The DRs here were NOT willing to work with us due to a disability. They continued to push us off and dismiss concerns. Staff rushed us through the appointment and with no clear x rays determined they couldn't help us even with visible damage. Corner Dental in Maumee has the worst customer service. I called three times and left three messages, but they never returned my calls. Although they stated after my evaluation they would call and set up my cleaning. Well, that was in April. Now it is June, and they never called. Finally, I reached a third-party representative to make an appointment. They could not give me any information about their services. They couldn't provide me with a phone number and then tried to charge me again for a procedure I had already paid for after my previous appointment. Dealing with this location has been a nightmare. They messaged me that they had issues and had to reschedule me. I called and they gave me an appointment SIX MONTHS!!!! away. That's would havr been a year since my last appointment was last August. My insurance pays for four cleanings a year but this place can only schedule in six month increments. Its bad enough that I cannot get all of my cleanings in that are alotted to me, but then to cancel me and reschedule me for six months?!?! I am calling HR at my company to let them know. Corner Dental Sylvania has the worst office staff I have had the discomfort of experiencing. There is an "unofficial" attendance policy that if you do not confirm you are coming to the apt that you already acknowledged and accepted that you were coming to they automatically cancel the appointment without any notice. This is not posted anywhere, there is no sign paperwork that you agreed to, and you do not find this out until you show up to an agreed upon apt and they have already cancelled and the they state well we have a 60percent no call no show average so we protect ourselves and fill it with another individual. There is also 2 front desk clerks that don't do a thing but ask you to sign in on the computers that don't work majority of the time while the sit a yap and eat chili dogs instead of efficiently and productively putting the customer first and registering them in a timely manner. read more

I made an appointment for a dental cleaning at least 9 months to a year in advance. A week to the appointment it had to be canceled because the hygienist had an unexpected issue which I originally understood because things happen and my appointment was rescheduled a month later. I get a few days from that appointment and my cleaning needed to be rescheduled again because of the doctor having an issue pushing me all the way to December after they said you can go on the cancelation list and get in which is not happening. To say I'm not happy is an understatement. I guess if I had a tooth ache something that cost money I would be seen. Very upset!!! read more

I've been a patient at Corner Dental for ten years total, eight of those at the Talmadge location. Overall, it's been a good experience, and my mouth is infinitely healthier now than it was ten years ago. There are downsides to any dentist's office, and this one is no exception. The appointments get more delayed as the workday progresses, so a morning appointment is more likely to be on time than one over the lunch hour or in the afternoon. On occasion, a dentist will come on staff who isn't of the caliber of the others, and will suggest something unexpected (in my case, replacing some four fillings -- luckily, my trusted hygienist advised me to wait on those). My hygienist, Davina, is definitely one of the upsides of coming to this location. As of this review, she's in her ninth year at Corner Dental, and she knows her stuff. She's polite and pleasant, and she's got a sense of humor, but she'll let you know in no uncertain terms if you need to floss more often! Her cleanings are quick but thorough, and actually not too uncomfortable. Another pro of Corner Dental is the convenience. I've had teeth extracted (two wisdom teeth and four for braces) by Dr. Hashemi, the oral surgeon on staff; Dr. Thaler, the periodontist, had me under his care for some time for my gums; and I spent three-plus years in braces under the care of various orthodontists on staff. (There is now a dedicated orthodontic office next door, with whom they appear to be affiliated.) My usual dentist, Dr. Choksey, is always pleasant and professional, if not always punctual. (Waiting for the post-cleaning exam is generally the longest wait of a typical visit for me.) I will say that there have been times that the billing has surprised me, There was one instance several years ago when I paid an unexpectedly large bill that insurance later covered, so I had a hefty credit on my account for some time. For the most part, though, the staff lets me know in advance of a new treatment how much it will cost me out of pocket. Many patients don't review a dentist's office if it's just a typical trip to the dentist; they'll only go online and post a review if things go wrong. I've been a patient for over ten years, and I can count on one hand the number of times I've been seriously inconvenienced. I'd say that's a pretty good track record. Everyone: two front desk women, the dental assistant, the dentist and the hygienist were really friendly. I almost canceled my appointment this morning because I forgot to get an antibiotic prescription first which I have to take before a cleaning because I'm a transplant patient. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I went in this past Wednesday with severe tooth pain and after speaking to the doctor on Wednesday we scheduled a root canal for today. Upon arriving they had no idea I had an appointment. When I showed them my reminder card they handed me 2 days prior they seemed rushed to fix it- finally after getting into a room- I waited over a half hour for someone to come in. The dentists assistant entered asking what exactly I was having done! Your the dentist! Shouldn't you have that on file???? I waited another 30 minutes till someone else came in- also clueless and had to explain to her what I was having done. She seemed lost and confused still asking everyone "is this right?" "It's this size right?"- really reassuring! The dentist finally arrived an hour after the procedure was supposed to start to numb me! Half and hour passed and he came in to start- I felt EVERYTHING! They kept going until I started squirming and tears running down my face! He said "oh she must of felt that?" Yes moron! I did! They let me sit for a bit longer to numb it- than finally come back after another 20 minutes. They were rushing and hasty for the entire process. The assistant asked how I was doing and I explained to her that this was the worst experience I had ever had. She kept asking if there was something she could do... maybe quit asking me questions and Finnish what your doing so I can get out of there!?!? I will not go back! Other Corner Dental in Toledo are closed however Talmadge remains open for emergencies unfortunately they determined a loose crown is not an emergency. However with my poor health and knowing all of the dental work that's required to fix my teeth it should easily be considered urgently needed!!! Talmadge Corner Dental has left me without a top partial since the beginning of January which minimally contributed to the crown that was next to where my partial should be to break loose in mid March. Also I do understand the difficulties surrounding covid-19 but I don't believe businesses like TCD should treat patients like what's happening to them during this time doesn't matter!!! Back in August of 2019 when I had my first appointment with TCD Dr. Choksey said he could do root canals and crowns to repair my bottom teeth however TCD could not fit me until a month later whereas the Lewis office had availability the next week which I accepted. I assumed the root canals were scheduled to be done at that appointment however to my surprise the dentist came into the room and I will seriously never forget what he said "he would not waste his time doing root canals to fix my teeth" and that according to him TCD had also recommended extraction for my bottom teeth not root canals and he walked out! Needless to say that wasn't what had happened at my appointment with TCD and I was beyond upset so I just left later canceling my appointments with CD! When Dr. Choksey told me that root canals were actually possible for my bottom teeth I was elated, especially since another dentist whose not associated with CD had said my lower teeth would need to be extracted. After what happened I chose not to return to CD that was until my top partial broke again on New Year's Eve leaving me desperate! I had taken my broken partial to several dental offices and TCD was the first to say they could fix the partial so on 1/2/20 I reluctantly went back!!! Once there they said my top partial couldn't be repaired but since I had paid for that partial they could submit a claim to my insurance for a new top partial which shouldn't take but a couple of weeks. They submitted an expedited claim on January 8th which was declined for insufficient information. On January 11th when I received the letter from my insurance I contacted TCD and the woman who answered said they would take care of it. From there I called TCD twice each week for 6 weeks before TCD replied to my insurance 2/20. On February 24th it was declined again for not being submitted within 30 days and they still wanted a detailed plan for my teeth. Around March 20th I noticed my crown was loose and I regrettably went back to TCD since they were the only dentist I could actually find open due to Covid-19. TCD scheduled me for the next afternoon and once there the office manager came back to inform me they had other claims with my insurance including one for another partial all of which had went through without any complications except of course for mine as if telling me this was supposed to make me feel better! Not that anyone seems to care but by this time I had already been missing most of my front teeth for almost four months causing me to be thoroughly embarrassed whenever I opened my mouth to speak! In March Dr. Choksey tried telling me that an entire dental plan had been previously explained to me but he was WRONG the only things that were discussed with me included 1. replacing my top partial which was no longer usable and 2. August 2019 doing root canals with crowns to fix my lower front teeth! Dr. Choksey said he could fix my crown in two weeks but when the person came back to schedule my appointment the soonest available was April 21st (a month later) and I asked how I was supposed to prevent this loose crown from breaking for another month which I quickly learned wasn't their problem only mine! Somehow I actually managed to make it to my scheduled appointment without breaking my crown and I eagerly called to confirm my appointment but yet again I was blindsided when the woman who answered said "they were too busy dealing with emergencies to reschedule my appointment" and since mine was not considered an emergency she couldn't schedule another appointment for me until after May 18th. As far as I am concerned my crown would have likely never broke loose if I hadn't been without a top partial for almost 4 months! From January through today according to my insurance TCD submitted information on January 8th and February 20th seriously only twice over 4 months and both were declined for insufficient information! From my perspective if anyone at TCD had to leave their home with their mouth looking like mine, more could and should have been done to help me! Each time I leave home and open my mouth to say anything I am totally humiliated and when that crown does finally break it will literally leave me with no front teeth and from my experience with CD they simply just don't care!!! read more

This place was pointless to even go to! i am suffering from oral abcesses so my health and life are in danger, they did not do anything but refer me someplace else that will charge an arm and a leg for the services i need. I have tried numerous times to have the referral sent to the location i prefer they, say they will- and they take my information down... and they have yet to send it anywhere. I see many have had the same experiences we have had with corner dental on talmadge road. Twice we have arrived only to find out they don't have a part for my crown. We drove hour and 15 minutes round trip each time. Each time they claimed they called to cancel. No record in my phone or my husbands of a phone call cancelling the appointment. We did, however, get three texts (the last one was at 7:30 this am) to remind me of my 9 am appointment. The appointment they obviously didn't call us to cancel. The experience I had twice now has left me wondering if I should charge for the gas and the hour and a half to get to the appointments only to turn around and do it again. I was moving out of town on a Friday and on a Wednesday night a large filling popped out while flossing my teeth. Dr. Choksey was able to get me into the office the next morning and have the lab rush an onlay overnight to be done Friday afternoon. This process usually takes about a week, so he really went above and beyond to help me in my time of need. His office staff and assistants are excellent - very nice, knowledgable, and helpful. Went to appt at 4pm today. I waited 45 minutes in the chair and then they told me my cast wasn't ready yet. My last appt was to get impression for dental implant. I had a cracked crown that I was waiting on fixing, before I knew it Dr. CHOSKEY gave 3 shots of novacaine and then had someone talk to me about getting my crown fixed and the cost. Shouldn't they ask you BEFORE they make you numb? It cost over 700 dollars! I was told I was all paid up for dental implant and crown and was told I still had a 22 dollar balance today. I had a painful tooth treated by Dr. Choksey in September 2017. He performed a root canal and put a crown on the back molar. The first thing I noticed was that the crown looked cheap, was glued in crooked and did not match my other teeth, not even close. He charged me over $2,225.00 for the procedure. I returned to see Dr. Choksey regarding my concerns, in addition to the fact that the tooth was still extremely painful ...just as it was before treatment. Dr. Choksey told me it was great, I was not seeing it correctly and that nothing was wrong regarding the continued pain. Corner Dental is supposed to be a huge provider in the Toledo area that accepts Medicaid. Apparently these locations have recently decided they are NOT accepting Medicaid...unless you're under 18 or have a dental emergency, that is. So they DO accept Medicaid, they're just picking and choosing who they'll allow to make an appointment. As I was told, "we're just all booked up with people that have other insurances, so we're not scheduling any Medicaid appointments right now". So they didn't even give me an option to wait a few months until an appointment was available. Apparently they're booked forever, or are able to see the future, she didn't say which it was. Sounds like this company is pretty prejudiced. Also, my insurance provider was not pleased when I relayed this information to them, called Corner themselves, and called me back apologizing and in disbelief that a company would be so blatantly discriminatory. Candis Oakley at the front desk has been great every time I've been there or called with a problem. I called for a prescription because I was in extreme pain from a infection in my teeth and she made sure that the prescription was transferred to my vacation location. I'm always greeted with a smile and in a professional manner. Doctors and nurses always answer my questions and treat me in a respectful way. read more

I requested a pre-authorization for a bone graft - was told my portion would be $1000; then after the procedure I was told I owed an additional $1623 - to cover materials such as pins and bone cadaver! I've been going to this Dentist for years. I enjoyed it there when the Primary Dr is there. Very professional as are most of the technicians and hygienists. But these new assistants are totally unfit for the business. Unprofessional and rude. My appointment was for THREE fillings which would of taken an hour at least. But I was having pain in a tooth the worked on a month ago... so I asked them to look at it today and when the "dentist" found out, she was so rude about it. Would of taken her 30 minutes at the most! If it was a problem, then the staff should of informed me to make a new appointment. I went to Corner Dental because I have insurance that my current dentist does not accept. I went in for a cleaning. They took xrays and did a periodontal test. The hygienist told me I had gum disease and refused to do the cleaning. She said it would be malpractice. She also told me I would need several crowns. I have had regular care from a reputable dentist and knew this was not the case. Then the dentist came in and said every thing looked fine. They wanted to schedule me for a deep cleaning for $700. The wait times are hit and miss. Most of the time I get right in and out. However this is a medical facility and we all know emergencies can happen. People with other serious conditions can take presidence, as they should. Whenever I go to any dental or medical procedure, I make sure that I have plenty of time for whatever comes my way. The staff at Talmadge has always been very friendly and appreciative of me and my family. The hygiene people are amazing at their job with the x-rays that always make me gag. Absolutely do not go to this place. First off, I had to wait over a month for my first appointment where he assured me that it would be an easy procedure. Then I waited another month for my actual root canal appointment. So, I went yesterday for two root canals and all they did was make it worse. My mouth was being drilled for 4 HOURS. So much pain and distress. Just for them to break one of my teeth off!!!!! Worst experience ever .I am completely scarred. I left there sobbing. This is one of my front teeth they broke off. My wedding is in 3 months. I am completely crushed and now trying to do damage control .the infection in my tooth wasn't even fixed so I am now worse off than I was before. I can't afford to pay for the costly partial denture I don't even want so I either have to get my tooth pulled and not have a tooth in the front of my mouth for my wedding or I have to let the infection go and rot the rest of my mouth. AWESOME. Not to mention one of the assistants was rude and was basically drowning me with the sprayer because Dr. Hall had his hands in my mouth and she was spraying the water up my nose. I had to pick a piece of metal of it my mouth after he must've broke part of the drill off. They kept numbing me then leaving me alone and coming back and drilling when it had already worn off. DO NOT GO HERE. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. If I could sue them for money for an implant to replace my tooth I would. NO STARS!!!!! I have been going to corner dental since 1973 and used to get stellar care, since 2015, it has been hell. I had dentures made at the Sylvania office, went back 5 or 6 times to get then fitting right, but no luck. they relined the upper and the lower was off-kilter( with my teeth closed, I could slide my pinkie between my teeth on the left side. even from the front, you could tell that they weren't right. the dentist just said well unless you want to spend thousands of dollars, that is as good as you are going to get. i was shocked by the comments he made and left the office in tears. I am 67 and pretty tough, but that was awful. I made do with them till 2017 when one of the teeth that anchored the bottom plate broke off from getting pushed back and forth each time I wore and removed them. I called and made an appointment because I was in pain, but I sat in the chair for 2and 1/2 hours and they never addressed the tooth, they just kept shoving papers and numbers at me and didn't seem to get the concept of I can't afford that. I am on a fixed income and just can't afford to pay for another set of dentures that they made and never fit. All I wanted was for them to replace the dentures with a set that fit. corner dental never accepted responsibility for the problem or offered to replace them. then they pulled the worst trick I can think of, they referred me to another dentist who specialized in dentures . after the doc checks my mouth, the office manager came in and lowered the boom. she said that the other corner dental was going to write off the 3000 they had charged me(they didn't do the work and my care credit took it off my bill, so corner dental just started billing me directly ) and it was going to cost me 2500 to 300 for them to do the work. corner dental sleazed out of fixing their mistake, needless to say, it took me about half an hour crying in the parking lot to get my7self together enough to drive. I Don't usually bad mouth a business BUT, my fiancé was having real bad pain in a tooth that corner dental worked on less that a year prior. She had a very bad experience while the procedure was going on ranging from very bad customer service, a very rude office manager and assembly line dentistry. Since that root canal and crown(well over $1000) she had another problem and went to Great Smiles in Sylvania and they were great! Anyway, we went to Great Smiles yesterday and they said she shouldn't be having ANY PAIN in a tooth that had a root canal. They did an x-ray and found that they didn't remove all the root, the one post that they put in was broken and bent on an angle on the middle of the root and the crown was not properly set causing food to get between crown and tooth. She had a very bad infection as a result of this and has to now undergo a second root canal procedure on that same tooth to fix what Corner dental did not do. We are seeking a lawyer in this case to have corner dental pay for the fix and maybe some pain and suffering.... STAY AWAY FROM THIS ASSEMBLY LINE DENTIST!!!!! Beware!!!!!! read more
