Kris (Aquatic Edge LC, "AELC") is likeable with a passion for water features. We are happy with the…read morepond, but we wish we never started. The fiasco cost us an extra $7,495 to fix our irrigation. We hired Idaho Sprinkler Repair (awesome work) to fix unnecessary damage created during the pond project. AELC side stepped accountability for the issue they created, so the responsibility fell to us. Before the pond project started (Fall), we offered to hire an irrigation company for preliminary work (moving lines, etc.), but Kris said they had the expertise. We pointed out sprinkler heads in the area, but said we had no idea where lines are (bought the home 12 years after installation). He claims we verified no lines, so they went to town digging. Not true, even today I can't tell you where our irrigation lines are. Lines were torn up during the project, they said not to worry, they reconnected them. Irrigation was shut off 2 months earlier, so we relied on their word. They would return in the spring to test sprinklers once irrigation was on, that is when the issues became known. Most heads in the pond area (was station #4) no longer worked, only a few lines were properly reattached. One full station watering the front yard (was #5) was not connected. AELC tried to recall what was reconnected last Fall but were stumped. Whatever they missed was now buried under the new pond, no easy diagnosis. 3 more stations quit working (main line to that box was clogged from dirt/debris that seeped in during the project), our 7 station system was now 3. They brought in a sprinkler acquaintance to size up our issue, but that was worthless. The owner grumbled about trying to sell his company because he wants out, the attitude was reflected through his contribution. The only solution offered (take it or leave it) was to attach missing station #5 to station #4. Terrible idea-station #4 is for landscaping and #5 ran longer for grass. Also based on water pressure for that many heads in one station, but we agreed because it was the only option offered. Some water to both areas may be better than none to the front yard so we "agreed. "Sure enough, we didn't have pressure to pop them all up or to spray effectively. Until 7/16, we limped by with half the stations and ran hoses to other areas. Most of the work was completed last Fall, so 90% was paid then. The other 10% would be paid after they could sign off on the sprinkler system work completed. When Spring arrived, it was obvious the remaining 10% was not a priority. Very difficult getting them back to finish the job. They said preliminary irrigation work was basic and they had the expertise. We should have stuck to our initial thought to hire a company for irrigation work. I own it-I hired them for sprinkler work on top of the pond. That mistake evolved into an avoidable $7,495 repair (with stress, inconvenience, and frustration). I can offer insight from lessons learned. They are great for pond, keep them isolated there. Hire others for anything irrigation related. Keeping AELC restricted to the pond, and others for irrigation, provides recourse and accountability if something goes wrong. Kris was very annoyed by our sprinkler issues since he is a pond guy. He says he satisfied his end of the agreement, but the "agreement" was to come back and leave us with a fully functioning irrigation system. Start in the spring instead of a hiatus in between, it may help maintain focus on your project. We agreed to renovate our pond, and to leave us with a fully functioning sprinkler system. That didn't happen, and we ate another $7,495 on top of the pond project to make it right, so it is hard to argue against us being wronged. I don't have a vendetta; I hired them and what is done is done. I don't want to start another back and forth firestorm because it goes nowhere productive. I just feel that honest reviews, whether good or bad, can be helpful to others.

They never did, then in January 2026 they left a door hanger on my door. I called and talked to Hailey and told her that I had called them back in November to come pickup the tank and since they had not picked it up, I had ended up moving some things around and the tankvwas now blocked and couldn't get to it. Parked the lady's vehicle closer to trailer and had ended up miss placing keys. I would look for them but to give me a couple of weeks to look and I would call found everything was moved away from tank. For the next 7 days, I got calls from Ben demanding to get the tank. To date have received over 10 calls. I finally file complaint with FCC for telephone harassment since Nampa and Canyon County sheriff wouldn't take complaint. Staub even called Ada County sheriff who now might be facing criminal charges. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Also when they hooked up the big tank from the trailers 20 # tanks, the technician dropped the hose end into the dirt without plugging the end.

I hate to leave a review that isn't glowing, because it truly seems like they take great care of…read morethe animals, and every employee we interacted with was kind wonderful!! This is a fun place for a short family outing (about 45 minutes). My husband, kids, and I enjoyed seeing all the fish and animals. For reference, our visit cost $46 for a family of four (two adults, a 9-year-old, and a 4-year-old), without any of the optional feeding add-ons. One important note for those with sensitivities: Anyone with mold sensitivities, asthma, or environmental allergies may want to proceed with caution. We were indoors for about 35 minutes, and afterward I didn't feel well. The space is quite humid, and the building is older, with visible signs of water damage on the ceiling throughout the building. There also doesn't seem to be much fresh air circulation. Because my children and I are very sensitive to mold, this unfortunately isn't a place we'll be able to visit again anytime soon. I'm sharing this simply to help others with similar sensitivities make an informed decision.
