The pace got a little backed up - some 4s and 2s and not consistently grouped together well with timing. We got hit into a few times with a group of four from an inpatient twosome but overall really a nice course.

Obviously, the less people you're splitting the bay between, the more time you'll spend hitting. We paid for 2 hours ($50/hour, $100 total, $25/person) and were able to take practice shots for about 30-45 minutes and then play 4 holes. The service is great! Our bartender brought food/drinks directly to our bay and put college basketball on the TVs behind our bay upon request, and was very friendly. The beer was cold and the wings were delicious. I recommend everyone checks The Cave out at least once. Especially fellow locals that typically hibernate from golf during the winter because of tee time cost/availability. Gonna be great in the summer too when you need a break from the summer heat. My only 2 recommendations for ownership, both very minor; first, upgrade the sound system. It doesn't have to be fancy, just a couple speakers on either end of the building or bar, but music coming from the TV speakers wasn't ideal. Second, toss your wings in sauce instead of serving sauce on the side.

Plus one of the guys visited us on our after round drink at the bar to ask how it went! We got to catchup on the course and hear how awesome it is. So back to golf, the views were incredible! Water on every hole. But don't worry I played it well and only lost balls on my first two shots on hole #10. Loved the bathrooms/water stations in the front and back 9. Got to see an alligator! By now, I've been to about 29 communities and passed through many guard houses. The guard at Spring Run was by far the most unfriendly and hopelessly rude person I have ever encountered. He actually looked like he wanted to hurt me because he claimed I was too early for an open house. I second guessed myself and turned back. I drove to a local mall and read the website again- I was correct so I went back to the entrance and showed him my findings. He didn't apologize or try to help. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a guardhouse. I'm 57 year old woman and I smiled at all the happy, waving people once I drive through the gate to the open house. It looks like a pleasant place but I would never purchase a "home" in there to have to see this person all the time!
