The room is spacious. I like the blackout blinds are fantastic and makes the room nice for sleeping. The continental breakfast is as to be expected from BW, not special. They let you make your own fresh waffles at least. Some maple syrup would make it a bit better. The croissant is doughy and fluffy. Not carb worthy. My husband was happy to discover the wrapped roll was warm and was a breakfast burrito filled with eggs and sausage, he had wished he had discovered it our first morning here. The fruit is a bit off, the cantaloupe more than anything. The water for the tea is not hot and looks dirty and has little black chunks at the bottom of it too. We found out the key doesn't work for our room after 11am, the following day. We had to go back downstairs to get it registered. Kyle at the front counter indicated that Brad didn't register the key long enough. Fantastic. The room is comfortable and quiet, probably because we are in the middle of nowhere. The kitchen or breakfast staff are super warm and friendly, the front staff are just there mostly to check in and our guests and that's about it. The water pressure for the shower is on the soft side and somewhat weak. The Coffee odd very basic on the room. The Anaconda smoke stack park is down the same street as the hotel. You could walk there from the hotel it's that close.

WARNING CANCELS ON YOU & RACIST…read more In July 2022 we reserved 3 rooms for a family vacation. Upon arrival the male owner asked me what my ethnicity was. I told him I was Mexican & Filipino and he started to ask if I had family looking for a job. He continued to say how my people were good workers and he would pay them well. He continued at attempts to employ my family because I was simply Filipino. I was completely thrown off and had already experienced micro aggressive racist attacks as soon as I arrived in Montana so by this point I was very over it. Due to our decent experience despite the looks of this place, we decided to book again for our next trip. I'm April 2023 I called to reserve for June 2023 (two months in advance) and the same owner agreed to this. 2 DAYS BEFORE MY TRIP THEY CALL ME TO CANCEL ON ME! Apparently they are booked and extending their traveling nurses which is complete bullshit because I later found out my mother in law got into an argument with him the same day. HE ALSO CANCELED ON MY MOTHER IN LAW falsely claiming my nephew had threw up in the room during our July trip. For the record, he had threw up in the parking lot (we have pics to prove it). During the argument he told her he input in his notes that this illusion occurred to justify himself. She told him that we were staying there as well and that is when I later received a phone call to let me know we are canceled due to "traveling nurses." This is incredibly UNPROFESSIONAL, immature to take it out on us, and uncalled for. I do hope no one ever has to deal with this.

The best part: the continental breakfast! HUGE selection. Great coffee and REAL creamer. While I don't know the next time I'll be in Anaconda, it is def worth the detour to get here.

Stayed here recently. Fairly standard Motel. Some pluses:…read more 1. spacious rooms 2. clean 3. 50+ channels on the TV 4. fridge and microwave. 5. CVS, Albertson's, McD's, service station w/ convience store, Bowling alley/cafe/casino across the street. The casino/cafe is open 24hrs. I didn't get to go in. Not so plus: 1. no hang tag to tell the maid you didn't want service 2. no valet (the folding thingy). There was space under the hanger rack 3. No coffee pot in room. The website says you have to ask for it. 4. the website says there are irons and hair dryers in the rooms. there wasn't in mine. 5. the website lists "laundry room" as a service. It is not for guests to use. 6. No soda machine, no ice machine. There is a a convience store directly accros the street, but I didn't try it. I did walk to the CVS and Albertson's accross the street. 7. The grocery stores and CVS do not sell hard liquor. 8. No chain on the door. There were screw holes where one used to be... Not good or bad: The back of the door (the inside) was damaged. It didn't ruin my stay, but it does let me know that the owners are behind to making repairs. Example the missing chain, too, and the constantly running toilet. I didn't make that a negative because it wasn't loud. It's more a problem for them, I imagine it's running up their water bill. This is old fashioned key entry folks. No fancy electronic keys here! The website says they have continental breakfast from 7 to 10 am. I didn't get to try it. Someone else will have to Yelp about it. The hot and cold water screwed on and off the opposite from what I'm used to on the sink. Not a negative per se, just frustrating. Maybe that's how they do it in Montana. The website says free wi-fi, but my Kindle couldn't find a connection. It wasn't crucial, so I didn't go ask at the office.

The pools are epic!…read moreThe water warm or hot which ever you choose and the pyramid buildings are rad architecture from the before times. The people who leave one and two star reviews must have beef with the owners. That is the only explanation. Sure, they add a $20 resort fee to their daily rates, and they may surprise you with an additional charge for your kid. But even then, the rate (when compared to paying a day rate at another hot spring plus a night in a motel) it comes out even. And while staff is surly, from my experience they get that way from continually reminding people who can't follow the rules what the rules are. Again and again and again. It would be enough drive anyone crazy. Yes, there are too many kids screaming, spashing and throwing footballs and balls to their dad who is standing way too close to you for comfort. But the water feels good. The recently renovated rooms are fine. Ours had a fridge and a microwave and features well made beds, nice comforters, lots of pillows and a beautiful view out to the mountains. Do not be afraid. The Fairmont is fine.
