I am reviewing the food only. I haven't stayed here. In general the food was good. Our server was fantastic. What completely annoyed me was that a heavy umbrella fell on me. I managed to grip it. Hubby grabbed it and the manager came along and closed it, but didn't offer any compensation which could have been a really bad time which if I didn't catch it would have knocked me in the head really hard. And none of the staff seemed to care. They also didn't care that my husband was holding up the damn thing until finally someone came to fix the situation. This should of been compensated. Either with another drink, a dessert, or my meal off. I didn't even get an apology. I have heard mixed reviews of this place and I would say try some where else. The fact that the restaurant manager didn't even apologize should say something. I won't even bother with the review of the food. The fact that I was almost clubbed by the metal part of a big umbrella and no one really made my dinner better, says alot from this place. read more

The location and outside of the resort is nice enough but the rooms are terrible. Also, paper thin walls. You can hear your neighbors brushing their teeth! Horrible experience. Will stay elsewhere next time we are in town. read more

The entire 2 night stay was a big disappointment. Inaccurate and very misleading information is given online. Advertised as a 4 star resort, which it is not. Third floor is actually second floor, and garden view looked out onto a driveway, queen bed was NOT a queen, but rather a small double. Room was quite basic, and to our surprise included zero housekeeping. First morning of free breakfast was extremely understaffed, and ran out of food, which wasn't replaced. At checkin a 200.00 fee was put on our credit card for incidentals. At checkout this money was now called a damage deposit and regardless would be returned to credit card within a week. No funds were returned after a month. We had to get the credit card company involved to finally recoup the 200.00 We shared our experience with the hotel and never received any response. We will NOT be either recommending, or returning to Copper Pointe Resort. read more

as a travel agent I give zero stars for this resort!! Well the outside of the resort is very nice as well as the pools the rooms are definitely not up to par. The kitchen cupboards are falling off, the beds are very hard and uncomfortable and the cleanliness sucks. I found sone sort of nose ring or earring in our bedding and in my grand Children's bed they found a dirty used band aide stuck on the sheets in the foot of the bed. This is so gross!!! There was dust and dirt on surfaces as well as the floor, I picked up little pieces of garbage from the floors and the floors were also sticky to the feet. the dishwasher and dryer are both so loud you can't run them when your in the unit! The barbeque was so dirty we didn't use it. It's very sad as we have always wanted to stay here as it looks so beautiful from the outside and when we finally did it was very gross. We also called the manage on the night we arrived and he never vmcalled us back!!! When I brought the dirty band aide and earring down to the front desk they made me sit and wait for the manager to come see me. Terrible service!! I don't recommend this place. Really beautiful and spacious hotel. Super quiet and away from the beaten path. Great pools and hot tub. Underground parking. The lady who checked us in was seriously the kindest person I've met in Canada. The only thing holding this back from five stars was that the bed in the master was aging and after laying there for an hour my back was sunken in and lower than my feet. Get some new beds please! Copper Point Resort - Resorts Near Me - Invermere, British Columbia

We have stayed at this resort in the past with little issues, but this last time things were terrible. I booked a room with a courtyard view so we would have sun on the balcony, I specifically asked for that location when checking in and was told they have no housekeeping so those rooms were not available. There was barely 20 vehicles there and I'm sure a few were staff, so not like they were over booked! Then told for the 2 nights I was there, there was no housekeeping for the room. Then I found out the restaurant was not open during the week. Once in the room, we found ourselves tucked in a corner over the sports court. There was an issue with the TV, so I called the desk, only for it to ring several times then someone picked it up and hung up on me. The room it self was quite clean but when I pulled the blinds up, I got a dust bath. When I arrived home, they had charged me $200 for incidentals!! Although it will be refunded, there was no where available to have incidentals! Completely crazy! read more

Would never recommend Copper Point Resort!!! We just celebrated our wedding there and had numerous issues outside of the largest problem when we were robbed while loading all of our belongings in the car on our last day!! Considering the costs of staying at the resort, there should be a much better standard of service and surroundings. Even though our wedding was not an enormous affair, the revenue we brought to Copper Point with a minimum of 4 rooms and 2 suites and the booking of Jade room and Opal Patio for dinner and ceremony, the resort did not even leave a bottle of wine for the newly married couple on their wedding night. The 4 chocolate jujubes left in the room is a lame attempt for this kind of investment from your patrons. There were absolutely no porters on arrival or departure for the wedding couple for luggage/golf gear and boxes of wedding decorations & miscellaneous supplies. After the robbery and our call to RCMP for the police report, the Copper Point employees then say there are no security cameras in arrival area. With this size of resort(as they call it), it seems a cheap way to protect the clients and the facility. There was absolutely zero effort to aid us in this loss. The issues within our suite for 4 nights included scalding hot water in shower( where upon request for maintenance, nothing was done other than a twisting of dial and a suggestion if it happens again, to call again and maybe then they could look at thermal regulator within tap to fix temperature)....also extremely poor lighting in bathroom where the sidelights on vanity mirror would come on and then immediately go dark so again after request to maintenance we were told that those lights don't work( no kidding) and would bring us a useless snake light which wouldn't even stand upright . Do they realize a bride is preparing and applying makeup for the wedding day? Oddly a relatives suite, had an operable vanity light in bathroom. All other guests commented on how terrible the lighting was in their rooms as well. Another huge fault of Copper Point's restaurant / bar staff happened on Friday evening on the last weekend in June where you would think sales and client service should be a priority---our guests wanted to have a drink on the patio as the evening weather was lovely and the patio was 75-80% open and a staff in the restaurant told us you can only sit out there if you order food. My Groom told him it was likely they would order appetizers or meals and he responded No...there are only a few stools available at indoor bar. So asked another staff member if our guests could enjoy the patio and they said to go ahead. What kind of hotel/hospitality is this facility running? We have booked our wedding here---it is a no-brainer that requests for this kind of event are a priority to satisfy. There was also no power on the Opal Patio within light standards for our audio equipment during wedding ceremony----this should have been checked prior to event and confirmed operable. We have sadly been left with a very bad taste in our mouth on what was to be an amazing celebration for us. We hope that the feeling from our actual wedding moment will one day far shadow the end result at Copper Point. Nothing "extra" was done to improve our experience and would not label this a Resort, but rather an expensive hotel with little amenities. read more

Upon arrival the greeting was very rude. So I spoke with another lady Tina, much nicer. But for the price the room was inferior! 2 towels, regular bed and toilet seat didn't fit toilet. They do not have maid service an a sign in elevator asked customers to be nice to employees! Oh the room was definitely not fresh! We made reservations months ago. Almost everyone here has a dog! Without reading other reviews or doing much research prior to our stay at Copper Point Resort...my overall experience is a 5 star. Based on our overall experience and when you compare value for your money...this place is hands down an awesome stay. Value of accommodations: 5 stars - When you compare what's available over the Christmas and New Years holiday season in the Invermere and Panorama resort area, this resort is hands down the best available for price and accommodations. A fraction the cost of staying here rather then on the ski hill...which is super close and doesn't make a big difference either way. Room and Amenities: 5 stars - the room we received accommodates our large family of 6 with very spacious rooms, both with washrooms, full kitchen, hide-a-bed, super comfy robes, private laundry and lock closet, BBQ on deck free underground parking and TVs everywhere. When you compare other places like Banff or other hotel rooms...you would never receive such a large room for this price. Pool area: 5 star - prior to coming, we had full intentions to visit the Radium hot springs or fairmont hot springs...but after enjoying the outdoor heated pools and hot tubs...we seriously didn't feel the need to go pay more money to do basically the same thing. We were lucky enough to get a huge snow fall while we were outside and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Plus the indoor pool and hot tub was also available if we felt too cold. The change rooms were nice and clean and were fully satisfied with all the pool options available. Definitely a come again experience. We bought our own food, made our own lunches for the ski hill to save a few bucks and enjoyed a very nice stay with a very...very beautiful room. read more

We enjoyed a 4 night stay at this resort. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was 700+ square feet in size. It was very tastefully decorated with two natural gas fireplaces, two flat screen t.v.'s and a full kitchen allowing us the flexibility to eat in or go out. The deck had a bar -b-q as well with a full set of utensils. The resort is an excellent place for families with a nice indoor and outdoor pool area along with outdoor hot tub. The resort has a small gym facility that has two treadmills, one elliptical, an exercise bike and some free weights. We did not try the restaurant onsite but it is rates as one of the best in Invermere. The resort also has a business centre if required. The only reason that this was not rated 5 star and it is a reason that needs to be addressed, is the air conditioning unit is attached to the bedroom. The units are loud and will wake up the heaviest of sleepers every time they kick in. We had to turn off the unit which in turn made it difficult to sleep on a hot night. We were told that management is aware of the issue and will be addressing it. read more

I checked into this resort three days ago. We drove from Vancouver to Invermere to meet several family members and friends from Calgary. I must admit, the resort is very nice and in a great location. However, upon trying to settle in to our room, we were very disappointed to find that our room had no sofa bed (as was promised). We spoke to front desk staff, who admitted they were also surprised. We even checked with my brother who was in the same room across the hall to find he did have a sofa. As you can imagine, this could pose a problem for our kids, whom we expected to share this bed. We were given a rollaway bed for one of our kids, fortunately. We also discovered that or bathroom and kitchen were not fully cleaned (left with a disgusting soap dish and the dried, hard food on the floor). Not only is this not sanitary, it is rather unappealing and raises concerns about the cleanliness of the rest of the suite and resort. When we went to go to sleep, we discovered the remote control for the TV was broken (missing the backing) and didn't always work. This morning, we were awoken by our neighbours barking dog at 7:45 am, not a pleasent awakening. We tried to use our shower only to discover that we could not get the hot water working steadily because the shower faucet appeared not to work properly. After spending the day at the beach and the pool, yesterday, we returned to find our room was still uncleaned. We asked at the front desk and learned they clean the rooms only once every three days!! In our case, they did it on day one, which makes NO SENSE. We emailed management to discuss a resolution and got no response. Great hospitality, NOT! We like resort and its ameneties. The area is a great place for us to bring our kids to meet our friends and family. Normally, a single issue wouldn't have prompted such a review. However, with all the issues we have discovered since our arrival, we cant help but be frustrated. Especially for the price we are paying. Booked through hotels.com due to the good reviews and thought it would be a nice change of scenery. Hotel room was cozy and nice, bed super comfortable and the balcony had a beautiful view, staff was friendly and accommodating. That's about all of the positives. There was a kid's hockey tournament in town the night I stayed here and it was a terrible experience. Kids were running heavily up and down the halls, screaming and even banging on doors to the rooms in the hallway. I understand kids are entitled to enjoy themselves as well, but when the noise and obnoxiousness is continuing on well until midnight that's where I have an issue. It quickly turned the stay from pleasant to flat out unenjoyable. So I'd say it's good if you're looking somewhere to bring your young family/kids, they'll have a lot of fun.. but if you're looking for more of an intimate getaway this probably isn't the place for you. read more

BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!! The decor and the space of this place rival that of Sparkling Hill in Vernon or Bear Mountain in Victoria!! I can say the pools and tubs are amazing and the condo style rooms make it a no brainer for the family getaway though and that is where the above mentioned are lacking!! The pub downstairs and the hotel staff made me feel at home in a new place which goes along way for the Yelper. I loved the entrance and with only a few people in the building we weren't related to it made me want to keep a permanent address here!! The one main drawback would be the lack of a spa...the hubs and I love a great facial and massage so we had would have to drive into town. That makes wearing the bathrobe to and from a little awkward. However there are no shortage of spa style businesses in town and a great bakery so why worry about people staring!! The hotel staff will go out of their way if you need help finding a place to go so don't be afraid to ask! I see they received quite a few negative comments in their previous reviews!!! This was not our experience at all so I can only assume the location overalled their training and reviewed some policies as I would not write this to be nice I would likely say nothing at all! read more

Everything was great! Until we checked out. Spent $640 on a suit then was charged another $100 cleaning fee. Booked through booking.com, booked a pet friendly room then they offered an upgrade to a loft, of course we think wooooow that's amazing! Absolutely. Turns out the upgraded us to a non pet friendly room. Funny though, because there was clumps of dog hair everywhere when we arrived. As a person who worked in hospitality, I can completely understand missing a few things when you are rushed. We went above and beyond to try and make the room look as spotless as we could before we left just as a respect. I'm hide site I wish I hadn't. Than I speak with the 'manager' and I'm told 'well, you booked through booking so nothing I can do'... uuuumm I stayed at your hotel and it's your name on the bill. Basically was a bait and switch so they could get more $$. Very disappointed in light of the fact that between myself and my party, we dropped about $1300 there. Literal bait and switch. They didn't get a 2 start only because the view. Also, look inside the large vases in the room. We found rotting food in ours. read more

The outdoor hot tub & pools where peaceful and warm and the drive to the hot springs, short & easy. Staff was friendly & helpful. We enjoyed the spa but were sent to the other location off site. We recently spent a long weekend at Copper Point Resort, and I had higher expectations of the resort. Before our arrival, we were sent an e-mail with our "Guestfolio," which included details on our room, activities at the resort, offers to make dinner reservations for us, etc. The room was described as a SUITE, including: PARTICULARS OF YOUR SUITE All suites include: Gourmet kitchen with Stainless steel appliances Sleek granite countertops and glass tile and stone mosaic back splash Built-in wine rack & walk-in pantry Slate floors in entry way, kitchen and bathrooms Hardwood floors in living room and master bedrooms Fireplace in living room and master bedroom Wall mounted televisions in living room and bedrooms Mountain views Private balconies with patio furniture Barbeque 90% of all suites with secondary lock off suites Fully tiled showers with built in bench & rainfall shower heads Vessel sinks Air conditioning So I was very excited to get there! We arrived to discover that we were in a standard room on the ground floor (219B - which is on the ground floor...with a great view of the parking lot). The room is built at a very odd angle, so the room seems much smaller than it actually is and does not get much natural light. Poor use of space with the angled closet, not having a nightstand on either side of the bed (one nightstand with a lamp, an ugly fluorescent light on the other side for reading). Not enough storage in the bathroom...some extra shelves and towels would have been nice. The small kitchen has a coffee machine, bar fridge, sink and microwave...with no plates or cutlery. From the outside, you could not really see the patio, because it too is at an odd angle and only fits a small table and one chair (so we could to actually sit outside together or get any sunlight!). At $179/night, it was very disappointing. I would have been happy to pay this price for a proper standard room, not set at an awkward angle, where I could actually sit outside and enjoy the sun. Or at least give us a discount...I am kicking myself for not complaining and have since written to the manager. To top it off, the room was in a fairly high traffic area - kids running up and down the halls, noise from kids running in the second floor, dogs barking on our floor at all hours when we were trying to sleep, a wedding, etc. I understand that it's a long weekend, and we should expect the hotel to be busier, but I also didn't expect to be shoved in the corner either. Not the romantic getaway I was hoping for! The hotel does allow dogs in certain rooms - as a dog owner myself, I personally would not bring my dog to such a busy hotel, as he would definitely bark anytime someone walked by. It's nice to have the pet option, so I would recommend to the hotel to have the pet-friendly rooms at the end of the hall, where there isn't as much foot traffic. Pro's...comfortable bed, clean room, the pool is decent (more geared towards families and kids though), it's nice to be so close to the golf course and Invermere. The resort has potential, but needs improvement to bring it up to 4 or 5 star standards. read more

LOCATION.GOLF.MOUNTAINS I have just returned from a two night stay at Copper Point. Despite previous reviews, our stay was superb - there were 20 of us in 6 different suites. Our request for an early check-in was accommodated which assisted us all in getting to our tee time across the road on time and refreshed. Check-in was easy and quick while a hotel hustled one night to bring up more chairs and tables for the card game. My room had a great view across the valley, it was clean and had all the promised items inside it. Nice parking lot that is well lit to ensure a level of security. I did not eat on site nor use the fitness/spa facilities. read more

I enjoyed a two-night stay at this resort this past weekend and everything was first class. The amenities were incredible, the golf course (point) was phenomenal and everyone I met at the place was genuinely a nice person. Elements Grill had THE best Pork Tenderloin I have ever had (so much so, I ordered it two nights in a row). Horrible hotel. Looks nice on the surface but that's where it ends. The room was so small and I personally found the bed was hard as a rock. Service in the restaurant was pleasant but soooo slow and poorly run. At one point I saw 5 people working and most people were eating buffet so not much service needed and they were still completely unorganized. There are no ice machines and when we called down to the lobby to see if they could bring some up we were told to come get it on our own. Pluses were that we didn't pay much for the rooms and the pool area is really nice. They must have blown the budget when designing that area. read more

Copper Point is our favorite place to stay in the mountains. We recently stayed at the resort for a few days after our wedding. Front desk asked what brought us to the hotel and I said that we had got married on Saturday. They offered to upgrade us free of charge however we couldn't accept as we needed a pet friendly suite which are on the ground level. They removed the pet charge for our stay instead. It was a really nicely gesture and something not expected. We love coming here for a number of reasons. Good value for your money. Hotel is always quiet even when busy. Good restaurant. BBQ's outside and patios are private. Fireplace in room and living room. TVs in mirrors in bathrooms. It's very much a home away from home and the staff are extremely friendly. This new resort is interesting -- on one level, it is beautiful and modern and inviting. On another, it shows signs of a place that is going to deteriorate quickly unless someone pays attention. To be sure, the resort comes with gorgeous Rocky Mountain views. The beautiful lobby features a huge fireplace. Though we did not try it, the restaurant looks great -- especially the outside deck. It has pools both indoors and out. There is spa and golf course. On the other hand . . . the lobby staffer who greeted us was cold, disinterested and uncommunicative. Hallways were not clean. Two signs in the lobby have arrows pointing to a business center, but there is no business center. Getting a drink in the bar at 10:45 p.m. seemed like an imposition. I guess our room had 275 square feet as advertised, but it felt like a Red Roof Inn room somehow stuck in a fancy building. There is no way to control temperature in the room. Morning coffee goes for $2.79. I don't know Invermere, so I don't know what the competition is. And we only stayed one night. But I have real doubts about the Copper Pointe Resort being a long-term success. read more

**Edit** Amanda Robinson, the general manager of Copper Point Resort, followed up with me personally today with news that she investigated the situation and has tracked down our missing items. I would like to thank her personal efforts in turning over our items and planning to return them free of charge. ---- To begin with, the hotel itself is beautiful and the facilities are equally easy on the eyes, and the general manager even allowed me to surprise my girlfriend with their dog in the morning which made her day. I do not condemn any of those features; in fact they were top notch. Our greatest criticism would have to be with the poor customer care we received from the staff at the hotel. During our stay, the entire group of wedding guests we arrived with faced many issues that could have easily been avoided if our arrival had been prepared for- they knew we were coming. These details aside, however, the most disappointing display of customer assistance- and something we felt we needed to warn future travelers about- involves the disappearance of $250 worth of cosmetics. As stated previously, we attended a wedding on this weekend and as such were extremely tired the next morning (mainly self inflicted pain from too much adult lemonade). After checking out, we embarked on a 5 1/2 hour journey that could only compare to traveling on Oregon Trail. At home base we noticed that the five piece set of makeup products had been left behind. Immediately we called the front desk, only to be informed that because housekeeping was gone we would have to wait until the morning for a follow up. We proceeded to give a very specific and itemized description of the five containers, their location in the room we had just vacated, and our number. We slept easy, expecting that the room would be searched and we would receive a prompt response. The next day we had not heard back, so we made another call at 11:30am where our information was given again, including: our room number, the missing items and our phone number. At 1pm there was still no word back so another call was made, where our information was given again, including: our room number, the missing items, their colours, and my phone number. This time the front desk rep offered to check out the room herself as it was indicated to be empty. At 2:10pm we made yet another call where the same front desk rep happened to answer and apologized for not calling back. Having checked the room now she could only account for one item in the targeted location, and because the unoccupied room was in fact Now Occupied, there was no way to indicate whether it was our item or not (unless possibly checking our description). She humbly offered to make a note for the house keeping staff to check the lost and found at the end of the day. Having played this game already, we instead sought help from her manager. Her manager, Matt, immediately apologized and asked how he could help. Firstly he needed our information, including: our room number, a quick description, and our phone number. Afterwards, Matt made the vocal effort under a muffled phone to radio housekeeping and ask for them to check their carts. Matt said he would follow up with any news, which miraculously he did an hour later (I almost dropped my phone I went for it so fast). His investigation came up dry, and the case of the missing make up remains unsolved. Our efforts to find the mystical dissolving makeup bag unfortunately is coming up with dead ends left and right; we hope that no other guests have to happen upon this horrible cosmetic curse. How something so large could have completely disappeared in under 24 hours is beyond us. read more

Sad, sad hotel. It's beautiful on the surface but the promised high end amenities and customer service, do not exist. The hotel service was that of complacency, kind of bored and not genuine. I did not feel I was treated as a valued guest at all. We found a dirty sock upon entering our room, and after dialing the front desk - to discover there was no answer - we went downstairs to report this to the front desk. No offer to move us to a cleaner room or re-clean ours, just an apology and that was That. The restaurant was slow, however the waitress was very pleasant, the steaks were not cooked correctly and took a very long time coming out. Our charcuterie board arrived with meat and crackers - no cheese!? Weird. I left a comment card regarding our less than satisfactory stay, to which there was no follow up, and emailed them as well following our stay. Still no response. We mentioned when leaving that we weren't that impressed as well, And still got no help. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I was not happy!!! read more
