Wow I've NEVER seen a mall so empty - ever ! It was a Ghost Town on a Tuesday night -exactly 2 weeks away from Christmas ! There were very minimal decorations, and many stores and kiosks were closed at 7 pm, despite the Mall actually staying open until 9 pm, Dollarama until 10 and Walmart until 11. Even the Apple Store was closed !?! I just couldn't get over how dead it was- I had to take a few pics & a short Video. People in General just didn't seem happy. I didn't see any kids at all, which is probably best as I didn't see Santa who i assume got "cancelled" due to Covid. Normally I like this mall, But with the Bay closed down, I think I would go elsewhere unless I happened to be in the neighbourhood. The other pain in the butt, is that in order to get to Walmart after 9, you can't go through the mall doors, you have to walk All The Way around to get to it! Well it was a bit of a downer - you know it's bad when Dollarama is the highlight of the entire trip !!! read more

Coquitlam Centre is fast becoming like what Metrotown used to be. The shops moving in used to be found in Metrotown - Crabtree and Evelyn, Eddie Bauer. You still do not get the high end shops like those found in Oakridge Mall or Park Royal but it has a decent number of shops to keep you occupied. The Apple store is also here. The food court is decent. I like how there are charging stations for your phones. All malls should have that. read more

Decent anchor stores, plus numerous no-name offerings as well. Coquitlam Centre has a strong backbone consisting of Walmart, Sears, Hudson's Bay, Best Buy, T & T Market, London Drugs, Sport Chek, GAP, Apple and Tim Hortons. They also have second-tier stores like EB Games, La Vie En Rose, Eddie Bauer, Plenty and HMV. They also have all the major mobile/telecom stores, and probably close to 2 dozen jewelry stores not named Henry Birks or Tiffany's. I also counted about half a dozen unknown cell-phone repair/unlocking/accessories stores and at least 3 places that serve sushi, not including T & T Market. The mall is a bit confusing the first several times, but it is essentially shaped like an X, on two floors. At the end of each of the four wings, there is usually one (or two) of the anchor stores. Unfortunately, going from one anchor store to another requires that you walk past a sea of miscellaneous, lesser-known retailers. The food court is average: Taco Bell, KFC, Orange Julius, Arby's and A&W to name a few. Parking is adequate, but entry and exit is slow due to the convoluted nature of the way they arranged islands and medians in the parking lot. Now that the Evergreen Line is open nearby, this mall is now accessible to more people in the Lower Mainland. read more

I stopped by this mall over the weekend and noticed a lot of empty stores up for lease. I was looking for kids boots and did not find anything I liked. The mall was busy and most shoppers were compliant with face masks for covid precautions. It seemed odd to me for stores to limit the number of customers while there were large groups of people lining up to get in. It seemed like large gatherings were encouraged outside some of the stores. Meanwhile, grocery stores let as many people walk in. read more

Based on location, and style of the mall, and probably the fact that I really don't come out here too often, this mall is not bad. Right on the border of Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam, it is in a very central part. Some very good shops in this mall: Sephora, H&M, T&T, Future Shop, Golf Town, London Drugs just to name a few. Very high ceilings in this mall make it feel more spacious, with wide walkways, stores nicely spread apart, and never feeling like a zoo. Those are the things I look into when I want a shopping experience. It is a bit farther away from the Vancouver core, but if one day you want a trip, come out here. One downside of this place is that there is no Skytrain coming out here, makes me wonder, with all the buildings coming up in the area, will we see it down the road in like 5-10 years. read more

A surprisingly large and decent mall in the far end of Coquitlam. Parking is plentiful in the nice large lot around the building. The inside actually looks surprisingly nice. Lots of space. Special mention goes to the charging stations they stuck throughout the mall. They have all the big box stores here, such as Best Buy, Walmart, T&T, Sears, and Bay. Something for everyone. A big mall in Coquitlam. Nothing special. It has all the popular stores like Nike, Sport Chek, the Bay and etc. There are free parking here. I have noticed over the years more and more apartments have been built around this mall. As well there are other stores that are not part of the mall surrounds the mall. A decent regional shopping Centre that has seen continuous improvements in amenity, store mix and food court offerings. With the skytrain, this mall has gotten a lot more popular partly due to new residents at nearby condos. With Sears gone under there is a huge anchor tenant missing but otherwise there is all the usual stores such as Walmart, Sportschek, Champion, Altitude Sports, and the Bay. Food court has decent offerings and always have new one popping up reflecting the latest craze. There are multiple living room seating with multiple tv screenings which makes it ideal for men waiting for their family to do shopping or seniors who go into the mall for a sheltered stroll during rainy or cold days. I'm in agreement with the other reviewers that the Coquitlam Centre is a nice alternative with less crowds as compared to shopping with the mobscene at the Metropolis at Metrotown. This mall has a good variety of stores I enjoy shopping at such as Future Shop, Zellers, Old Navy, and London Drugs, meets my basic shopping needs. This suburban mall is about a 20-30 minute drive from Vancouver. I only wished that the mall portion of the Coquitlam Centre stayed open later on Saturdays instead of closing up at 6PM. There are also plenty of other good shopping opportunites and restaurants in the nearby vicinity. read more

Coquital Centre is a pretty good mall! I work in the area so Im here often enough. Has you typical department store like The Bay, Sears, Target, London Drugs, and future shop. Famous stores like Gap, H&M, Apple store, Artizia, Lululemon so on. The food court is ok, so I rarely eat there, not much I enjoy except NY Fries here and there I like to go to T&T for food though. Being farther away from the core of Vancouver has its perks. This particular mall, especially the renovated section actually offers decent stores with less of a crowd. Definitely a feasible alternative than shopping at the overly crowded Metropolis. read more

In terms of the food court: Its spacious and there are plenty of places to sit. The mall just added a few new food places like OPA! and Thai Express and all very delicious. I believe a food court is crucial to a malls standing, and this is pretty good :) read more

One of the best malls in the Lower mainland, it's got all the essentials and the parking ain't bad at all!

This quiet malls exudes a relaxed vibe which is fantastic for a lone-shopper like myself. The stores selection is quaint but you find exactly what you need. As a young adult (19 years old) there is H&M, Garage, Below the Belt, Aritzia, Bluenotes, Sirens etc. which is perfect! If i need some shopping done, I just visit the CC and all my shopping needs are catered to. I'm just slightly upset they closed now Urban Behavior but I'll survive. Also, a huge bonus is the food court - it has got to be one of the better food courts in the lower mainland. It's up to par with Metrotown's food court even though Metrotown's has a greater selection than CC's. But having that said, I'd prefer CC's just based on the fact that I am incredibly indecisive and having less options is a good thing! If you're wanting a good "Me-Day" full of shopping, i'd recommend Coquitlam Center. It is quiet, relaxing and there isn't a ginormous crowd of people hustling and bustling from store to store. Not bad and I honestly like Coquitlam centre better than Guildford and Willowbrook malls but nothing can beat Metrotown. Coquitlam mall have lots of parking spaces but not underground so may get a bit hot or if it's raining it's not the most convenient. Canadian malls: They are refreshingly different than the typical American offering. A wide variety of clothing stores with options for every age and style. This mall seemed quiet on a Thursday, but it was early afternoon. The food court disappointed. Many malls in the Vancouver area have local Asian stands. While Coquitlam Centre is not an "Asian" mall, there is a T&T supermarket inside. For this reason, I thought I might come across a few tasty food options. Sadly, KFC, Taco Bell, etc. Lastly, the free WiFi and charging stations is greatly appreciated! However, the charging stations need a redesign. The outlets were located under large counters that made it difficult to access the plugs. If you don't have a long cord, you may need to sit under the counter to hold your device. read more

Coquitlam Centre has been steadily improving over the last decade or so (since their reno years back) and I find that with the constant addition of great stores I love like H&M, Old Navy, AE and Aritizia, I rarely have to schlep over to the hell that is Metrotown anymore. Cannot WAIT for the Zellers to make its transition to Target in 2013. read more

Not too shabby of a mall for Coquitlam. After all they did just get a brand spankin' new Aritzia, and they were host to the first ever H&M in BC. If that doesn't say that this is a growing mall and area, then I don't know what does. It has a really good selection of stores, especially in the newly renovated portions of the mall. With the new Evergreen skytrain finally arriving in a few years, this mall will be rocking. And hopefully higher-end designer stores, like Harry Rosen. It really is a nicer mall than Metrotown in terms of ceilings (very Whistler-like, even the perched angles) but the amount of lounge seating areas throughout is impressive. Parking: massive. You can't have issues here. Food court's great: action bar seating facing the mall. Washrooms here are big and close enough. Surprised that there aren't more Korean retail stores, given the huge population here. I've been going to this mall since I was a kid. It's always been a pretty good shopping centre and has a decent mix of stores. This mall is busy, but not like Metrotown which is why I prefer this one as it's only slightly closer to drive to than Metrotown for me. I find this mall well-maintained but does not have enough washrooms. Given that this mall isn't stupid-busy, parking isn't impossible to find. I'm sure its' popularity will increase once the Evergreen Line is completed. read more

My usual mall although I admit I don't shop there often. I find there are too many duplicate-type stores and no interesting ones. This mall, like most malls, caters to the young, chronic shoppers who couldn't keep a dollar in their pocket if they tried. Because of that, it tends to be one clothing store after another, with make-up stores and shoe stores scattered between. There are a lot of kiddy clothing stores, too, catering to misguided parents who believe their children's self-esteem depends on wearing only the latest fashions. What they're lacking, to me, is gift-type stores and kiosks, where you can shop for interesting and unique things rather than the same old, same old. I'd also like to see a book store, a novelty store (like the old San Francisco), a pet store, and another clothing store or two for older women. I'd like to see stores like Jysk, Pier 1, and Chapters set up in this mall. Even a Michaels. Rents in this mall are incredible, which is why so many stores turn over each year. Back in 2005, I wanted to rent a kiosk for a few months but they wanted $1,100 a month. 12 years later, that is still more than I pay for my mortgage! Craziness - and the reason why vacant stores tend to sit empty for several months at a time. read more

Same as any other mall. Not that crowded like most malls these days. Sears gone, target gone many stores like Ardene have left. The bay will be next. One thing that shocked me is my son went to the mall and his phone was broken so I told him to use a pay phone. I assumed there must be one left there for safety. Nope. All taken out. Upon that the only good stores here are sephora and apple. I mean come on? Could we please brand and market ourselves a little better so we can get better brands? After Future shop shutdown don't really come here only if I need cloths or my sister does but the restaurant and there is a thai in the food court but I hate it it taste overcooked and the meat didn't rate normal and my bowl became wobbly and soft and when you look at the recycling it is a 6 and should not be used as food but the Apple store I was there at the brand opening but the stores get old overtime and I been there over 60 time and still can't belief they don't inspect the people who sell food in the food court read more

I'm not so hot on malls, but I actually enjoy going to Coquitlam Centre. They have stores I like, without the crazyness of some other malls. (I'm looking in your direction, Metrotown. Grrr.) There's the all-important H&M (the first one in Western Canada), an Escents Aromatherapy, a Booster Juice, a London Drugs, and a Jacob with a lingerie section. In other words, my essentials. Unfortunately, it isn't on any major transit routes, and it's not too short a drive, but it's a solid destination for suburban retail therapy. read more

(eighteen/thirty) Coquitlam Centre is one of the better malls in this city. Metrotown will always be sittin' pretty at numero uno, but this mall is pretty decent in its own right. It isn't as big, so there isn't as many stores. However, that being said, there aren't as many people to dodge, which can be a plus. They've got the basic essentials for me: Aritzia, H&M, Garage. Lulu Lemon is in there somewhere. HMV for my movie addiction. The food court is also decent, with all my favorite junk and Garden Fresh thrown in there when I'm feeling fat. I can get most of my serious shopping done without leaving my home city, and Carolyn is happy. Keep going strong Coquitlam Centre! read more

Very impressed by their parent room - as a new mom I've made a mental list of baby friendly places and while all malls are family friendly, coquitlam centre has gone above to provide a great family room. Complete with 2 changing tables, 3 nursing chairs, a microwave and a tv area for tots, the only downside is that there's only one and in one corner of the mall, so if you're in the other end, it's quite the trek. read more
