This place just seems like a Medicare/Medicaid parasite. It is ALL about the $ale. Terrible service and bullying to get to sign documents so they can get their Medicare/Medicaid GUARANTEED payments. That doesn't even go into the demeanor of the staff as one of the employees sits at her desk dropping F-bombs while on the phone with people either at her desk or in the showroom. Went to return a CPAP which I told Lisa that I would not be keeping within 3 seconds of trying it in. She just kept pushing $ell $ell $ell. They wanted those government $$$$$. No matter how many times I told her I would not be keeping, she kept pushing the papers in front of me and telling me to sign. The device was miserable and actually caused more issues for me in my sleep. I called the doctor's office and got a call back saying there was no issue "just take it back." After a few days, I called the main line and said I would be bringing back. I was told "no problem. just drop of at any store." A few days later I went back to the Bloomington store and waited about 20 minutes while F-bomb handled some couple. When she got to me, I told her I was there to return, and she got mad saying I needed an appointment which I told her I did not and had said it would come back. She was very annoyed to need to be actually doing something and eventually said she would take the return and told me I had to sign their "Against medical Advice" document. I refused to sign it and she snapped back the I was required to sign it because "IT'S THE LAW!" There is no such law. She then tells me 'I done wit you, You can leave. I late for my lunch." At that point, Lisa comes out also saying I am required to sign this document. I again told her, "I told you I didn't want it and it would be coming back within 3 seconds." Lisa snapped back "you could have just got up and left. you signed the papers!" This told me WHY I would never sign anything with these people again. I could tell how dishonest they were $ell $ell $ell. F-bomb had made an appointment for me at another location 2 weeks later to return. When I went into that store for my appointment, they told me "you don't need an appointment for a return." They did try to get me to sign their document again, but I told them I would not since the doctor said I can do whatever I want and if I wanted to return I could. The doctor required NO signed document. The other store was much friendlier which was not hard to be, but it was still $ell $ell $ell since it was being 100% covered. I have to wonder how many people succumb to the bullying and the "IT'S THE LAW!" antics of these people getting rich off the government ca$h cow Medicare/Medicaid. read more

Don't trust Corner Home Medical to follow through on promised delivery. Ordered custom power recliner for mother in law. CHM called a week out to arrange delivery. Could only commit to 4 hour window 9am - 1pm. I had to travel an hour to be on hand, then waited as planned. At noon CHM called to say delivery wouldn't happen today. Recliner not picked up from St Paul warehouse (even though it has arrived a week earlier). Have to reschedule and take time off from work AGAIN. Worst if all, CHM wouldn't credit the delivery fee despite the fact they knew in advance delivery today wouldn't happen. Terrible customer service! read more

She explained the obstacles to getting the appropriate amount of therapeutic sleep and helped me work through them, including insurance/medicare, proper techniques for using my device, and replacement of the wrong hose sent by the manufacturer of my bipap machine. She was kind, skillful, and understanding when I missed an appointment due to illness. read more

I bought a defective item. So I contacted the customer service guy. He said he would get me a replace part. I did not receive the item. I called to inquire, and was told on the phone that I would have to pick it up or pay additional charges. I then contacted the manufacturer for the replace parr, she sent the part with one day delivery and no additional charges, I would recommend not purchasing anything from corner medical company due to poor customer service. read more

First, I called corner home medical to see if you carry travel CPAP machines I was told yes no further information went out to the store only to be told that I had to have a doctor's order and the settings on my CPAP machine wasted trip got the order and the settings from my machine And was called by your company to make an appointment I called back I needed to make four phone calls either I got cut off nobody returned, and the last time I got connected to the Osteo office even though I was calling Bloomington made the appointment to go get the travel CPAP machine got out to the appointment and was then told they don't keep anything in stock. It Hass to be ordered first another wasted trip is that information was not given to me, when I expressed my frustration and said this was now the second trip that I had made from Eden Prairie to Bloomington and still nothing accomplished. The response was well it's not that far from Eden Prairie to Bloomington totally inappropriate and dismissive. I found the staff to be rude and unsupportive. Impossible to work with. I attempted to set up an account with them to provide ongoing medical supplies. Provided all of the requested info regarding insurance, RX etc. They said it all had to be verified before I could place an order. That was the last time I was able to talk with an actual person. Phones are answered with a message to hold for a representative that almost never answers. Going on the second week of waiting now. Today I contacted a different supplier who was able to take care of all my needs with one phone call (an actual person answers). At this point I consider myself lucky that Corner Home Medical was non-responsive. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to contact them for re-ordering supplies on a regular basis. read more

My daughters Recliner was finally delivered yesterday. Ben Rachel Warehouse Manager, finally got to the bottom of the dilemma. The chair that was first delivered was the correct one it just didn't look like the correct color or the right size. Ben was very empathetic to the issues I brought forth and the attitude and bad customer service I had experienced for so long. It seems he has taken it seriously enough to realize they need to make some changes to the training and overall procedures of the company. Hopefully the rest of the company supports his efforts. This was the worst customer service right from the beginning. First when you call them you get a switchboard located somewhere else, cant call the store directly, left 3 messages before anyone called me back approx 6 business days later. When I talked to them to set up consultation, I explained that my insurance started over on Jan 1, and would like to get in. The response was "you and everyone else, honey". Jump forward aprox 3 months, I wanted to return my machine and I got there at 5:25 and they were closed, hours are stated as open till 5:30. Traffic was horrible coming from Minneapolis and I was frustrated. I looked into the store and saw nothing, everything was very dark. Out of frustration I kicked at the door, not my best moment, I agree. They next day I got there at 3:30, walked in and waited while the people were counting money, finally the heavy set woman, snarked at me can I help you. I said I wanted to return my CPAP and complained that I was there the day before and they were closed. The woman said that she was there at her desk when I got there and she witnessed me kicking the door. We argued that they are not really open till 5:30 because they are told told to lock the door early. She then informed me that if she had seen what I wanted, she would have turned me away anyway. I explained again that your not really open till 5:30 then. Up until now the other woman has said nothing, she then said " yes, I do ask them to lock the door early especially when they are there alone". I told them that I have been in customer service for many years and if a customer comes in before closing you take care of them. If a restaurant closes at 11:30 and you arrive at 11:15, you are seated and your order is taken and you eat, your not told to leave at 11:30. We went round a couple more times about what needed to be done and that it would have taken till past 5:30 to get it done. At this point I've had enough. I stormed out of the store to my car to get my credit card to pay off my bill so I could be done with them. I came back in and tossed my card on the desk and said I want to pay this off and be done with this outfit. At this point, the large women said "she ain't no animal in a cage and she will not tolerate having things thrown at her. At that time the woman claiming to be the manager stood up and picked up the card, handed it back to me and said I needed to get out, they would send me the bill. She just kept repeating it until I finally gave up and left. I got about a mile away and was still so furious about the way things went down, that I called the corporate customer service dept, explained everything that had just happened, the woman in customer service asked what I wanted to accomplish today. I said I wanted to complain about this incident, she replied " I'll relay the message. read more

I suffered a very BAD ankle break and am non weight bearing for several months, out of state from where I reside. I have BCBS insurance which covers out of state as long as the provider is in the in network directory, which Corner Home is. I spoke with my insurance company who confirmed it was and they would approve the RX for the wheelchair. After a week of hearing NOTHING and after my surgery, I began following up. I spoke to customer service at least 5 times receiving different information each time. The first time, they told me that my insurance approved the wheelchair, but they needed additional information from my Dr. I asked if they had requested what they needed and they said no. I asked if they were going to and they said, I guess we can. That day I was actually going to the Dr for my post op, so I also told them what was being requested. My Drs. care coordinator immediately faxed the chart notes over, against her better judgment. She stated she hates Corner Home. I called Corner Home back and this time was told they hadn't received the requested info, I asked if they requested it and she said yes and named a Dr. that was not even mine. They were requesting my information from a completely different Drs. office. I then provider her with the correct information. After back and forth verifying it was faxed to Corner Home the day before, the next customer service person I spoke with said the notes were there and to call back later when it was uploaded. I called back 3 more times, and finally asked why they were requiring chart notes, when I was advised by my Dr. this is not normal and my ins. already approved it. I finally got out of customer service and to a different dept and spoke with Bree. There I found out, that my ins. had NOT approved it and came back "same or similar" and that my ins. co. stated I had a wheelchair in March of 2021, I had not. I've never had a wheelchair in my life. Bree stated she didn't know why no one in customer service told me about the same or similar. I finally told her everything that had gone on - told something different every time, not one agent told me the ins. stated same or similar, they told me several times it was approved. Bree basically told me that we should just be done if there was so many problems and I should move on. I told her I just want to correct it and move forward. That I was a little concerned about my medical info being in their hands with the many mistakes/misinformation and that customer service/Corner Home is so careless with patients and their info. In the end, we came up with a plan. I called my ins co, spoke to every department there, not one person at BCBS ever saw an inquiry about a wheelchair, I looked at my account, not one claim went in and I saw every claim - submitted, pending, approved or rejected. I saw everything from when my injury first happened to surgery to my post op. I even spoke with BCBS verify coverage line, they stated nothing had been submitted regarding a wheelchair or from Corner Home. I called Bree back and informed her, offered to provide the number and names of who I spoke with, offered to do a conference call with my insurance company, verified that Corner Home was indeed an approved out of state vendor, Bree declined the information, stated it was escalated and they would take care of it, that she doesn't actually take care of it, billing does. This morning she called me back and told me my insurance denied it, told me Corner Home felt they wouldn't be paid because it was out of state insurance. I basically laughed, stated I figured she would tell me something like that based off of all the incorrect information they had been telling me, the wrong Dr., not actually submitted the claim to my insurance company. BTW I confirmed with my ins. co. they NEVER denied it. Now 2 weeks post op (basically immobile) I am now starting over. Luckily, my care coordinator and insurance company are amazing and I'm already farther along with another supplier in 2 hours v. over a week with Corner Home. Do your research, listen to your gut, listen to people in your Drs. office. Save yourself the headache, frustration and annoyance. UPDATE: Just received a call from the new supplier, surprise surprise, insurance approved and wheelchair will be delivered tomorrow. In a matter of less than 5 hours, the new supplier got it done. read more

I went to Corner Home Medical with my prescription and insurance cards 2 weeks before my surgery. I was told to come back the day before surgery to pick up knee scooter. I was told at that time I needed to pay for it. I asked them what happened to insurance covering it and they admitted it was not checked into. I now have to cancel my surgery. Dishonest about insurance coverage. Product is of poor quality. Service poor quality. Bad experience all around.

Very poor customer service when a problem arose with an ill fitting knee brace. The elastic failed after 3 uses and it seemed to be a manufacturing defect. Initial customer service person relayed the statement that "you can't return that because it is used and made of cloth." End of story. When I asked if they would contact the manufacturer to ask for a replacement, the answer was "No, we don't do that." Finally after 15 minutes of negative interaction and manager Ben arriving he reluctantly agreed to check with the manufacturer to see if anything could be done. At this point they had lost my confidence so I just left with my brace, told them I was very disappointed with their service and would call the company myself. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that only Corner Medical could return the product to them and I was directed to go back to the store. I am not going back there and would not recommend that anyone else does either. Unbelievable that knowing their customer base is mostly sick, elderly or in pain, they would be so rude and unhelpful. HOWEVER after noticing that months ago they SCREWED UP my repeatable order, and began sending me the WRONG CPAP humidifier Tank. After I caught it, I Immediately called them and asked them to FIX THEIR MISTAKE. I also asked that they exchange the tank for the PROPER one, and they refused, they said I had only 30 days to contact them. IT WAS THEIR FAULT, SINCE WHEN AREN'T THEY RESPONSIBLE TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES. NANCY their supervisor never has called me back ! I have called them repeatedly, they have never called me back to make this right. Well hello everyone This is my second and last review of this company. If you have months to wait for equipment and you have a lot of patience then this is a ok company but if you really need stuff go somewhere else because you will hear a ton of excuses and sorry for the mix up . I have been told for months now that a order had been put in on a certain medical device and would be ready by March and now here we are at the end of April and again told by multiple staff that the order was in and even told products ready for pickup at Bloomington location and go there and again staff knows nothing and don't show any order. Which I find super funny especially after speaking to at least 8 different customer service reps. Then I ask to hear from upper management and again hear excuse after excuse about what I'm looking for saying it's a upgraded item that I requested. Wrong I was just looking for what the doctor prescribed so that tells me that this company scams people by putting in upper grades and not say anything and that makes since why I receive a bill for upgrades that no one said a word about. I explicitly stated at the time of DME rental that I would be using my insurance, but I was told that I couldn't use insurance on a Saturday, because coverage could not be verified. I voluntarily paid out of pocket with the understanding that a claim would be submitted to my health plan once the store could verify coverage. I subsequently called in to the store to verify my insuance company was billed for the claim, and I was assured it was. My insurance company was not billed and when I called to ask why I didn't see a claim from Homelink, I was told I cannot use insurance because I signed a "Waiver" of my insurance benefits with my commercial health plan. I signed no such document and it's ridiculous to think I would pay more than the full amount insurance would have been billed and four times more than my coinsurace for the item rental and then waive my benefits under my own health plan .......just because. Breanna, the billing rep, I spoke with did not even blink when I told her I did not sign a waiver and that if one is on file, it's either forged, or not a waiver. She said well, "I have one that's all that matters" and said the reps in the store don't know how billing works, so it's okay that they told me insurance was billed. This experience cost me less than $100, but I am very concerned about this company taking advantage of vulnerable people. I can't imagine why they would even use a "Waiver," if not to intimidate people into thinking they can't use insurance for durable medical equipment. Shame on Corner Medical! read more

I have been using a CPAP since 2006. My equipment and supplies are through Corner Home Medical. I like the ease of phone ordering and delivery. My complaint is with the quality of the recent order for Res62910 mask nasal pillows for her. It is a product used to replace my previous mask. Why is it so poorly designed? There are no adjustment pieces on it. It fits poorly The split fabric over the head does not stay split, slides together and so slides down back of head. Nose pieces are terrible, no flexibility No air vent in front. As a result of seven days use, I had a very sore nose and poor quality sleep. Terrible equipment! I scrubbed up my previous mask and replaced the nose pieces, and back to using previous mask. In talking to a rep there, he said I could get previous mask for $25 charge in addition to what insurance pays This is not acceptable. read more

My husband lost an attachment for his CPAP mask. We were afraid we'd have to buy a whole new mask for $130-180, but they had a CPAP specialist there, and he had the spare part and gave it to us for free! He thought it was no big deal, but to us it was. We'll definitely bring future business to them. read more
