We drive to Texas from California a couple times a year and make a gas stop in Deming each way. This is the first time I looked for non-gas-station coffee. I was floored at how delicious it was! The small iced latte is 16 ounces and comes with THREE shots of espresso! Crazy rich, smooth, and legit! I will make a point to stop there every time now. I also got a housemade blueberry muffin that was incredible- but I scarfed it down before thinking about a photo. They have lots of drink options and some baked goods. Don't skip this place. I talked with the barista for a little while about the area and things to do and she was so kind and made my drink very fast! I could stay here all day! Great coffee--recommend the dark chocolate mocha with cinnamon. Kind and patient baristas. And the location is ideal! It is roomy, bright, beautiful tin ceiling, wonderful big windows looking into downtown, golden wooden floors (look original), clever peeks of original brick walls, comfy couch area, plenty nice wooden tables to work, study, socialize at. All the fanciness and menu items of those "other" big city coffee places with the small town coziness and friendless you'd expect from a neighborhood coffee spot. The place stays relatively busy but the staff works efficiently snd are able to get the drinks out quickly. If you're traveling through it is only a couple blocks off the interstate and a much better option for your caffeine fix, than just running through McDonald's or some random truckstop. I really like the ambiance of this coffee shop. Located in downtown Deming, it's in a cute historic building with a tin ceiling. It's bright and airy. Clean, open, and simple inside. The ladies working were kind enough to give me and my family some recommendations as it was our first time here. We got the Butter Peacan Breve Latte. It's pretty good, not too sweet but pleasantly sweet enough, in my opinion. I'd love to try other flavors, too! Also tried the Blueberry Muffin, Raspberry Cream Cheese Crossiant, and the Cinnamon Sugar Donut. All were super good! But the blueberry muffin was our favorite! I hate that I have to leave a negative review here. I love that this coffee shop has a real espresso machine and is the best coffee in Deming. They aren't trying to sell me Folgers and call it espresso like another coffee shop here in Deming. Although this coffee shop does have some inconsistency's that need addressing. I recently moved here from LA and have been to tons of coffee shops and even managed a coffee shop in Hollywood. The customer service here is not the best and the barista either seem out of it or confused. Not sure if they have been trained properly or know anything about coffee. The drinks usually taste watery and pricing is alway fluctuating. I pay a different price for the same drink every time. Not sure if the espresso machine is calibrated, if they weight the shots, cold brew taste like iced coffee, pastry taste like they have been frozen and then thawed out. I understand it's hard time and you gotta pay the rent but make sure you are pumping out a good solid product every time any time no matter who's working. Although recently the new coffee cake is good and drinks taste good is when the blonde lady is working. (Sorry don't know her name) I love the location of the coffee shop and the building. There is a good ambiance inside. Don't wanna see the coffee shop go away just want it to get better. When I first came a couple years ago to copper kettle the cold brew was awesome but not sure what happened. I hope this review helps make it better and more consistent. The food options were fairly lackluster and the coffee is alright, but the biggest issue is the lack of masks being used by staff and patrons during the pandemic. I read the Yelp reviews and picked this one, and yay! The owner is very friendly and informative- she clearly has a passion for coffee! I had the drink of the day - a mint mocha - and the hubs had a coffee. They made his using a pour-over technique we've never seen, but it was neat and resulted in a smooth cup of coffee.
