Everything is laid out so nicely too in a very eye-catching way with unusual curved display racks going down the centre of the floor space. In addition to papers and mags, there are plenty of local books, stationery (including school/college items), and, around the corner at the back, good quality greetings cards. Some jigsaws for sale as well and a full range of confectionery.

They used to stock old fashioned penny sweets, which were so delicious and such a novelty, that my friends used to give me orders for them (being young I was not savvy enough to charge a fee), but these are now long gone. The staff are all new, and whilst generally friendly they don't always know their stock very well. One thing the Malvern is very good on is its magazine selection, which is vast, and much better than the nearby Tesco. They also stock some cards and wrapping paper, which is always handy in an emergency. They have also recently become a Spar franchise (a bit weird, as there's a Tesco express just on it's doorstep), and stock a few Spar branded items. So if you're after a few extra groceries Tesco's probably your best bet, but if it's a magazine you want head to the Malvern.

Fortunately the staff are very helpful and ready to advise on the best gifts to buy for particular age groups. The shop is crammed full of jewellery, make up, socks, scarves, hair slides, brushes and hair pieces, bags of all kinds and so much more! It can get very busy and crowded - I actually went back half an hour later as I couldn't get near to what I was trying to look at; the second time was easier.

If you have a daughter who loves Claires then this one is worth a visit. It follows the same style as most of the others, It is very small in size which can make it cramped, it sells all the same bits and bobs and has all the same price tags. However when you get to the till you will find a huge 30% off everything you have bought. Dont get me wrong some of the stuff works out expensive even with the 30% off but if you are going to have to buy these things anyway you might as well make the saving.

Whenever I'm in need of heading to the post office to mail something off, I always end up wandering around this massive store just for a bit of a browse. And there's plenty to browse from whether you're into books, board games, or even stationary. When it comes to books specifically, there is definitely a lot here. I've bought more than my share of Christmas presents from here before for the kids and adults; a beginner's guide to Minecraft, a Pokemon stickerbook, and a few cookbooks as well. It's probably cheating, but WHSmith makes Christmas shopping a breeze because I often come through for some inspiration on what to purchase as gifts with how much they have on offer. --- I do like WHSmith, but this WHSmith in particular is just plain awesome. It is always clean instead and you can find items very easily so it is well layed out. This WHSmith, like a few in the south Wales very now have a post office included, which is handy. Lovely store.
