Food was only fair or tolerable (my fries still had some frozen, cod was over battered and burned on the bottom. The mixed drinks less then expected, old fashion was warm and the lemon aid cooler was watery. Restaurant manager was very good and made corrections where she could. I'd eat and stay else where if I was in Brandon Manitoba.

Furniture was all newer, beds very clean and comfortable! The bathroom was great with a fancy pants new tiled shower with multiple shower heads, just great! Pool is great for our young kids, we like that it's not too deep, wild or over stimulating!!! We also loved being able to have a complimentary breakfast in the restaurant with our stay, it was very filling and satisfying! We will be back again for sure!

We learned a lot about the history of this cafe, Brandon's downtown, its support towards the LGBTQ+ community, and it being a nice social event spot during nights and weekends. I went for an iced tea here, as it wasn't too cold of a day. Many others went for their coffee, and they all liked it. I also liked the iced tea, it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I always like supporting local business when I visit new cities, and this place is no exception. They deserve your support here if you're ever around Brandon's downtown area.

I wasn't expecting much in terms of service, amenities, etc, and came here with the only expectation of rooms and beds that are comfortable to sleep at night. The check-in process was fine, although I will admit the elevator seemed dated. It took a long time for the elevator to go up the floors, to the point where I thought we went 2 floors when in reality it was only 1. In addition, despite signs saying the main floor door to the rooms and elevator would be locked after 9pm, it was never locked the entire time I was there. As for the rooms, I was surprised by how spacious they were. My room had two TVs, one in the "living room" and the other by the actual beds. It was actually a very convenient setup in which I went with my roommate, and he's not a morning person...so I was able to wake up and get myself ready without disturbing my roommate. The beds were comfortable too. I would say for a small city like Brandon, this hotel cuts above its weight. Don't expect a luxury experience, but it's excellent value for the price you pay here.

Upon waking I stumbled over to the phone to dial the front desk. Here is why I offer 2 stars (I never give 1 unless... well just about impossible). The front desk answers as if I am bothering her. I said hello, I'm in room 269 and the alarm is sounding- she interrupted with "yes, it's sounding in everyone's room. Don't leave your room we will inform you if you need to leave, goodbye!" What?? How about, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we are working to find out why the alarm is sounding throughout the hotel, I apologize for the alarm disturbing your stay. In the event of a serious issue we will phone you back- if the reason for the alarm is false we will shut it off and not disturb you again. I don't know, anything better than making the guest feel like a burden! The alarm was so loud I had no idea it was sounding throughout the entire hotel!

They denied ever speaking with me over the phone when I checked in . So I have to go out and buy a new pair just because someone doesn't want to return my sunglasses.... pfff keep them you need them more than me. The water here is yellow as lime at times and smells horrible. I had to attach a picture just so everyone knows what to look forward to here. It makes my skin itchy af at times and not so much on other days. The employees don't take pride in where they work and it shows using dirty blankets as well not cleaning things like microwaves
