What was promised to us as a simple 5-7 day project spiraled into nearly a month of excuses, lateness, and incompetence -- and now, almost 3 months later, we are left with a kitchen countertop that is completely unusable, unfinished projects we had to finish, as well as additional damage to our home. From day one, the red flags were obvious. On the very first scheduled day (April 28, 2025), she never showed up -- first claiming she had "hours of work to do before I can arrive," later blaming "delivery issues," and ultimately not coming at all. This began a constant pattern of daily lateness, no-shows, and excuses that continued throughout her time here. The results have been a nightmare: She told us the epoxy would cure in one month. It has now been nearly 3 months and it has never cured. Many areas of surface remains gummy, tacky, and soft. -- Even placing a simple plate on the counter leaves deep dents and marks. The stark white finish she guaranteed would stay bright is already turning yellow in multiple spots. She failed to properly seal the faucet holes before pouring, which caused epoxy to leak down into our cabinets and destroy our under-sink water filtration system -- the filters had to be replaced completely. Our kitchen has been left in a worse state than before she began. On top of this, and most importantly, we learned that she does not have a contractor license, even though California law requires one for any work over $500. She led us to believe she was legally able and skilled to do this job, which was false. Adding insult to injury, the photos and examples she showed us on Instagram, Yelp, and by email as her "portfolio" were almost entirely not her work. The proof of this can be easily found by reverse image searching the photos she markets to be hers (the majority trace back to several other sources). -- We were misled into thinking we were hiring someone experienced and capable, but what we actually got was dishonesty, misrepresentation, and complete lack of professionalism. Bottom line: Do not trust Jamie Sue Walker / Mimic Stone Countertops!! *She is not licensed to legally do this work. *She misrepresents her portfolio with projects that are not hers. Many/most of the photos above are taken from other people's work. *She turned a 5-7 day project into weeks of excuses and delays. Never once in the lengthy span of work did she show up on time. *The work she left behind is defective, unsafe, and already failing. Now leading to further repairs and need of action. *The two bathroom counters she attempted were horrendous on the first try and had to be redone immediately. One was redone and remains mediocre at best, while the other was barely "covered up" rather than corrected. Neither comes close to the standard she promised. *Her negligence caused additional damage to our home, including our under-sink water system which had to be replaced. *To top it off, she has a very unstable history that is littered with incidents that led her to multiple court hearings against her. One of which is very alarming and if we knew of this prior we would have not allowed her into our home. Such can be found in the Santa Cruz county court records. Ultimately, we were forced to terminate (as unfinished) all bussiness with Jamie Sue Walker and have since filed a formal complaint with the California State License Board. **Please protect yourself, your home, and your money. Do not make the same mistake we did.

We had several homes done by Jme and It has raised the value of our home by thousands and we saved thousands by opting for epoxy over real granite. It's maintenance free and we like that.
