I've only been here once, but it was a great experience. For booking my appointment, I just went online and picked some dates and times; they called me back and scheduled my first choice. I had to reschedule due to a snowstorm and it wasn't any problem at all. They were ready for me at the time of my appointment, no waiting. The dental hygienist was friendly and very thorough. After my cleaning, Dr. Choi was very prompt to come in to complete the exam. He answered all my questions and it was just as friendly and thorough as the hygienist. I also liked how they were very aware of what my insurance covered and didn't cover and informed me of my coverage before doing any procedure (e.g. bitewing x-rays, panoramic x-rays, fluoride treatment, etc.) I felt like I was in control and they didn't do anything without asking me first. Absolutely terrible I now have not had my teeth cleaned in over a year and both times it was due to the corner dental staff. First time the girl put me down as an emergency visit. So I get there and tell them I have no emergency im just here for a routine cleaning I was told I would need to reschedule they entered it incorrectly. NOT MY FAULT. So i wait some months till I can get back in on their mistake. I have some work done they say the hygienists are with others they put me back in the waiting area where person after person gets up and goes in they finally call me up and ask me if I left and came back. I said no I was in the back having work done on my mouth. The lady at the counter said they never told her I was waiting to be seen again. These people working at Corner Dental Maumee dont apparently know if they are coming or going. Im out thanks for nothing. read more

Billing sucks. They been dodging my insurance calls so my claims got denied. Insurance called three times to get xrays but apparently billing won't pick up. Billing also ignored the receptionist call when i called to speak about the issues. She unfortunately no matter how hard she tried, couldn't get through to them and asked them to call me. Its been a week and a half since then and billing has not gotten back to me. I'm not even sure billing even exists at the point. read more

Every year they take x-rays that I tell them I don't want because they are not completely covered by my insurance and they tell me they are and then receive a bill for what was not covered by insurance. I call and they take it off, but this year they tell me they won't take it off, and I owe the balance that insurance doesn't cover. read more

They have bad ethics, funny business, pushy business, and according to the billing director Teresa I'm "not the only person to leave with charges that don't match my treatment plan" I'm just "the first one to question and ask about them" .... UPDATE 6/16: Jamie the corporate patient satisfaction director is continuing to push that I owe for uncommunicated work that the "found necessary" in the chair. They have horrible practice, go against ethics, and the oatient satisfaction director only has the company's best interest in mind, not the patients' !!! If it was te reversed, they would honor that Dr. Choi said to waive my miscellaneous charges, instead of reverting and breaching a verbal agreement. DO NOT GO TO CORNER DENTAL. EDIT TO ADD: it's been weeks since reaching out to corner dental. I finally heard back and they're waiving the extra costs!!! Well that's great! But I pushed for them to correct the billing sent to my insurance, they were very quick to respond about that, and apparently that was offensive to ask, because now they took back that they'd waive the excess costs and reverted to charging me them. This place makes absolute no sense. LISTEN TO THE WARNINGS. Do not go here !!!! Absolutely do not utilize this place. I was warned against going here, didn't listen, and now regret that decision. I was given a treatment plan that detailed work to be done, cost, insurance coverage, and my OOP costs. I signed off and paid the OOP costs up front to receive my work. First visit following this went smoothly. Upon checkin to my second visit the office told me I owed a balance OOP, I said no way, and showed the paperwork that I paid in full. By the end of my visit, my OOP doubled. I refused to pay. Now I got my EOB from my insurance showing that this office billed for pricier version of work that 1) was not reflected as nor approved on/through my treatment plan, 2) was not discussed with me as occurring/needing done, 3) was not authorized to be done by me. I was warned that this office creates fraudulent OOP charges. I was warned that this office fraudulently charges. I am now a victim of this office fraudulently charging. Of course they're closed the entire weekend, but heed the warnings. Do not use corner dental. read more

For what its worth as a new patient , arrived before scheduled time. Was not greeted by receptionist that was at the deck.when setting there and looking around seen a place where you had to do your own check in. did not go well computer froze up. Did not like that i had to check myself in. Dentist was nice but forgot to call the pharmacy to put in an antibotic. Called and talked with receptionist she said she would let him know. Called pharmacy on Tuesday still no prescription. Thinking to myself this drug is not addictive its to stop an infection. this denist must not care about someone's well being. So i called and left a message that i am cancelling the appointment for the crown. someone from the office left me a message on Wednesday to ask me what pharmacy I used. My luck was good on Wednesday after work called a different dentist and got in the next day because someone cancelled. read more

My daughter has been going to Corner Dental in Maumee Ohio for close to 2 years now. Dr Ajay Singh and his staff are great at what they do! His dental assistant Cam M. is so awesome and friendly! My daughter's teeth look great after getting her braces off today. We are going to miss going in for appt every 6 weeks. Their office is very clean and up to date. Observing the office staff, I can see they have great communication and a good work ethic. I went two years ago for a cavity. pricey.. they had me fill out the forms as usual and I even put I have a very very sensitive mouth. Didn't read form, told in person.. didn't listen .. I ended up a 30 year old woman in tears white knuckling the chair. and to top it off pain never went away all of cavity is just under my now fake tooth. and getting worse. I have been a patient here before and I was happy with the results. I have a few questions about getting 2 crowns. I have a nickel allergy but my insurance company said that they would more than likely approve a different type due to my allergy. I just need a prior authorization done before i can do anything. Dr. Choi recommended a night guard for grinding. So, I got one. I paid a lot of money for it. After wearing it a month or two, I was skyping with my husband when he asked me "are you missing a tooth"? I ran to the mirror and looked. The night guard had pushed my bottom teeth around and made it look like I was missing a tooth. Freaking out, I went to show Dr. Choi and ask what to do. He compared my x ray from before night guard to what happened. He was of NO HELP. He actually (literally) told me I had to "pick my poison". Wearing the night guard to help with headaches from grinding and prevent tooth breakage or having my teeth shifted like this. He recommended I just keep wearing it. No apology, no warning, no nothing. He didn't care. I not only lost all the money I paid for the night guard but NOW at 59 years old, I have a FULL MOUTH of braces!!! I went somewhere else, OBVIOUSLY. Should have been told a night guard could move your teeth. I would have NEVER agreed to chance it. Now I'm out the money for the night guard which I had to toss, and 6300.00 for stupid braces. I have a new dentist and Orthodontist thanks to Choi. If he tells you to get a night guard, ask if it can shift your teeth. If he says no tell him Cynthia Betz says it DID and he didn't care. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Fick's on Navarre avenue for years and was very happy with him but he had a brain aneurysm about six years ago and Corner took over his practice. The good points are that the office is very clean and the staff are friendly (especially Diane the dental hygienist). I have been going to Corner for six years and am on the fourth dentists. The dentist turnover is high and I would prefer to see the same dentist. Every time I go there, they say I need a crown or some other form of expensive dental work and they want 50% down on major dental work when you schedule the appointment and the other 50% the day the work is done. I find it odd that I have spend more in the six years I have been going to corner than I did in the 20+ years I saw Dr. Fick. A couple other drawbacks are they don't offer laughing gas or other sedatives if you are nervous during dental work. And for crowns they don't have the modern technology to do the crown on the spot like some modern dentist offices do and they have an outside lab do the crown and you have to make a second appointment a couple weeks later to have the permanent crown put on read more

I have been going to Corner Dental close to twenty years and I have always been happy with the care I have received from Dr. William Choi and the hygienists. I never had a problem until recently. My husband and I always schedule our cleanings together. Our cleaning in December was cancelled and I was told to call back and reschedule. I called and was told they were booking in July. I said that was unacceptable since they cancelled, not me. They did find an opening for us in January but not together, my husband's appointment was a week before mine. We have Delta Dental insurance, and our cleanings every six months are covered 100%. I did not send a payment for the copay, since none should be due, and they refused to see my husband. They also said we had an outstanding balance. I called as soon as I got home from work to find out what was going on. The office manager I talked to was very rude. To make a long story short, I did not owe a balance since I always pay my copays when I have the service, the insurance did not pay for one claim since the dentist did not submit the requested information and I am not liable, and there was another mistake on their bookkeeping that they needed to fix. I did not owe on my account and the office manager was still very rude. I cancelled my appointment scheduled for the following week and I am now looking for a new dentist. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Choi. My mother has not had medical insurance for 15 years, now that she finally has it they filled in and cleaned all 14 cavities (yes, that's a lot!). They have done a flawless job, her teeth are evened out from the fillings and appear youthful. My family and I went to corner dental for the year we lived in the area. Our experience was just fine until we actually moved away from the area. My son was seen by the orthodontist before we moved and was fitted for a retainer that we were told would spread his top jaw and give him some extra space when his permanent teeth came in. The was an almost $2000 appliance so it was a big expense. Shame on me I guess for not getting a second opinion, however , when we moved to California and went to the new orthodontist I was told that the retainer was a piece of junk and not necessary and that it wouldn't even do what the othodontist told me it would do for my son. My son had this for about 2-3 months before we were told to throw it away. The corner dental orthodontist told us he would wear it at least six months. I thought maybe the corner dental ortho was just old school or something so we got another opinion here in California and I was told again that the retainer was junk. In fairness, I did call the corner dental orthodontist personally and he explained to me very professionally his opinion. I believe he really believed it was right for my son. But that is hard to believe when 2 other independent orthodontists tell you the appliance is junk. Cut to over one year since my son has been seen at corner dental and they are still billing my insurance. I have called many times over the past year and I have been told by corner dental to 1) talk to my insurance and on another occasion that they 2) have faxed and called my insurance to stop the claims. Imhave contacted my insurance multiple times and I have been told over and over they have no record of being contacted by corner dental. Corner dental has been receiving payments from my insurance using up my orthodontic limits and I don't know who is telling me the truth. I will be calling on Monday to corner dental again to get this resolved. This is very annoying. I would not recommend corner dental. I don't think they are being malicious I just think they can't get it together to resolve this. Also, I would recommend to anyone getting orthodontic care or major dental work to get a second opinion always. read more

Beware! This place is not a 4-star. They are behind the times. My son went in for a filling and the procedure was old school. After a week the filling fell out. He never wants to go back there again! I went in December for a toothache to find out I cracked the tooth. I was fine with pulling it as it was far back in my mouth. No...it was insisted upon to have a root canal and crown. I've had nothing but problems since...excruciating pain, blisters on my gums, bleeding, and currently the side of my face where the work was done is swollen, my top lip is swollen, and I've had muscle spasms. I called about the pain and blisters and told it was fine and normal. I have no insurance and no money. I called and asked if the work was guaranteed. The receptionist laughed at me, I was put on hold, then hung up on. Never again. read more

Dr. Choi and his hygienist always explained everything to me and took time to answer my questions. Wait times are nonexistent, and I was always in and out within 45 minutes (for a routine check/cleaning/X-rays). Prices are very reasonable.
