Another company I had spoken with had quoted me more than twice the price, I guess because the cameras they use are fancy or something? I don't know, because the ones Ernesto installed are great and doing precisely what I wanted. When I was on my search for home security cameras, I kept mostly finding things like ADT, SimpliSafe, or something else that was largely about selling you the monitoring plan; the equipment I think was less expensive but then you're paying for the monitoring. I am not generally a fan of the everything-is-now-a-subscription-or-service thing nor do I want to be beholden to whatever rates a company decides to charge. Some of those also were self-install options, which didn't interest me at all. They hooked up several cameras at our home to provide various views, including the basement since I wanted to be able to see what's happening down there when I'm upstairs. The system has a hard drive that can support up to eight cameras. We can save photos, videos, and also play back to see what happened earlier in the recording on the various cameras. Although they could have provided a monitor, we don't really have a place for it so we simply have an app on our phone through which we can view the cameras. I'm not sure why, but I thought it would go much more quickly than it did. I have no frame of reference to know how long it should have taken so that's not a criticism. It took about six hours total but having it done well was the most important part. I would highly the crew at 606 installs for their professionalism, reasonable rate, and excellent work.

Last summer, we had a break-in at our condo entrance, and found a need for a Full Length Interlocking Door Guard. (Highly recommended as burglars love to shimmy a screwdriver between your door and lock & open into your place easier than a SPAM can.) Pro Video Security let us select the guard. They gave a great bid to put install. We even chose to do 2 doors, given their great rate. Flash forward to 6 months later we found a small (but significant) installation error on one of the doors. Rather than haggle and hassle, they came right out and fixed it at ZERO extra cost. (As expected.) On top of that: The fix came right on time. We caught this picture of a rather infamous trio (USPS is after them) trying to break in and being foiled by the door guard. SEE PIC.

I bought the equipment from Provideo and I am all the way in California, so I had a local person install the equipment for me, and Perry took over the remote customer service, which has been far above and beyond what anybody could ever expect from customer service. If anything goes wrong, he is right there ready to help me fix it and get it up and running again. I could probably find someone locally, but there is no way I would ever find such great, friendly, knowledgeable customer service. So wherever you are in the world, these guys are the best! I've had this service for 5 years. Not because I wanted to but because they keep telling me I have…read moreto stay stay with them or they are penalties. The first 2 years was decent. Then I asked for an addition outdoor camera. I was told they no longer provide wired cameras and I had to upgrade to the Google nest wireless outdoor cameras if I wanted an additional camera. They told me they were better and they ONLY needed to be charged every 9 months to 1 year. I signed a financial agreement for the equipment ONLY. I did NOT sign another service agreement or so I thought. I quickly realized these cameras have to be charged every 2 1/2 - 3 months NOT 9 months to a year. I told ADT I wanted my wired cameras back and they could take back these ones. They refused. Then we started having issues with the wall panel malfunctioning. We requested they fix it but they stated it would cost an additional hundreds of dollars to fix their equipment thats under warranty. I requested to cancel service numerous times and they said I had to pay off the equipment first. Then this past February the alarm system kept going off to the point the police were about to come out. We kept calling ADT technical support and was on the phone forever multiple times. The last time the technician finally told us to remove the internal batteries from the wall panel to shut the system down. So we did. We asked them to come out AGAIN to fix the equipment. They once again told us it would cost hundreds of dollars to come out. We have been without service and forced to pay a monthly bill since February. I called them this month and demanded they send someone's out. I paid off the equipment early. They said they would waive the service fee. The technician got their and said, the service fee is waived but my labor isn't and all parts are going to be charged as well. He said it will probably cost around $400 to $500. I told him to leave. I called and demanded my service be canceled and for them never to contact me again. Then they send me a $1400.00 bill. Now let me tell you, I've NEVER been late ONCE on my bill and ALWAYS paid more than the bill amount. I paid off my equipment early as well. They breached the contract by NOT providing operational equipment and NOT providing service. They scammed me into buying a product by misrepresent it. I've reported them to the BBB. They dont even own or operate their own cameras. You can buy a Google camera on Amazon amd get the app for FREE. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I would like to request a technician to inspect and , if it was faulty (or it was intentionally set to a non-functional state by their staff) from the start. They said in the email that they would resolve the issue within three business days, but it's already been a full week and I still haven't been able to get in touch with them. Also, I've had at least three separate incidents where a visitor came to my home, and their monitoring system failed to record any footage at all. (The latest one: on May 23, 2025, Friday, at around 5:00 to 5:30pm CDT, my agent visited my house and was standing directly under the security camera, yet whatsoever. This raises serious concerns about the reliability of the equipment). Fortunately, I have independent video evidence from my phone confirming their presence. Given that the system did not captured any of these events, despite being active and armed, I believe this constitutes a serious failure in service and may reflect negligence.
