Geezus and no smiles from the desk clerks or offer to keep our bags. So we sat in the non air conditioned lobby waiting for our room to be ready. Couldn't go into the casino to wait as they wouldn't let us in. with our suitcase...so then went back at 4:20 still not ready and asked the rude clerk when it will be ready and he had no idea.... And as soon as we crossed that "border" line into Alberta Oh my word that Wind hits your car hard. And still unsure the cloud situation and all the dust stir up. Thinking maybe a fire? Nope it was a tornado. We just missed the tornado! Anyways, great hotel. More pricy on the end to stay at but it was at the end of our trip leg and we figured heck why not treat ourselves. We got one of the last rooms available. And it was a King suite but it also did have a pullout sofa which was fine. The TV talks to you and knows you by name as it is programed upon check in. We were on first floor, Great! super easy with kids. Room had it ALL, stove top, full size fridge, cups, plates, utensils you name it. So it was great to cook properly in our hotel for dinner. Now the best part as you all know, you travel with Kids. What are the must have? Poo! that is right. Oh My Word that POOL is amazing! It was a full on water park inside. That rainbow slide, with multi colors inside as you take couple loops until you are down at the bottom. The deep end, big enough for one to swim lanes. And then the water park/spray park fun, and the train slide for the little ones. Turn different wheels and see where the water comes out of. Hot tub which was nicer than most hot tubs. Walmart near the hotel so if you needed anything it was right there. Pool towels available for guests to use so you are not using your own, or room towels. The fitness gym was just on the other side of the pool, with a glass window so if you did want to watch your kids while they swam and work out you can. that Pool was so fun we had to do a morning swim before checkout. Breakfast was good. They had a staff working the waffle station. And breakfast was included.

The room was clean, spacious. Beds were comfortable. Loved the pictures on the wall. They let us use the breakfast area for a family gathering after the funeral. The continental breakfast was really good. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at a Days Inn again.

I'm guessing it's the local Great Wolf Lodge by default so there are roving bands of feral children running loudly down the haphazardly-designed maze of halls at all hours creating chaos and mayhem. They thundered past my door for what seemed like an eternity, all hopped up on chlorine and sugar. After a long day of travelling, all I wanted was a good night's sleep but it was not to be had. Even after reporting the tweenage rabble-rousers to the front desk at 9:20PM, the shenanigans continued for another two hours! I can only imagine their parents were off somewhere drinking their White Claws in peace while the rest of the hotel guests suffered. A positive of my stay, however, was the restaurant. When I eventually found it. There is no rhyme or reason to the architecture and layout of this hotel, but that aside, the wait staff were attentive and friendly and the food is excellent and very good value. And, if you enjoy the constant bleeping of slot machines, I also recommend the bar.

The pool, workout room and lobby were lovely and appear to be recently updated. Fella at the front desk was friendly and did a great job of giving us the rundown of where things were and other details. Our room on the third floor was clean! Loved that! Room was beautifully furnished, linens were clean and towels were plenty. The heater in the room was a bit too loud for me but I'm a very lite sleeper but otherwise, pretty efficient in heating and it didn't smell of anything funky. Breakfast was typical of any other place, a little bland but sufficient. Staff at breakfast were fast at filling requests for low quantities. We, the group I came with will stay here again if ever the need arises.
