This is a smaller store and I didn't find much that interested me but I found a vest for $9 so that made it worth it to stop in. The staff was friendly to me. I didn't get anything from the dessert bar but it's cool they have it. read more

Interesting antiques at good prices. Needs some dusting. They have a soda fountain which is neat, but seemed to have slow service. A guy that appears to be the owner is a little grouchy, but the other staff were very friendly. read more

As soon as I walked through the door, I was looked up and down and then immediately turned away and said nothing and literally the next person to walk through the door was greeted with a Hello! Came here with my kids during first Friday. We don't normally go to antique shops, but this place was amazing to browse around like a musuem lol. I was blown away to see these old equipment and items. I didn't think the prices were unreasonable either. Unfortunately, we ended up not buying anything, but I still recommend anyone to swing by to give it a look. They also sell shakes and ice cream as well. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Terrible would be a good one word description. My mom, grandma and I were exploring the area and thought the place would be interesting. We were dead wrong. We ordered two coffees and the process took forever. First, it took nearly 20 minutes to even get my order in (no one was in front of us to order). Then it took another 15 minutes to get one coffee out that had wayyyy too much flavor syrup in it and burnt coffee. But we were still waiting on our other coffee. The barista worked on random orders and didn't even start my mom's coffee until another 5 minutes later. Then she left the espresso to just sit there while she did more orders that in came in after us. We ultimately walked out after wasting probably almost an hour waiting for 2 coffees. There's also little to no AC and the antiques were quite overpriced by what I could see. Just not worth it at all and I regret choosing to go inside. read more

I went into Soda Shop Malts Shakes/ Corner of Time Antiques & Collectibles Mall and received the same treatment I always do. I always gave this place the benefit of the doubt, but as someone born and raised in Bryan, every time I've come into this shop I have been treated HORRIBLY. Every employee I have encounter at this place has been extremely rude, unwelcoming, and racist. No one acknowledged me as I was waiting to order. Two employees were at the counter talking to white customers while I stood there for a good 10 minutes waiting to have my order taken. I will NEVER be going back to this place and would advise any person of color to NOT visit this store/restaurant. I come here occasionally when friends are craving milkshakes. This is a small antique shop in the heart of downtown Bryan that serves old-fashioned milkshakes and floats! They're yummy and about $3-4. The milkshake barista is really friendly, but it does take a while to get your shake churned up. There are all kinds of eclectic finds in the antique section, but I don't really know anything about antiques. Lots of deer heads on the walls, too, some of which are apparently not for sale. The thing that turned me off was the fact that the cashier (different lady than the barista) gave me some attitude about stamping their rewards card. I had bought 3 drinks (for me and my two friends), and she stamped my card once, then asked my friend if she had a card to stamp. My friend said just to add her stamp to my card since I paid for all the drinks, but the lady refused somewhat rudely. It wasn't big, just quite off-putting. read more

This is a small antique shop in downtown Bryan that held some immediate interest for me recently. I was leaving a nearby restaurant, I saw the words "malts", "shakes" & "floats". I was inexorably drawn inside, where a small gaggle of high school girls, and a twenty-something couple waited for their shakes. It took about 7 minutes for the counter-person to get to me, since they had a single, old malt blender, allowing me time to look around. They have two reproduction or updated soda fountains, and a real turn of the century cash register. Hmm, they offer Community Coffee for mocha. They have a small display with 8 flavors of Blue Bell ice cream, which they use in their shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, and cones. As tasty as the shake was, I wouldn't drive downtown just for that, but I will definitely hit this little place for some chocolate-vanilla goodness when I'm nearby. read more

This place is a dump heap. Booths are cluttered and disorganized, and not much variety of items to look at. Owner guy seems to give you the stare down as you browse through, which made me uncomfortable. Also when I asked him if there was a certain item in the mall, he dismissed me and just walked off. Not impressed. Also soda fountain employee was chewed out in front of me, which is very unprofessional. Why not take them to the office for that kind of reprimanding, or just avoid chewing them out in the first place? Won't be spending my hard-earned money in this establishment. read more

The women working the checkout counter and the girl working the soda fountain were both very hospitable and we chatted easily over a Dublin Dr. Pepper float. My grandmother found a Southern Living cookbook from the year I was born ('88) and decided to give it to me as a belated bday present. Buyer beware!! I went into this shop and purchased some items just spending a mere $160.00. When I got home the antique scale that I purchased did not work. I then proceeded to tell the shop and spoke to the gentleman that runs/owns the business (I don't know as he could not be bothered to introduce himself) who said he would get back to me once he spoke to the vendor. Well, of course that never happened. I then decided after 4 days went by that I would call and follow up and again I got the same guy. He then proceeded to tell me that the vendor said she would not exchange the scale and told me to refer to my receipt that stated no returns no refunds which I never got that on my receipt. I then proceeded to tell him my dissatisfaction but he was not interested. So now I am left with something that does not work, that I paid over market price for which I was happy to do so if it worked. I believe in shopping local always - but trust me stay away from this shop. Dont waste your money or time here. Shop elsewhere!!!! They are very rude! Really liked the eclectic range of goods, and ended up purchasing a cookery book which woul have been a good buy anyway but was on a 50% off day. We then had a wonderful icecream Soda. Service was so friendly that we ended up staying far longer than we had intended. We will visit again the next time we area in Bryan. read more
