This church changed my life ! I went to so many churches around Nashville, I couldn't find one that spoke to my soul until I came here. I've been going here for almost a year now. Pastor Jeremy is amazing . He makes service fun and is very relatable. All the pastors here are angels. I've been prayed over and held by them along with other volunteers through a dark time and healed in so many ways spiritually. I was also baptized here after a long 2 year journey back to God. The attendees are very welcoming and service is filled with the Holy Spirit. I can see it and feel it, every service. They accept you as you are with open arms. I attended intermittently on Wednesdays and Sundays for a few months after moving to the area. Teaching was solid. Music was contemporary. The church offered many different kinds of small group opportunities. Parking lot volunteers were helpful in making sure you receive assistance, if necessary or desired. I was let down by a post-service encounter. One of the prayer partners (older woman with a Karen haircut) gave me a withering up-and-down look of disdain in the restroom during one of my Sunday morning visits. I was wearing a knee-length Boden dress, not tight jeans with a muffin top. That incident alone did not dissuade me, but it didn't help. read more

Pastor Jeff Nyberg and his wife, Angela make you feel like part of the "family" from the first time you visit. I attended this church for two years before moving from Nashville. They have many great ministries and outreach programs. The pastors are all very accessible and very friendly. There is great diversity there and the Word of God was very much alive and well. Their contemporary service always had uplifting music and prayer. Cornerstone does a fantastic job of engaging with the people of Nashville as well as those within their congregation. read more

While traveling across country we spent a few days in Nashville with some friends. They are regular attenders at this location. We were extremely happy with our experience. Once we pulled into the parking lot there was a sign that told us to flash our headlights if it was a first time. We were directed into a first time visitor lot where a church volunteer welcomed Us and brought us the front door. Once there we were welcome again and escorted and shown the facilities. The worship service was contemporary and intimate. The preaching was relevant and Biblical based. We were welcomed by not only the volunteers but by he people of he church...they know how to love like Christ loves...check this church out!!! read more

I'm not a religious individual, and I did not come here to pray, but I think goodness we found it. I simply stumbled upon this church on my way home from vacation with a worn out 6 year old and a worn out, tearful 3 year old who needed to have a snack and stretch their legs. We spent close to an hour hanging around their lobby allowing our children to run off a bit of steam after enjoying a snack. The church was absolutely stunning, and we felt very welcome. The bathrooms were immaculate. 10/10, thank you for such a great stop. read more

For those of you who know me you'll know me reviewing a church is somewhat comical, so I'm reviewing what they put on for the kids every year. Whether you think it's a recruiting tool for a megachurch or not, bringing Santa and rides and things that go plunk in for kids and families without cramming fire and brimstone or asking for money is very much appreciated. My little one got her first inner tube snow ride here, her first bus ride (which was way more appreciated than it should have been,) and got to meet some Frozen characters and drink copious amounts of hot sugar. Santa pics were also a hit and the music they perform does get one in the mood for rum based milk beverage. So they throw a fine free community event, the people I've met were nice even though I think the air of "he's not one of us" probably oozes off of me. That said, I know nothing about this place other than the extent that they've provided a couple of days of fun for my kiddo, and they did it well. read more

I came here with some friends for Christy Wrights Business Boutique. When I first walked in I was very surprised at the copious amount of vaulted seating there was. There are also 3 magnificent screens that really give you an amazing view of all the speakers. The acoustics and the lighting were fantastic. Overall I'm very satisfied. Cornerstone is the most incredible church... You are genuinely welcomed, from the moment you drive into the parking lot, and it doesn't stop there - you're greeted as you walk first through the front doors, then the doors to the sanctuary, and pretty much throughout the entire service. This church is AMAZING!!! I'm in the youth, so on Wednesday nights, we have our own sanctuary where we have SO much fun and learn about God. On Saturday nights, youth go into the main sanctuary and listen to Pastor Maury Davis. He is one of the best pastors! Pastor Davis isn't your normal pastor, he doesn't sugar coat serious things. If he has a problem he's quick to address it, in front of everyone. The praise and worship is also AMAZING! Then after service, most people go to their Christian Education Classes. These are classes where we can learn more about God, but also meet new friends. This happens on Sunday morning too before service. On a mission to finding the right church for me, I came across Cornerstone. I've now gone several times in effort to give it an honest assessment. Overall, I have enjoyed my experience. However, each time I've gone, I've been a bit put off by Maury Davis. He says things that are very passive aggressive, sometimes sexist and tries to pull them off as a joke...except they aren't funny. He's made references to wishing on a woman for her to be barefoot and pregnant, beating up a dog...just to name a few. Even though he thinks he's joking, he's not being funny. It's eye-opening and alarming. I almost get a sense he has an anger management issue and although we all have our vices, his makes me uncomfortable. Galen Davis on the other hand has delivered some really great messages. He has a special way of drawing you in and making you think by providing real life examples. He is fantastic and the main reason I kept going back. read more
