It has always been on our bucket list to visit Banff and Lake Louise. We found this timeshare…read morethrough RCI. Our unit was a B Unit and was a little small if four people came, but it was fine for just me and my husband. We were a little disappointed that it was a two hour drive away from Lake Louise and Banff. So, we only spent a day in that area. The good part was that we were forced to explore other places. We took a day trip to Montana and Idaho. Those were few of the states that we hadn't visited. That was a beautiful day trip in the Fall. We had lunch in the quaint town of Bonner's Ferry, Idaho. Of course, we went to the local hot springs. We drove into the cities of Cranbrook and Invermere. We did some activities suggested by the resort like hiking the Hoo Doo and Spirit Trails. See my collection of "A Week in the Canadian Rockies" where I outlined businesses that we visited. Our one day spent at the resort was enjoyable. The washer and dryers in the units were convenient. The indoor recreation area was beautiful. There were pool tables, jacuzzi and a pool for doing laps. There was a staff person who was watching us like a hawk and reprimanded us for not showering and not taking off our shoes in the pool area. When I told her that I had just taken a shower in my room, that wasn't enough for her. I also had taken off my boots and put my flip flops on, and that wasn't enough for her either. She definitely had an attitude. The other employees at the desk were very helpful. We had to pay $15 per day for using the recreation area. That was a bit steep. Although now I understand why...there was a major renovation where each owner was charged $6000 per week. Many owners couldn't pay this and many sued for mismanagement...so now I guess they are playing catch up on expenses. In any event, the units were like new and that was good for us! The views from our unit were beautiful. It was so much fun seeing the snow-capped mountains everyday.

This was one of the options on our timeshare deal, but talk about major regrets. This is a place that one would assume is a "home away from home" feel. After looking at the in-unit supplies, we also assumed that the only thing we would need is to purchase foods/ingredients to cook if we choose not to eat out. Well, NEVER ASSUME. Upon arrival, these are things we are unhappy about: No large bowls (the ones they have can fit no more than a handful of grapes) No sponges to rinse or wash dishes with There's an oven but nothing you can use to bake anything in (the least they could do was to provide tin foil) No creamer, sugar or condiments of any kind Kitchenwares were dirty (found bits of eggs on one of the spatulas) Saw dust bunnies under the bed, sofa, and table Sofa mattress was dirty and over 20 yrs. old, which is probably the age of the sofa itself At the end of the day, we are willing to overlook all of that if the staff could at least be nice or accommodating. Our flights arrived in Calgary so with traffick, we were worried we might not make it to this property by 10pm. If we were to hurry, we can probably make it there by 11pm. When we called to let them know about our situation, they said there's nothing they can do and that they don't run like a hotel. We said that we have small children and asked if they can check us in and have night security staff to give us the keys once we arrive. They said no and that we can just rent a hotel somewhere and then come to them the following morning. And that's what we had to do. When we arrived the next day, lets just say the front desk lady was no bowl of sunshine. Ever ask someone for help and even though sounds come out of their mouths, none of the content was helpful in any way? Yeah, that was her. She made the least amount of effort in answering any of our inquiries. And when she attempted to provide any substance of a response, she had the most condescending tone one can have. Anyway, I can wholeheartedly NOT recommend this place. I'm thinking, if it doesn't operate like a hotel and far from being a fully-functional "villa", then what would motivate anyone to stay here? With hotel, at least you can check in at anytime, room service, and there's a concierge that would do what's within their powers to point you to the right direction. Villa-like properties are supposed to be fully functional, like a studio or an apartment. So if this place is neither, then what's the perks again? #neveragain

Our 3bd, 3ba unit was in a great location! It's an end unit with a gorgeous view of the Rocky Mountains and golf course. Staff was friendly and helpful during check-in. Our unit was clean and well stocked. As with most timeshares, they leave enough supplies to get you started for the week. Our unit has a washer and dryer, and full kitchen. This unit is great if you bring friends or family with you as it has an attached studio suite with its own kitchen and full bathroom. The beds are comfortable and linens nice quality. The grounds here are gorgeous and well kept. This resort offers many amenities including golf, outdoor heated pool, hot tubs, recreation room, fitness room, playground, and restaurant. They also have many bighorn sheep walking around. We're looking forward to exploring this beautiful area. Lake Louise and Banff National Park is about 1.5 hours drive. Would definitely recommend.

Our unit was full of GIANT ants. The first day we walked in, we spotted 3 of them in the hallway and 1 in the master bedroom. We cleaned them out and didn't really think of it. Every single day for the next week, there were ants in the hallway. It was DISGUSTING. The front desk only seemed mildly concerned. They sent someone to spray, but that obivously didn't help. They finally offered to move us, but we only had a couple nights left by then. I have photos and videos of this apparant ant infestation. Gross. Don't stay here.

Nestled right in Radium just three blocks off the main strip it was super easy to find. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon. Check in was super easy as the management company contacted me the day before and walked me through the process prior to arrival. Also an email had a good description of what you had to do. As it is self checkin. This complex has two building with a pool and club house located in the centre. Our apartment was pretty spacious. It has a modern rustic decor. Our suite had two bedrooms. A master with a queen size bed and its own bathroom and the second room and two twin beds with an attached second bathroom that includes a decent sized washer and dryer. Bonus!!! The kitchen is fully equipped and connects to the dining area/living space. A door at the end connects to the patio which has a large gas BBQ, and includes a small patio set. All in all this place was very clean and includes lots of nice soft towels. And the pillows were super fluffy. My only negative comment is that the bed was not the most comfortable and it took me awhile to fall asleep. So I had to dock star for that.

The rental units are about a 5 minute drive to the hot springs and are within walking distance of corner stores as well. The condo was beautiful and comfortable slept 5 adults and 2 kids. It was decorated and had all the comforts of home (cutlery, towels, cooking utensils, washing machine, dryer--everything). For our trip, it served as "home base" and 4 other adults joined us for meals and hanging out. There as more than enough space for that as well. Each bedroom including the Den has a TC and the main seating area also had a large TV with full cable. The fireplace added a coziness to the room without making things too hot. There as a balcony with a BBQ and more seating. The condo grounds have a hot tub which was in use most of the time despite the cooler temperatures. There was also a swimming pool but it was closed for the season. The views of the mountains were lovely and at least once a day the local wildlife (rams) would cruise on by the balcony on their way across town. When we arrive we noticed a few other groups without children arriving and were a bit worried it would be noisy later in the evening. However we were pleased that everyone abided by the quiet hours outside and you really couldn't hear your neighbours inside your unit. This unit was extremely affordable at under $150 a night (off season rates). Our only complaint was that the heating fan was very loud in the middle of the night in at least one of the bedrooms but we assumed you'd get used to it after awhile.
