However, when we came to Harvest, all of that changed. The focus is on kids learning, in a positive Christian environment, and not on homework testing and peer pressure. My kids have really excelled in academics and THEY ARE SO HAPPY each day they go to school and when they come home. With the added benefit of dual enrollment classes, most kids finish with college credits when the graduate. While the small Christian environment will not be for everyone, it has certainly served my kids well.

The school itself is spacious and pretty. Even though you know it is a school, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. The Teachers are great and I haven't met a parent, whose children attend, that doesn't gush and throw accolades their way! If you are looking for a great place to raise your elementary aged children, I would definitely look into the Alimicani neighborhoods.

I had checked out multiple schools when a change was necessary but hadn't found quite the right fit. When visiting Sea Coast for the first time what struck me most was how calm and quiet it was. The teachers are experienced and go above and beyond for the kids. In 3 years and 7 teachers in I've never had an issue with consistent communication with any teacher. The curriculum combines common core but also more old school methods which I think are important for children to know. The curriculum also includes cursive handwriting and lots of electives such as Spanish, music, character, and computer. Most classrooms are small- 17 kids or less. As each class moves to the next grade the children in the class stays the same so they build solid friendships and feel comfortable year after year. Sea Coast feels very much like a private school in the form of a charter. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Sea Coast Charter.

So then I'm like ok wow she didn't even ask what was wrong with me mainly the whole time I was down there she was being nasty to me. Not all teachers are bad some teachers treat certain students a certain way and it's very annoying. When it comes down to putting in grades some are very slow doing it. If the work is late that is a different story but I had a really good support team there after I lost a family member and they helped me get through the last few weeks of the school.
