I haven't written a review trying to give myself time to cool down. It's been 7 months and I'm still fuming. Took our rabbit in, as he was one of the only vets in our area who sees rabbits. His teeth had grown too far and needed to be trimmed, I wasn't sure why they suddenly grew like that and this had stopped him from eating, his eye also was weeping a bit and I had tried several ointments from a different vet who then sent me here. To start: this man didn't even introduce himself, I didn't know him from Adam. He immediately lit into me because our rabbit (my sweet daughter was with me as this is her pet) was "under weight and very malnurished." Of course he'd need braces (oh wait he's not a human) so surgery is needed, would cost wayyy too much so we might as well put him down. WTH! My daughter was in tears. This idiot, if a "vet", is a jackass and shouldn't be in this profession at all. I was floored as he said our rabbit must have had blunt force trama to misalign his teeth and it really wasn't worth pulling his teeth and chopping his food all up....like WHAT? I just wanted his teeth trimmed! He wouldn't even consider that because "you'd have to come back every 3 months" well I think that should be up to ME to decide if I want to do that. He proceeded to give me another ointment for his eye (guess he didn't care to charge me for that even though he thought this rabbit needed to be killed) and charged me $90 for the drops and his time. We went home to debate on when to put our sweet bunny down (this rabbit is an indoor bunny who roams freely in the house. We were devastated.) my family talked me into getting a second opinion, I drove all the way to Fair Grove Vet and am SO happy I did! This vet was friendly and helpful, owned a rabbit like ours too. I didn't say what this vet told me so I could get an idea on what this new vet thought. He said that this can happen with bunnies teeth and you just have to trim them down since he can't do it now. He said his eye was weeping due to a blockage. Nothing big. He said his weight was fine, not malnourished at all! My daughter and I wept when we got in the car. This was all back in January this year. Visits were 10 days apart, I had to go back once more to get his teeth trimmed, the vet told me next time I came in he'd teach me how to do it so I could avoid the hour and 15 minute drive every month. I never had to go back! Our rabbit has been able to keep his teeth trimmed himself, not sure what happened but I can't BELIEVE this vet told us he needed to be put down! Save your money, your time, and your emotions. PICK SOMEONE ELSE! Or better yet, drive to Fair Grove vet, it's worth it. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

We took our bearded dragon here this morning for an emergency visit. They were so nice, worked us in and the vet was top notch. Super smart guy and the staff was very caring. They gave her shots and saved her life. So grateful for their help!! I see there are some really bad reviews here. If you do not want to be robbed of your money AND gaslit into thinking you are in the wrong & that you are the bad pet owner, please please PLEASE stay away from this place. 1) They continue to threaten to post chart results online when that is very against HIPPA & doing so would result on a VERY heafty fine. (Trust me, I looked up the laws.) 2) They assumed I stood by and did nothing when I noticed my cat was getting thinner. On the contrary, I tried everything under the sun before I finally took her in. 3) They have continued to gaslight me into thinking I did not pay what I did for my visit when I have proof on my bank statement (it will be pictured below) 4) Their prices they charge are just uncalled for. I went to a secondary vet & they were just baffled by the prices they wanted to charge for the extra tests. 5) They lied about the blood results they gave me. The secondary vet took one look and was VERY confused as to how these people saw that as normal. 6) The way I have been treated online is very unprofessional. In conclusion, if those harassment continues, I will be calling the state board & filing a complaint. read more

I should have read the reviews first and the nasty replies to them and I would have never taken my babies here. I took my two large dogs in for rabies and heartworm tests. One was a patient already and had seen Dr. Loden before with her previous owner who had a positive experience because she did whatever Dr. Loden recommended. Typically I don't take my pets to the vet very often unless there's something wrong so my other, young, perfectly healthy dog, has never had regular visits. This 70+ year old man walked into the room, asked me who I'd been going to before and when I said no one, he replied, "So with all the diseases out there, you decided to just take the risk?" I did not want to get into it with a doctor who clearly has zero respect for his patients, (we had a positive experience up to that moment with the vet techs) so I just said, "Yep" as I calmed myself and my 125 lb dog who was starting to get agitated as she picked up on it immediately that the person sticking a needle in her butt was not someone I liked or trusted anymore. He continued giving me a hard time so I told him I do a lot of research myself and make the best decisions I can to which he said, get this, "When we were growing up, dogs had a life expectancy of 8 years, but now with medical advances we've been able to extend that to 10-15 years." First of all, I'm 31 years old. When he was growing up, my PARENTS were not even born yet! Secondly, that's a very common myth about dogs and life expectancy. Both animals and humans are living slightly longer today (although quality of life is up for debate) and when it comes to dogs, genetic selection plays a big part in the equation. We are also seeing more dogs dying or experiencing more illness because of being over-medicated and over-vaccinated and living on junk dog food that is the equivalent of feeding a human nothing but fast food their entire life. An experienced vet should know better than to repeat faulty information, especially in a clear attempt to frighten a patient. They also told me it would be $16 and $22 each for the rabies and heartworm tests when I asked on the phone but they charged me $21 and $33.50 with a side of "DECLINED DHP-PV" and "DECLINED Proheart Injectable" in all caps. I took my three-year-old Siamese cat here for a check up because he was acting weird lately. The vet there walked in the room and immediately had an attitude with all of us demanding that he be hospitalized because he was going to die and she said " He's most likely not gonna make it through the weekend" she tried to gaslight me into paying almost $1200 to get him hospitalized for no reason I ended up getting a second opinion before I decided anything from another vet and they did blood tests on him at another vet and said everything was fine and he was completely in the clear. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give a lower rating I would . Do not waste your money, your time, and your pets time. They are extremely rude it's honestly like they don't care about anything this is your warning. read more

Amazing and caring staff here. We were driving across the country (moving from west coast to east) when my golden went into respiratory distress and they got her in and treated her right away. Everyone was understanding, kind, knowledgeable about her condition, treated her quickly, and I'm pretty sure saved her life. Thank you isn't enough! read more

I made an appointment to have my elderly fur baby euthanized. The appointment was made at 9.00 a.m for 4.00pm I brought her in and was placed in a room for 27 minutes. At that time I was charged $175 for "emergency ". The vet then came in and administered the "shot" my little precious girl screamed kicked and bit me. Waiting another 7 minutes. She decided she needed sedated. Shot given. Anther 9 minutes she came back with a 3rd shot. She then laid there another 5minutes twisting and in pain. Then she finally died... I'm not here to bash Conner stone.. but my wonderful dog 16 yrs old died in pain.. 18 minutes 18 fucking minutes!!! I am inconsolable.. my first dog to be euthanized took 2 minutes. Money, money, money! That's what this clinic wants. Buy your prescriptions online- they are cheaper. We brought our dog in for services twice in a row and the vet made excuses as to why they couldn't quickly trim our dog's toenails - despite spending hundreds of dollars there. First it was "she's too anxious today" then it was "I don't have the staff to do it." Blah, blah, blah. One of the vets is rather condescending and speaks to you as if you are a third grader. Although, I must say at least they conduct exams unlike another animal clinic in Joplin. read more

This hospital was great in treating my hedgehog that injured his eye. The vet was nice and patient. The only downside was it took longer to schedule the surgery than I would have liked. But the vet who is trained to treat hedgehogs was already doing another surgery so it is understandable. It's hard to find good care for exotics so I'd definitely recommend this place for exotic pets. read more

This guy is a jerk. And all he cares about is how to get more money out of customers. Took my dog to get a simple spay and a few shots. He claims that her heart stopped and so he wanted to keep her for monitoring and just keep adding to the bill. He kept calling her a HE/HIM/IT. I expected to pay around $300 but then he said it was almost $500 and my dog still might die unless we left her there for them to continue for at least another day. Said it was an ongoing thing. Said he didn't think she'd make it across town. So we had no choice. We didn't have more money to get our dog that might die anyway and we definitely couldn't afford to give them more for keeping her longer. So we lost our pet. I have 4 kids to break the news to. Not a good place at all. They only care about making that extra cash. I'm sure we will see them in court soon. Don't ever go there if you don't plan on spending at least 3 times as much as you think. Go to a place you know and trust. I learned the hard way from this experience. Not happy at all. read more

I cannot express what a horrific experience my friend had with this vet, Donnie. Their care, or lack thereof, was heartless and uncaring and awful. The pup was dead within hours of picking him up after 24 hours with this money hungry establishment. Our hearts are broken and I can only hope that the appropriate karma hits Donnie and his staff who contributed to Mack's untimely death. read more

Do not take your animal here! We adopted a cat and my daughter caught ringworm. I took the cat to the vet immediately. They "looked her over" brushed her skin with a toothbrush to get a culture. The culture came back negative, by this time the entire family contacted ringworm. I took some gloves and examined the cat myself and found some spots. I called Cornerstone back and ask if they would look at the spot. They said sure, but would charge me another dr. exam fee. I had already paid $150 just 6 days earlier. I took our cat to Main Street Pet Clinic and they used a black light and immediately the spots showed up. They gave me oral medication and only charged me $69 for the exam and med....they said to come back in 3 weeks for a checkup at no charge. I will never go back to this place...I think they try to scam people by making you come back for checkups and charging you outrageous prices. read more
