The halls are available for hire individually or as a whole. Kitchen facilities are good with crockery provided (although you must do your own washing up). Toilet's are pleantiful and well-stocked. They've just bought new chairs which are wonderfully comfortable and a world away from your average village hall plastic chair. The halls are cheap to hire which makes them ideal for parties and small groups. Access to the halls is via a keypad entry system when the caretakers are not there - occassionally the code can change without warning so, if you're there at an odd time bring a mobile to phone up to get the new code! Recommended.

First the fireworks...well we had the music and we had fireworks - had sort of had taken a bonfire on bonfire night as a gimme but actually not...boo hoo. Then started 15 minutes late because of traffic (hmm again), but no big deal...however about 20 minutes later it all kind of stopped, a mini restart then nothing. Everyone stood around waiting, no clapping as we all expected it to restart...in the end we all drifted away back to the cars... Yup, chaos...30 minutes to move about a car length...about an hour to get out...good thing it was just the 2 of us & no kids... All in all great start but no real delivery...disappointing...shame really...lot of people saying they would go to Barnham's next year The real question is - what is it like on race days, because we would like to go sometime but we certainly don't fancy a repeat of that

What I'm referring to is the entrance of Captain Corri's Card Club. Reminiscent of a sleazy massage parlour its exterior doesn't quite give the same impression as its fantastic name. Despite being rough around the edges it seems like a good place for those who play cards but perhaps don't have enough people to play with. If you're a poker player and fancy some decent competition you should check it out.
