Academics are good here. Social life must be pretty boring. This is the sorriest Student center…read morethat I have ever seen. They have a 60 year old bowling alley with 6 lanes and a few pool tables. Not much more except a lame restaurant called Mom's Truck stop. Food was OK (Chicken philly) but their pop machine has no ice and they don't take charge cards. Not many places to hang-out. Book store was small. Fitness complex was OK. The sports stadium was pretty sad. Stands on only 1 side. It was a multipurpose field: football, soccer, lacrosse etc. Not much to do in Wooster. Very few restaurants. Very friendly people in the admissions office.

I would happily give Wooster 10 stars if I could. The academics are fantastic, the staff and…read morefaculty are helpful and friendly and I would have happily attended graduate school there had they offered education beyond a BA. The social life is far from boring, as there are many active sororities and fraternities, bands, campus groups and sporting events at the college. Given any night of the week, there is a party or event somewhere and it is a GOOD TIME. Not only that, but most people on campus have a car and you are a stone's throw from Akron, Cleveland and Columbus. While the student center does have an old bowling lane and some pool tables, there are other spots on campus (secretly hidden within the basement of Compton, Kitteridge and other places) where there are more pool tables and even a bar (The Underground). The library was newly updated with plenty of flatscreen televisions to watch sporting events, connect to Wifi and get some work done, not to mention the GIGANTIC, BRAND NEW GYM AND STUDENT CENTER next to Lowry. Also located inside of Lowry is the Lowry Bookstore, which has expanded a bit, as well as a fire pit, cafe and a number of back room where student groups can have meetings. Mom's Truck Stop is far from a restaurant--more like a late night snack spot for drunk students or someone that wants a coffee and the lines are too long. It is not, by any means, a restaurant. There are, however, a few delicious restaurants on/near campus (the Wooster Inn is great and they just opened a gastropub in the basement and it is walking distance) as well as a number of delicious restaurants located "down town"--less than a mile walk from campus. There are a lot of goings on downtown, with plenty of live music, dance clubs (yes, they exist), bike stores, thrift shops, book stores, antique shops and more. I'm not sure which sports stadium Glenn saw, but I am assuming it was the soccer/lacrosse practice field in between the student center and Babcock Hall. That is not the sports stadium. The sports stadium has built in bleachers and underground tunnels on both sides of the field and is surrounded by an all weather track. Don't see a student organization or club that you are interested in? Create one! The administration is ALWAYS open to new groups being formed on campus to meet everyone's needs. The town is great and you share a real sense of community with everyone in Wooster.
