Mrs. Allison is great. At Safeway Swim School has been absolutely amazing for our family! When my 2-year-old daughter first started, she didn't know how to swim at all and was nervous around the water. Thanks to the patient, caring, and knowledgeable instructor, she now confidently floats on her own! Mrs. Allison make every lesson fun while still focusing on safety and proper technique. They truly know how to connect with little ones and build trust. I've watched my daughter become more comfortable, brave, and excited for each session. It's incredible to see how much progress she's made in such a short time. I'm so grateful for the skills they're teaching her--skills that could genuinely save her life. I highly recommend Safeway Swim School to any parent looking for a supportive and effective swim program for their child. We couldn't be happier with our experience!

My son came back to Miss Allyson for some stroke techniques once he'd gotten more coordinated. Once again, Miss Allyson kept it fun and approachable, but was effective at the same time. I cannot say enough good things about her program or her! Always grateful for the peace of mind and love of swimming my son now has.

We've been taking our little to Mrs. Alyson since our daughter was 8 months old. She's 2.5 now and completely water safe because of Alyson and her teachings. You go through different in water safety progressions with your child and continue with her until they're not only water safe but she teaches your kids how to swim also! We're so excited for our daughters skills! Also when you take your your young kids to a swimming pool and they're doing their thing in the water on their own it's super impressive. Our daughter fell off a step down in a pool we were at and she popped right up and started floating and kicking to safety. Another child much older in a safety jacket for swimming did the same thing and was scared/screaming in her life vest after she dropped off the step. Needless to say Mrs. Alyson is amazing and beyond worth taking care of your kids swim safety needs. ‍ Thank you so much from the Liebman family!

Australian Swim School - How cold it is outside when the front door is propped open

I'm extremely disappointed with how poorly this swim school maintains its facility…read more The front door has been broken for over a year. They can't keep the door closed while "unlocked," so it is routinely propped open. In the summer this might be tolerable, but in the winter when it's 46f outside the cold air pours directly inside while children are in the pool or getting in and out of the pool wet. I'm sitting there fully dressed, in a jacket, completely dr and I'm cold. I can't imagine how cold the kids are getting out of the pool. This has been going on far too long and is unacceptable from a health and safety standpoint. Maybe there is an agency that oversees this and they can be reported to. What's worse is that staff and coaches are not allowed to complain about these conditions because they'll be reprimanded. That puts parents in the position of watching obvious problems go unaddressed while management does nothing. The lack of concern for the kids wellbeing is frustrating. This isn't an isolated issue. The water fountain is leaking onto the concrete, just wasting water. The bathroom heaters broken for over three years, they now make noise but still don't generate any heat. Recurring pool heating issues The electrical closet constantly emits alarms and whistling noises Yet somehow money was found for a new iPad for checkin while basic infrastructure and safety issues are ignored. The coaches are great, and the kids love the lessons but the facility neglect overshadows everything. Until management prioritizes maintenance and the comfort and safety of children, I cannot recommend this swim school.

We've had numerous canceled classes due to the heaters not working, or some other miscellaneous fix that's needed. With that being said, the reason we still take our toddler to this school is because of the staff. We've had incredible instructors like Ms. Bella and our current instructor, Mr. Dylan. They have made us feel so comfortable with her our child in the water. Her improvement and comfortability in the water is a testament to their tutelage. And we believe this level of excellence is cultivated from the top. We've had the good fortune of working directly with Flavio (Manager) for the vast majority of our time at the school. He's the best front facing representative any business could ask for. He's so intentional about making sure families feel seen and heard, and that the kids are always made to feel special. His warmth and general demeanor sets the high standard that permeates throughout the school. His leadership and willingness to meet each family where they are has kept us here and we look forward to seeing our little one continue to thrive under his and his team's guidance. Obviously, we hope there are some investments made into the facility, but in the meantime, we are happy to have found Australian Swim School and would encourage any new parent to trust them with their child.

When we switched from Group to Private lessons, our son improved leaps and bounds every single week. She is fun and smart and helpful, and she should be the benchmark that ALL teachers strive for. Cons: * The Group lessons don't really teach much beyond water comfortability. Instead of helping each child improve individually, the teachers just go through the motions in a systematic pattern each class. * The school shows little to no interest in caring about a child advancing; the school only seems to care that our check clears. We spent 1.5 years at the same Group level without ever advancing because the teachers weren't encouraged to push our child. See the note above re: going Private with Coach Ella. * The front desk staff is horribly unhelpful and very poorly trained. We've experienced multiple issues with bookings, billing, and scheduling when interacting with them. There should also be a "no cell phone" policy because half the time we need to speak with someone, the front desk staff members are texting / using their cell phones. * The showers and changing rooms are dirty and gross by the time we need to use them at 5:45 pm. Maybe instead of allowing 2-3 front desk staff to play on their cell phones all shift, there should be a rotation of light cleaning every 30/60 minutes. A little bit of care would go a long ways.
