Amazing produce and nursery! The entire experience was a well organized pleasure. I was asked if I needed any help finding anything as I was taking in the overall layout. The visit ended with a small purchase for lunch. The cashier searched for a spork when I asked if she had a utensil to help me eat my lunch. I wish the Farm Patch were closer to my home. Discovered this farmers market to buy produce from. I love coming here! Everyone is super sweet and very personable. The older gentleman (might be owner?) is always there and I always here him saying hi to people he passes or having conversations. My boys and I absolutely love this place! My mom brought us here the first week we had moved to town, and it is awesome! Our most exciting find were super big dragon fruit, which my younger son was thrilled to try! We explore food and cooking a lot, and the Farm stand is our go-to place. It is clean, organized, and the staff is very helpful. If you have kiddos, try going on a week day afternoon instead of the weekends, especially Sunday afternoons because they can get busy and it's hard to keep distance between other customers. We love it though and hope it is around for years to come. read more

I usually love this place. Very nice to have a local outlet to buy my produce and other things. But the woman working in the plant section wasn't even pretending to wear a mask. Lots of other employees half wearing their masks. You would think based on their other reviews and the fact they are a local company that they would be more concerned about their employees and customers. But they are not. I thought since this was an outdoor environment that I'd be comfortable shopping here, but I'm not. I don't understand why they aren't ensuring that their employees wear their masks. I've been going to Farm patch for years now, and they've always had fresh vegetables and helpful staff members. When I have visited recently, every staff member was wearing a mask correctly and they seemed to be taking the virus seriously. I had never heard of this place or if someone had said something, I wasn't paying attention. I saw this place after coming out of Fred and Fred's Seafood Market and decided to have a browse. What amazing find of produce, spices and different food items, even live crawfish. The selection was amazing from Japanese yams to purple potatoes to fresh dewberries. Other than the dewberries that grow wild on my ranch, I can't recall ever seeing them for sale in a produce market. All items were fresh whether they were local or shipped in from further places. Prices were reasonable and staff helpful. I asked if they ever get fresh soy beans for making edamame but they don't nor do they carry Shishito peppers, both are two of my favourite Japanese appetizers. There are a lot of prepared products from local to overseas. A great place to explore international culinaria options. My son, who is living in Washington DC, would have killed to get at the bottles of Big Red for barbacoa mornings. It will be another place to return and see what else is brought in. Update: I paid a second boost here since last week. Some of the vegetables that were available last Saturday were not there today such as the Japanese yams and blue potatoes. Lesson learned, grab them when you see them as they might not be around on your next visit. Still good! read more

I love The Farm Patch and shop there twice a week. It's always fresh and in season as if it came from your garden. Also there are plenty of imports and items you won't find in the grocery stores. All kinds of lovely plants and herbs come from there plus trees and shrubs. When I was there last weekend, there were building their pumpkin house. We love that! The folks there are nice. I discovered Farm Patch Market this past weekend while visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Bryan. I grew up on a farm and I know what it takes to make good produce. Farm Patch is top-of-the-line in my view. I didn't scrutinize every item but what I did find was quality produce, plants and flowers often difficult to find. Locals should be so grateful to have a place that offers such quality fresh market items, and at very reasonable prices. Mark and your family - you're doing a great job - keep up the good work and don't let the nay-sayers get to you. I was kind of disappointed. Their produce looked good but the prices aren't any better than H-E-B or Kroger. My hubs likes the jellies and jams they sell (made locally just for Farm Patch) and we decided to try one of the bbq sauces - fingers crossed it's as good as the jams! We bought some produce we needed but the next day when I went to cut it all up, the cucumber was total mush! Half of the purple potatoes were also unusable. It's not like we kept everything in a hot car for three days. The cucumber was in our refrigerator overnight and the potatoes were kept in the pantry overnight. Customer service was eh. A woman cut in front of me to get in line and when I tried to say something, the cashier didn't even care. People are just so selfish and rude! read more

I am so happy I stumbled upon the gem that is the farm patch! 8/10 produce is cheaper than H-E-B and Walmart produce. Quality is also superb, ears of corn never disappoint. They also have really great sauces, the peach bbq sauce is so good! I just purchased the raspberry chipotle sauce and I'm super pumped to try it. They also have made in store potato salad and a pasta salad in the refrigerated section, I've enjoyed both items. They have other specialities i have not tried yet but will be back soon to explore. The strawberry preserves are absolutely scrumptious, 10/10. Customer service is also wonderful, the workers are always very helpful and kind. read more

I have been to Farm Patch several times now and I generally love the place. The items I have tried and loved are: 1. Coffee: I love that you can buy whole bean roasted coffee and grind it to your liking. I got some Jamaican (forgot the full name) coffee and had it finely ground to make turkish coffee which my husband enjoyed quite a bit. 2. Feta cheese: it comes in bulk and it is reasonably priced for the amount you get. 2 lbs for $12.99--compared to 6 oz for $5 generally at other stores. 3. Pickled artichoke hearts--get a lot for the price so it is worth it if you like these! 4. Dried fruit: they have a variety, with and without sugar. I have also tried cherries when they were in season and was not disappointed. However, some of their fruit that I have seen on occasions, such as peaches, has not been the freshest. read more

They have excellent local food and prices you really can't beat anywhere else for the price. The crops are always fresh and ripe. They also have an awesome assortment you can't find in either H-E-B or the local Mexican markets. If they were closer, it'd be my number one shop for produce. I was rather disappointed. It seemed to me like less than half of their produce was actually locally grown. The only strawberries they had were the same brand you can get at H-E-B. I asked about peaches and it turns out those are from California. The staff was friendly, but that and the atmosphere are the only appeals to me of this place. I don't see the point of having a farmer's market if only some of the produce is local and a huge chunk of it isn't. It's just buying produce I could get at the grocery store at a marked-up price. read more

The Farm Patch is a superb place to get fresh produce. The prices are lower than at a supermarket, and the quality is higher. In addition to produce, they have a large selection of olive oils, dried/snack fruits, locally roasted coffee, spices, and beans. Many of these are available for purchase in bulk at considerable savings. Finally, you can find many ingredients here that are considered "exotic" by American standards but are staples in other parts of the world - such as red lentils, bulgur wheat, and Asian cabbage. The owners and staff are very friendly. Normally I would expect to pay more than average for such a wide selection of and high quality produce, but Farm Patch manages to stay affordable. I don't see how they do it but I am happy to support them with a large portion of my grocery budget each week. $5 minimum on credit cards. read more

This place has the best produce in the BCS area! Yes, that does include all the random fruits and vegetables that you just cannot find at HEB, Walmart, or Village Foods. I found the most amazing methi here for under a buck. They've also got purple potatoes galore, the freshest berries imaginable, and any other great fines. Although the one item they had that just stole my heart - rosemary christmas trees. They were just the cutest little things. While I can go on days about the produce, the only downside is their lack of accessibility. It is so hard to get your car into their parking lot and also maneuver it out back onto College Ave. I could barely do it when I was the only one driving. I simply cannot imagine playing bumper cars during a crowded day. All in all, great produce and I will come back soon! read more

I love going to this place. Just being there somehow makes me feel healthier! Although I do buy produce and it is always of higher quality than anything I can buy at a grocery store, my main reason for shopping here is for the plants and soil amendments. I grow many herbs, for cooking and ornamental value in the landscape. When I'm looking for potted herbs, this is the place I look first. They have a fantastic selection at a price that just can't be beat! I've found many species and varieties of herbs that I've only seen before at overpriced nurseries specializing in plants. They also have an incredible selection of flowers and other plants at great prices. The prices for some things are a bit higher than at Lowe's or other garden centers. The difference in the quality and selection make it well worth paying a little more. I purchased Tyler roses here this past spring at absurdly low prices! They were all bare-rooted, which I don't usually buy, but the canes were of great quality with well developed roots.They are all doing very well this spring. I used to buy compost at larger retail chains because it was good stuff and at good prices. These days, I find that they are mostly filled with sand, sand, sand, sand......gravel and mulch, maybe 15% composted manure. As an organic gardener, I was thrilled to find fantastic composted cow manure at The Farm Patch!!!! They were happy to let me open the bag to inspect the quality before buying it. Needless to say, I bought as much as I could fit in my car. I am also astonished at the incredible price! 5 bags for $10.00!!! I've been back several times for the manure and plan on another trip today. There are only 2 things that could be better. The parking is quite limited, even with the lot across the drive. At times I have had to back out of the parking lot into traffic on S. College. This can be a bit unnerving at times. The other thing is that the market is so crowded. The aisles are very narrow. Even one shopping cart can cause a 'traffic' jam in the middle of the store. I kind of wish they would ditch the carts and make everyone use the hand carried baskets. I know that wouldn't be practical though! The only way these 2 things could be remedied would be for them to buy the apartment complex behind the market, or move to a new location. Buying the apartment complex would be terribly expensive. If they were to move, the ambiance of the place would probably be lost. For me, the ambiance of the place is one of my reasons for shopping here. Crowding obviously doesn't keep me from going there. I just try to go when it's not busy. Despite these 2 small inconveniences, The Farm Patch very much deserves 5 stars. read more

My sister lives in college station so I go there all the time. Farm patch is one of her staple places so I have ended up going there a lot. It is a great place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a pumpkin patch for Halloween with a maze and cut outs for the kids. They have a section where baskets of fruits and vegetables that are going to go bad in a few days are $1 per basket. It's a great deal. You come see what's on sale and plan your menu accordingly. They also sell international foods. A must go if you wanna get good produce at a great price. read more

I love shopping at the Farm Patch! I am always shocked at how cheap my total is- especially when I am leaving with two big paper bags full of produce. I find the selection better than HEB for sure. The Krogers on Rock Prairie probably has the best produce section for grocery stores here in the BCS; however, the Farm Patch ranks number one for me.
