over 3 hours with us. He was great with our kids and equally great with us. Roman put our kids in a front cart and biked them for us so my wife and I could enjoy the tour riding solo. The bikes are quite nice--probably the best we've had on a bike tour (and we've done these in a number of cities). Though I can't comment on the group tour, based on our experience on the private tour I would assume the group one is good too. If you're looking for a private tour I absolutely recommend them!

He is versed in Danish history and shared so many interesting insights into both the history and culture. The food tour was completely unique and we were able to share so many off the beat and track food venues. We were a little confused when the address for…read more"Bikify Amagerbro" was actually some other bike shop, so we weren't 100% sure that we were in the right place. The bikes were great! I didn't expect to have such brand new bikes. One thing however, since they were so new, the handlebars on one of the bikes were loose, so we stopped at another shop to get them tightened, but that was a minor inconvenience. Also, in our use, we only needed the bikes for roughly 24 hours, but we needed to pay for 2 whole days to get this since the policy is to return the bikes by closing per day. I've rented previously in Copenhagen and know other shops vary their pricing based on when the bikes are picked up and dropped off. The shop closed at 2pm on Saturday, which fit with our schedule, but for others this could be limiting if you want to return the bike later in the day. We chose the shop because it was located near the apartment we were staying at, so the location, for us, was good. If we stay in the area again in the future we would probably use Bikify again. Reserving/paying online ahead of time was a plus as well!

Put me on a boat so I can explore the city while also sitting for an hour or so and I am happy gal. So on my next-to-last day in the city, needing to kill a little time before a museum opened up, and wanting to rest my feet for a spell...I hopped on a Netto boat tour. Also...because I had already done the other boat tour included with the Copenhagen Card. The boats are a little dingier and dirtier than some other tour companies. And they pack the boats full. You may not have much personal space on a busy day. But you get a full circle tour of the city from the water and you get to be on a boat for an hour. So...*shrug* So I stand by the Canal Tours being much better. But I think as long as you get to do a boat tour during your time in town, any one will do.

It's so romantic, we decided to kiss every time the boat goes under the bridge. And people! there are MANY bridges on this tour, over 20 in fact, but who's counting? If you're not a romantic, the practical purpose of this tour is to catch your bearings. Whenever I'm somewhere new, I always opt for the best mode of transportation to see the city. And here, it's best seen on the water. You'll pass the famous Little Mermaid, the impressive Opera House, the upscale Christianshavn neighborhood, Vor Freslers Kirke, etc. The tour lasts about 60 minutes and costs 60 Dkk (that's only $10!) and it's the best tour given in Danish and English. Don't go to the DFS company, they charge twice as much for the same exact tour.

The bikes were good for getting around town. They had three speed, a built in rear tire lock like most of the bikes around, both came with a rear rack, my wife's came with a front basket, and they were in good working order. And it's located right on a bike path for easy access to explore the city.
