This is a new facility for FOI and it sure is extremely modern! This is my first time to this…read moreoffice. I found it to be spotless and very, bright! I had X-rays taken and it was done extremely fast with no waiting. Then I was brought into an examination room where I waited for 1/2 hour in an extremely warm room. I thought to myself that there was definitely no air-conditioning working. When the nurse came in I asked her and was told it wasn't working. I was treated by Breanna Wells the Nurse Practitioner and she was lovely and extremely thorough!

One day at the front desk, I was informed that the charge before was put on someone else's account and they could not move the money over so they were going to refund me the money and I would then have to pay again for it to be put on my account. A couple of weeks go by and I informed them that I never received a refund. Their manager and billing person on site were notified and said they would fix the situation. That definitely DID NOT happen. I contacted corporate accounting team and when they looked into my file, there were no notes about the situation at all! Not from the front desk, not from billing or from their manager and I was told that it is MANDATORY for them to put in notes every time they speak to a patient about their account. I told them that I had proof with my bank statements that they were indeed paid for every single visit and was even happy to provide them. I was told the manager onsite would have to contact corporate to have this fixed. I contacted the manager again and her response was to tell me to dispute it with my bank. I cannot do that since it wasn't a fraudulent charge. I contacted corporate again and was told that it was going to be handled and this site was going to have to eat the cost for their mistake. Well that didn't happen either. I received a collections notice in the mail. Absolutely ridiculous! They have a lot of elderly patients that go there. I hope they are not doing this to them. They basically covered up their mistake by trying to FORCE me to pay the price. Long story short, watch how they bill you!

Dr. Ramirez is a very non-pretentious and humble man. His knowledge is on the "next level", this is…read moreonly exceeded by his experience and skill. He is trusted by recognizable athletes to treat their chronic pain issues but doesn't advertise this fact with sports jerseys throughout his office as you may have noticed around insecure doctors offices. He treats all of his patients with the same respect and you feel as if YOU are his star patient. His office staff is courteous and helpful. Do NOT see him if you are looking for "pills" and intend to "shop" for a suitable physician to feed your addiction (I suspect this is the reason for some lower ratings). He uses floroscopy while a general anesthetic is given by the Anesthesiologist (Dr. Blackshear, we share a sense of humor. Ask him when was the last time he passed gas :-] ) to tackle the problem at the "root" by nerve blocks in several varieties as well as Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA-the thermal destruction of nerves/roots) . His pre/post operative nurses (both experts at getting difficult IV sites) and other surgical assistants are accurate and very well trained and all are kind as is the doctor. If it is indicated, he may prescribe medication but is very conservatively, using his judgment, always attempting to back away from Narcotic Analgesics where possible. Not to worry, he will not leave you in pain though. Pain is relative and subjective, a point not lost on the doctor or his assistant that you may see for follow-up visits. He treats you as an individual and is not in a hurry, so occasionally an extra wait time will be noted (perhaps another reason for the some complaint). I want a doctor who is not in a hurry, who is willing to talk with me irregardless and is deeply concerned with improving my quality of life. He has made such a difference in my life that, though he is reimbursed, I personally owe him a debt of gratitude (as does my wife, immediate family and close friends) that no dollar value can be assigned to it. In my day, I worked very closely with physicians and they are not built equally. Bedside manner is definitely noted from Dr Ramirez, plus I think he might be scared by pain at a personal level, having been fortunate enough not to have first hand knowledge of it (just kidding, he's not a big wuss). I hope this helps anyone who values the opinion of a patient who has been under his care for over five years. Be sure to choose wisely, I know that I have. Thank you all at Intervention al Pain Management.
