In our time there they added/bought more equipment and improved the facility in other ways I don't want to get into. So these guys are actually putting money back into the gym. They also have a Senior Barbell Club which is a tremendous service to their community. I wish my mom had a place like this to go to learn movement patterns and get stronger! I would only give them constructive criticism: be harder on the community. Demand more from the members. The guys *always* emphasized good position and form during warm-ups and pre-training brief, but these guys are absolute sweethearts and I think they need to dish out a little more bitter medicine to help people get better during lifting sessions. The Lord's gym is clean, people are aware of others, and the monthly rate is cheap, but don't let that fool you into thinking the gym lacks what's needed for a daily workout routine. The employees are helpful and friendly. I mention one more thing as it's the most important to me. This gym is not a meat market and as a result, one doesn't often see people socializing around equipment keeping others from using it. If you desire a great environment for a great price, this is your place.

Equipment consists of a dozen yoga mats, some strength bands, a half dozen kettle bells taped to look like purses, and chin-up bars. The gym does not have bathroom facilities such as showers, but it does have a water cooler. I can understand and even overlook the spartan conditions considering that it's such a fledgling program. However the uninsulated building is a problem. Remember the scene from Rocky where Stallone exercises inside a meat locker punching away at a side of beef? Conditions inside the gym in the mornings aren't that far off! Don't get me wrong, I'm no wimp. Heck, I just got back from a winter camping trip over New Years where I endured freezing temperatures for just under a week. The problem with the gym is the combination of sweating and cold combined; it's just not good. Obviously having just joined, I have no idea what summers are like, but I can't image they are pleasant in Chico's triple digit heat! The other limitation of the gym are its hours. Kaia FIT holds four classes a day, and that is it. Unless a class is being held, the gym is not open for members to exercise. This is far from being a full service fitness facility, and considering what you pay, it isn't a great deal. The one feature Kaia does provide is a single sex environment; men are not allowed. But unless you really have issues exercising in mixed company, I would take my money elsewhere. If honest local poster like me are getting their reviews scrubbed from Yelp, I wouldn't trust them.

I signed up for the challenge to make sure I liked the gym and I would actually go. I'm not a gym guy. In fact, I hated the gym. It was always an intimidating place. I never knew what to do and had no idea if I was doing things right. So, with past memberships I'd do to the gym do a couple exercises then run on the treadmill then leave. Then after a month get bored and never go back. Creeds model is different. They have small classes up to about 8 people. I go the same time every day. I have met great people in my class/time-slot that I enjoy seeing every day. I'm an introvert so it's just enough socializing to feel like I'm part of a group. But not so much that I'm uncomfortable. Taylor programs us for the month. 3 days a week is strength and 2 for cardio. He or another trainer is there to make sure you have good form and provide motivation. I am a lot stronger and healthier now than when I started. Probably stronger than I have been in 20 years. Since joining I have had both my shoulders and my knee fixed. Taylor was able to work in exercises to help me recover and strengthen those areas. If you're trying to find a gym where you have a sense of belonging, get personal training/coaching to get healthy this is the place.

Augustine and Sarah were the coaches that I interacted with I told them some of my specific limitations and they were very hands-on in monitoring movement standards to make sure that I was comfortable with the workouts. The other members in the class were very welcoming and it was nice to have that hometown feel where everybody is just looking to get a little bit better each day while suffering through the process. Loving the daily recipe ideas that are posted breakfast can get boring just eating eggs so I am loving it! As a working mom it helps me not get bored. Chris being a Physical Therapist has my injuries and safety in mind- checking in often, making sure I am not hurting anything and he is making me stretch cuz I am "THAT" girl who says who has time for that and would run off if left to do it on my own. I didn't get bored which I started getting bored with other work outs and I am competitive so I wanted to beat the boys in my class.I have to go strait from their gym to my work and they have a clean wonderful shower for me to use which makes it possible for me to work out in the mornings. I love that they have the smaller area for babies/small toddlers and the climbing area for bigger toddlers/young kids. The climbing wall for kids, too, which I can imagine my kids using more in a few years. The area is always well-kept, feels clean and safe, and check in is easy once you've signed the waivers. We also had my son's birthday party here and they made it so easy to book, host, etc. The real reason I'm writing this review is that on one of our most recent trips to play here, I noticed their exceptional care and attention to detail in two ways- first, my son and his friend bonked heads, as 3 year olds do, and one of the guys working came right into the play structure to check on them because he heard them crying. He even offered an ice pack. So kind! Later during our time, I saw him step in and address a child's behavior who had been very very rough and consistently rude and aggressive with other kids. He went right up to the child's caregiver and gave a warning and a consequence after the behaviors he had been observing (we saw the same!). I was so impressed and I'm grateful that they are really watching and making sure all the kids are safe, beyond just physically. Major respect! Appreciate it!

Throughout the years I've tried everything from weight training to cycling to yoga and several types of martial arts. I can say that very few workout hit your body so completely like a good session of kettlebell training at Elevate. In one short hour you will get a great workout and walk away fully satisfied. Sure, you will be sore the next day...but no pain, no gain..right? The owner of Elevate and also head trainer Brent is superb at what he does. Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned athelete, he always give you suggestions and tips that cater to your specific needs. And since classes are typically small (from 6-10 people), you will get plenty of attention and help when you need it. I will not go into details of what we do in class. Emma's reviews already covered that pretty throughly. What's more important is that IT WORKS! For the past 6 months I've been with Elevate, I've gained lean muscle mass, lost fatty weight, and developed core strength (and when your core is strong, EVERYTHING ELSE is strong). I now live a very busy lifestyle and going to Elevate 2-3 times a week for just about an hour each time has been doing wonders to my body. Our workout regimen change on a regular basis to keep it challenging and fun. I look forward to each class and I'm very excited to what it can do to my body in the near future.

He was unprofessional and rude and scary and I would never do business there. He had an issue in the parking lot stating that several of the parking places were not to be used by the neighboring business, Hype Dance studio. He was very unreasonable about it and disrespectful. Unfortunately, he has ruined my opinion of this business.
