They have valet parking available at the hospital entrance here which makes it a lot easier when I struggle to walk. Because I am only here for a little over an hour. They keep my car close to the front. The valets are very friendly and helpful. On my first visit I did have to get directions to make sure I got to the right place to check in, but it's actually not that hard. Once checked in by therapy, you take the elevator downstairs to the pool area for the aqua therapy. I've only had a couple of treatments so far and while I have been very happy with the employees and the way things seem to be going I have to say that it looks like I overdid it on my last visit and put too much strain in the wrong part of my back. This has had me laid up for a couple of weeks with my body recovering from it. I've had similar things happen before, and it is no fault of theirs. However, when I get back, I will have to have a conversation with the therapist to make some alterations on how they're doing the therapy on me. I would definitely recommend AdventHealth for therapy as I have had sessions with them on at least four different occasions and have always had good luck. They now have two locations in the celebration area plus the one in Davenport so there are options for where you can go.

My first visit was conducted by a student who was not supervised. My second visit was with a PT assistant. At no point did I meet or receive care from the licensed PT responsible for my treatment. More concerning, I disclosed my medical condition and no one involved in my care was familiar with it, nor did they make any apparent effort to consult with the supervising therapist or seek clarification. After attempting to do the Dr. Scholls home treatments and after my wife giving me enough grief, I decided to go see a specialist. So I log in to my insurance provider to check for a doctor in my network. Once I found Dr. Tootle I decided to call my insurance company to confirm he was indeed in-network and to ask how much my treatment should cost. My insurance company told me I would only need to pay my copay. So with that information, I procced to call and make an appointment. It took a couple of days and about four phone calls to make an appointment. I would follow the prompts and it would ring, then when someone answered I informed them I wanted to make an appointment. On numerous occasions, I sat on hold for 5 minutes. I decided I was going to make one final attempt, but this time when I called and was told to hold I said no. Informed them I was going to be a new patient that if they wanted a new patient to please make me an appointment and not continue to put me on hold. So needless to say an appointment was made. Whoever I was talking to was very nice, she answered my questions and advised me to go online and complete the new patient paperwork. Appointment day arrives. I gave myself plenty of time or so I thought. Parking is a major problem here, now I completely understand this is not their problem, yet it is simply because this is a medical complex that has a hospital and other institutions here, but they should alert new patients on the phone about the parking. After parking on the top floor of the garage and nearly in the last spot available, I walked in at exactly the time of my appointment. They collect my paperwork and asked for my payment. When she told me the amount it seemed off and higher than expected. I paid it anyway and waited for my turn to be seen by Dr. Tootle. The gentleman who can in before the doctor was very nice and helped to ease my mind. I had informed him I had a wart about ten years ago and it was removed and that the process was painful and I can remember it like it was yesterday. He told me not to worry and that Dr. Tootle would take excellent care of me. He was right!!! Dr. Tootle came in, introduced himself to me. He then got right to it to see what was going on. He treated me and told me exactly what to expect and what I needed to do. He gave me my paperwork and informed me to check out, out front. WHen I haded over the paperwork I was told it would be an additional seventy something dollars. I told her this didn't make any sense and that I had already called my insurance company to go over the costs. She said they must have done something wrong when quoting me. So I paid the extra money and was on my way. I called my insurance company and was told I was charged too much. The insurance company called the office and took care of it. The office must have immediately voided the charges as they never hit my statement. When I went in for my follow up I paid the correct copay of that visit and the copay for the follow-up. Long story short...when they want to put you on hold say no and just make sure they are billing you correctly. The staff is friendly, they just might need more help or something. I Would Sue Them if I Could…read more I went to Peak Chiropractic because I have a condition called scapular dyskinesis. What that means is that at least one of your scapulas is out of alignment. Before I went to them, only my left scapula was out of alignment. Scapular dyskinesis is a relatively rare condition and not very well-understood. The internet will tell you that physical therapy is the way to fix this condition. But I had already seen several physical therapists and none of them could fix my condition. I was desperate to get my life back so I tried something unconventional and went to a chiropractor, not knowing if it would work. Not only did Peak Chiropractic not fix my condition, they actually made it ten times worse than it already was. I would have been better off not going to them at all. I consider going to Peak Chiropractic the single worst decision I've ever made in my entire life. So, one of the chiropractors named Gerardo Martinez gave me an exercise to do at home. I did the exercise exactly the way he told me to and that caused my right scapula to become even more out of alignment than my left scapula when originally there was absolutely nothing wrong with my right scapula. Now thanks to them I have scapular dyskinesis on both sides. I went to them thinking that they might be able to help me but instead they made my life even worse than it already was. Now, because of them, my right side of my body is in so much more pain than my left side ever was and I want to kill myself everyday. When I first talked to them, they should have been honest with me and told me the truth and said that they have no idea how to treat scapular dyskinesis. At least then they wouldn't have made my condition worse. Because of their dishonesty, I now have to spend the rest of my life in pain, if I don't kill myself first. Don't come here. There's nothing a chiropractor can do that a physical therapist can't do.
