Tryed to get an appointment with a Dr that was recommended by a previous physician. I could not get into the Dr that was recommended so took an appointment with another Dr at Cornerstone. A few month later I tried again to get in the the Dr that was recommended and was told that I could not see another Dr since I had 1st seen someone else. I was told I would receive a call back to see if my request could be accommodated. 3 hours later the office is closed and no return phone call. read more

I can't attest to the most recent doctors, but my former physician practices here. They are misleading and pushy. If you are considering taking your daughter here, run. My experience as a teen was exceptionally poor. They will also continue to fill your inbox with weightloss and beauty product spams years after you are a patient. Since moving on and having multiple OBGYNs, I've realized how shady and unprofessional many of my experiences were. read more

I hate to give this place a bad review because I truly loved having Dr. Choudhry as my doctor. She is wonderful; I just wish she worked elsewhere. The testing and billing practices at Cornerstone are incredibly shady. I went in for a lab test, and the doctor I saw that day, Dr. Duncan as Dr. Choudhry was out of the office, decided NOT to perform my requested test and chose to perform a completely different, unnecessary, and unbelievably expensive test without discussing it with me. She then proceeded to send that test to an out-of-network lab without my consent and in violation of their own policies. Their financial policy states a specific lab where they will send test unless otherwise requested by the patient. That lab is in network for me which is one of the reasons I originally became a patient at Cornerstone, but apparently Dr. Duncan feels she does not need to abide by that agreement and is perfectly fine with leaving her patients with outrageous bills their insurance will not cover. After weeks of fighting with the office, they agreed to write off the unauthorized tests and perform the originally requested tests free of charge. However, that was all for show as I see today that they have sent a bill to my insurance for the new tests. I was willing to give the office another chance and withhold negative reviews after the initial appointment because I really like Dr. Choudhry and it appeared the office was willing to correct their wrongs. However, I will not stand for being lied too and the shady billing practices of this office. I think every current patient and potential future patient should be aware of my experience so they do not have to go through the same trouble I have been going through. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere for obgyn care. read more

I recently had a baby and used this practice. I would recommend them to anyone! The front office staff was always very kind and welcoming. We loved Kara the ultrasound tech and both of Dr Angers medical assistants. Anytime I needed a appt they always worked with my schedule and accommodated to what I needed. Good thing (aka my reason for giving them 1 star): -The office is clean and nice. And ONE of the nurses there is really nice to me when I go Bad things (aka my reason for not giving them 2 or more stars) -My OB NEVER looked at her chart before seeing me. EVERY. SINGLE visit I had to tell her how far along I was when I was pregnant and what I was having (with my first!). I understand I'm not your only patient, but please at least look at the damn chart before you see me. -She never gave me helpful information that I would need to know about what happens to my body when I'm pregnant. WebMD was more of a helpful guide. I don't understand: she knew this was my first pregnancy and knew I had NO idea what to expect... So why am I the one bringing up glucose testing and that I need to take it soon? This is my first pregnancy! Read my damn chart! -When you ask a question through the patient portal on their website, the nurses take a while to respond back to you. For example, I emailed about a possible yeast infection. It took them more than 2 business days to respond back. Why does it take so long to respond back to a simple question? This has happened to me constantly (lack of punctual response to my messages, not the yeast infection FYI). -When giving birth, the on-call OB (my OB's partner) pretty much told me my hips are too narrow for my "big" baby to be delivered vaginally (my baby was just over 7 lbs). Pretty much said (in not so many words) I'm not good enough to be able to deliver my baby vaginally. Why would ANY doctor tell a patient this???! Especially a scared patient going through this experience for the first time???! -After coming out of OR from C-Section, the same on-call OB pretty much told me that giving birth scares her and she doesn't know how women do it. AGAIN--- WHY are you telling your patient this???! You are in the wrong field if you think it's okay to say this out loud to a first-time patient. -No matter how many times I told the receptionist that my address needs to be updated, they have yet to update it (I've lived in my new place for 10 months). I've told them that my address needs to be updated and gave them my new address at least 5 times. read more

I love Dr. Irvin and Cornerstone OBGYN! I have seen Dr. Irvin for over 5 years and she delivered both of my children. She is truly an amazing physician. She is punctual and professional, but also very warm and down to earth. I've never felt rushed in her office, or felt stupid for asking her all the questions you ask when you're a neurotic first-time mom. She has always been very patient and thorough during my appointments, answering every question I had. I ended up having a c-section with my first pregnancy, and I was terrified because I had really wanted to deliver naturally and it just wasn't happening. Dr. Irvin made me feel completely at ease when it came time to make that decision, and I felt totally safe in her capable hands. My c-section went incredibly smoothly and I healed much more quickly than I thought I would. During my second pregnancy I started retaining extra amniotic fluid during the last 6 weeks, and we needed to take extra care monitoring the baby to make sure everything was going OK. Dr. Irvin's office made sure I could get an appointment any time I needed it, even on short notice, and her nurses were super accommodating as well when there were a few times I had to stay longer for extra monitoring. Also, I should mention that I am TERRIFIED of needles, and Dr. Irvin's nurses were amazing with taking care of me when I had to get my blood drawn during the pregnancies. I have many friends and acquaintances that go to Dr. Irvin as well and absolutely love her. In fact, one of my friends transferred to Dr. Irvin when she was pregnant with her second child because she was having a really bad experience with her previous physician. My friend has really complicated pregnancies, and she absolutely loved Dr. Irvin, who ended up delivering both her second and third babies. She told me she would love to have a fourth baby just to go back to see Dr. Irvin! Trusting your body and your child to a doctor is a big deal, and you really can't make a better decision than Dr. Irvin. I have seen the other doctors in her office occasionally, and they are all fantastic as well. read more

I switched doctor's during my first pregnancy. After getting sick and running a high fever for days, my doctor's office didn't allow me to come in for an appointment. A friend always spoke so highly of Dr. Irvin so I called and they got me set up as a new patient and in to see Dr. Irvin quickly. I am so glad I made that change! Dr. Irvin is knowledgeable, approachable and always answers my questions. We found that our baby was breech and Dr. Irvin gave us 2 options. She could attempt to physically turn the baby or we could schedule a c-section (with the hopes that the baby would still turn). She went through both options thoroughly and answered every questions we had. We opted to schedule the c-section and Dr. Irvin reviewed the process with us during our follow up sessions. She actually reviewed it many times with me because I was so nervous! Unfortunately, the baby remained breech. On the day of my c-section, Dr. Irvin was encouraging, supportive and calming. The procedure ran smoothly and my recovery was easier than I thought it would be. I could not be happier with the care Dr. Irvin provided during my pregnancy and in my general gynecological appointments since my delivery. A first time mom has a TON of questions and concerns and Dr. Irvin is patient and thorough. I'm so thankful to have a doctor that truly cares about her patients as Dr. Irvin does! The staff at Cornerstone are so friendly and accommodating! I had very limited hours that I could come in for appointments and they always worked with my schedule. Every person I interacted with was warm and caring. If you're looking for an OBGYN, Cornerstone is definitely a place to consider!! read more

HORRIBLE experience! I was referred to this doctor by a friend who was diagnosed with cancer by Michele Irvin, I really wish she hadn't because now I know my friend will die due to the incompetence of this doctors office. Normally I am not the type to complain at all. Most of the time I just sit, take it and move on my life because, hey, people make mistakes and I know I have committed my fair share. Anyways, Just to preface my issue, I am from Houston and have NEVER had a bad doctor experience there. I moved to Round Rock/ Austin area for a job and my Boyfriend at the time now Husband. My friend from work suggested I go to Cornerstone and see Dr. Irvin. So I went. Every ones friendly enough but I was having some issues with the service Dr. Irvin provided so I requested to see Dr. Baylor (in the same office mind you) and was told they do not share patients so I had to see Dr. Irvin or go elsewhere pretty much. At which time I had my paragard birth control IUD removed because I as ME not the Doctor decided that was causing my issue. I was right. So I did not go back for a while, but wasn't upset enough to complain. Then (because of no birth control) I conceived my second child. Before I knew I was pregnant, One week after my period and Two weeks before my missed period, I was having some pretty heavy brown discharge (sorry if TMI). So I called the only doctor I knew and went in to see them. Dr. Irvin was unavailable so I had to see the RN Kimberley nice enough lady really fun to be around. I told her I thought I could be pregnant because we had not been using any birth control and that abnormally bleeding was NOT common for me. She had me take a URINE pregnancy test. Now maybe I was a promiscuous teenager what have you but even I (no medical or college degree 23 yr old mother of 2) knew that a URINE pregnancy test was going to come up NEGATIVE TWO WEEKS BEFORE A MISSED PERIOD! it says so on the damn box! But I just smiled said thank you and she checked out my uterus and set up and ultra sound appointment to have my enlarged Ovary checked out. (which was the ovary I ovulated from which is why it was enlarged). Ultra sound technician didn't find anything either! BIG SURPRISE (sarcasm) So I wait till the day before I expect my period and take another urine test and guess what! it came back positive so I went about the regular pregnancy routine. about two weeks later I start having some spot bleeding and cramping which still persist during my pregnancy now. So I called Dr. Irvin and since she had no appts available she told me to go to the hospital or wait till the next day! I really did not like that answer, was she not supposed to be my doctor! What if I was having a miscarriage! Through out all of this the Ultrasound technician kept saying she couldn't find anything wrong. I finally decided to go back to my doctor in HOUSTON that delivered my first child. I had an appointment set up with Dr. Irvins office which I didn't reschedule or cancel cause I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it or not. Then I just plum forgot. So I go to Dr. Tsai in Houston and he IMMEDIATELY tells me whats wrong and that the baby is fine I just need to be careful rest and a few other things. I got a call from Dr. Irvins nurse, after I miss my appointment with her. I tell Candace that I was sorry I was in Houston seeing my other doctor so there was no need to reschedule it and that I would be in for my next appointment. BEWILDERED and stammering Candace very condescendingly hangs up with me. About 30 minutes later I get a call back from Candace in a VERY RUDE tone asking which doctor I was going to deliver my child with. I told her honestly that I did not know because I was back and forth between Austin and Houston because of my family. she proceeds to tell me that I cant miss appointments because that's space someone else could use and that I need to decide which doctor I am going to see because basically Dr. Irvin doesn't share patients (not her words exactly but in a very rude tone non the less). I don't know if I got this wrong but I thought that I lived in America and as of right this moment Health Care is still something I pay for, as in I pay the doctor, so does that not meant doctors are in the customer service industry?? Worst experience in my life! and I am glad Candace called me because I will never go back to Corner Stone OBGYN EVER again and hope NO one else is put through what I went through there. read more

I have had a good experience at Cornerstone OBGyn so far. I can mainly speak to the GYN part and not really the OB yet, but hopefully in the near future. I'm surprised of the negative reviews. I have found the staff to be pleasant and courteous. They have made efforts to save me money by making sure I didn't schedule my annual too soon to make sure insurance would cover it. The initial appointment took a while to get in, but after that, I have been able to get same-day appointments. I see Dr. Anger and she is efficient and friendly. She answers all my questions, and I appreciate how accessible her nursing assistants are. Dr. Anger had the insight to do a rare test that helped to identity a part of the chronic issues that I have, and now they are under control. The staff has had some trouble drawing my blood, but I've always been a hard stick. They also have a blood draw service located down the street from them, so it's not too much of an issue. read more

Dr. Bookout was great and I have not experienced any issued with office staff- they've been great as well. I went for an 8 week ultrasound to see what should have been our baby to find out I had a very rare pregnancy- a complete molar pregnancy- a tumor that's cancer and not a baby at all (1 in 1500 pregnancies experience this). Our first meeting wasn't as expected but she was great anyways with delivering the terrible news. She gave me all the info in a very caring way and answered every question. I never felt rushed, just overwhelmed as you would understand with getting such horrible news. We scheduled an emergency D & C the next morning and that went great as well. Everything went on time. I have seen her 3 times in the last few weeks and have not had to wait. I couldn't have picked a better doctor to help me with this unexpected problem. After reading other peoples stories that have dealt with what I'm dealing with, I'm lucky to have a doctor that has knowledge of this rare condition and got treated within 24 hours. It can be life threatening if your doctor doesn't know what it is right away. I have a long recovery ahead of me and I'm glad she'll be there to help. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now, previously for the gynecology side and more recently for ob appointments. Unfortunately my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage which has been extremely painful but through out the entire process Dr. Anger and her nurses have been really wonderful. She's always extremely patient and thorough, she takes the time to make sure all my questions have been answered. When delivering the bad news she was nothing short of kind and compassionate. In between my first and second appointments we were kind of in an area of unknown (because as some people fail to understand sometimes all the answers just aren't always immediately available and you just have to wait things out) she never indicated that there was any cause for alarm, just calmly stated the facts and what was to come next which to me seems like the most effective method of delivering bad news. When I went in for lab draws her nurses just kind of let me sob it out, offering comforting words and empathy. They never responded awkwardly and never rushed me out. They returned all my calls promptly and according to their policy which is stated on their recording when leaving a voice mail. Initially I can see how some other reviewers thought the ultrasound tech was maybe short, which might have come off as rude but in reality she's only allowed to say so much. She probably wouldn't do well to say absolutely nothing, but beyond "I'm sorry, this is what i see" it's not her fault she really cant disclose much else. As far as the front office staff goes, I've had mostly good experiences and only a few bad. A couple of the receptionists whom i didn't even see there most recently have been a little rude but most of the time they're great too. It's also worth noting I've never had to wait long and their facility is always clean and kept. read more

I have been going to Cornerstone since Aug 2009. I am very happy with Dr Choudhry, Amanda, Gretchen, and entire staff. They have been so supportive and helpful on both OB and GYN side. They supported me through my first pregnancy and now my second one as a high risk patient due to my age. I have had some other issues in between and so in those regards they have definitely been a blessing as well. I feel very comfortable discussing any concern I have with anyone in the office whether health related or otherwise (insurance, billing, appointments). I have never been rushed through an appointment, sonogram, or treatment. Wait times are short, unless Dr Choudhry is delivering a baby and / or at the hospital, which is conveniently right across the street. Usually then they offer to re-schedule, for me to wait, or see another Dr. I have had a chance to see Dr Anger and Dr Duncan as well when Dr Choudhry was unavailable. Both were amazing to take over when Dr Choudhry was unable to. In fact, Dr Anger delivered my first child because Dr Choudhry happened to be out of town when I went into labor. I have had nothing but excellent treatment and care from everyone. I definitely recommend this practice. They have been absolutely awesome. read more
