They offer various services such as direct therapy and parent training. The diagnosis of Autism may be scary for a lot of parents but receiving early intervention is the key. My nephew is now a young adult and although he still requires supervision, his behaviors have subsided drastically and he's finally able to communicate with us. I thank the clinical team at Foothill for all their support. I recently went to visit their new office in Lake Balboa and learned they have a center with various activities for children. My son was so excited to try rock climbing. I would recommend Foothill to families in need of ABA in the Lake Balboa area. As a first time mom, I wanted as much information as possible to set my baby up for developmental success. In my opinion, the most helpful class was when a pediatric physical therapist came in, and she demonstrated tummy time tricks to do with our babies. Other helpful classes included a sleep consultant discussing how to implement healthy baby sleep habits, nutritionists giving advice about how to introduce solid foods, and a registered nurse giving advice for when baby gets sick. To top it all off, the facility is gorgeous! Contemporary and modern, and safe, developmentally-appropriate toys for babies to play with! The staff checked me in, but unfortunately the nurse wasn't in to administer the test for me. There was also no expected date of when the nurse would come back. That was a bit frustrating but luckily, they suggested I could email them my TB test results when I get it done at another place. There was only 2 staff working and more people slowly started filling in the waiting room. I appreciated how calm and quick they were in getting all of the different needs met of their clients. I was able to get in and out in less than 45 minutes, but other people were out sooner than 10 minutes depending on what needs to be done. I liked the experience and am glad I picked this location! My first time at a wellnessmart and I have to give props for the variety of services this facility gives! I was very pleasantly surprised by the format and really enjoyed getting to know our group over the course of the 4 sessions. The class was informative and inclusive. Janet and Rachel's love for what they do and deep knowledge birth and labor was informative and heart warming. Janet and Rachel are very careful to underscore that each birth experience is unique, and that choices are personal. They present well rounded information and resources that helps guide you rather than tell you something is right or wrong. I especially liked the guest speakers (a midwife from Kaiser and a lactation consultant) who spoke about their practices and answered questions. I feel so fortunate to have found the Birth Co-Op. In full disclosure, in Summer 2023, we enrolled him in a water wings class for 2 months. In Summer 2024, we signed him up with a different 1 on 1 private instructor for a few months. So, my son had familiarity with swim lessons, but he had never been able to float or do much of anything on his own in the water. I mean, he is still working on blowing water bubbles becuase he hates putting his face in the water. So, to see Allyson *magically* had him doing all this with 2 lessons... I mean, I have no words to express my appreciation! She knows what she is doing! She is teaching life saving skills first!
