Recently, we stopped for gas on our way to Charleston. It was Friday night, and as a lady, I'm careful about where I stop for breaks on car trips, especially after dark. This station was well-lit and seemed safe. We got gas, and the prices advertised on the sign are cash prices, which wasn't immediately clear to us. The store does not have a public restroom, so even as paying customers, we'd have to make another stop. If you need gas, pay in cash to save. If you need a bathroom break or snacks, try the nearby grocery store.

This is a tiny store next to a gas station and it is not much bigger than the area behind the typical counter of a convenience store. The selection is very decent and the pricing is competitive. What really makes this place stand out is the service. Every staff member who has helped me here has been just incredibly cordial. They are willing to answer every question, check stock on something that you are unable to find and they give you the impression that they truly appreciate your patronage. On a personal note, I will admit that they have saved an evening or two for me when guests are headed to the house and I am out of whatever they may be drinking. A quick dash down to this place has turned many a family gathering from potential disaster into an evening where everyone left without being asked to and in a jolly mood. There are 2-3 aisles with dry food beans, rice and such. On the opposite end of market behind the two registers there are chips and more common convenience store items. The hours are Mon-Sat 8:30-6pm closed Sunday.
