Dr. Kevin Brown and Dr. Jennifer Rumpf are incredible. I recently went in for my annual exam, and Dr. Brown caught something that most providers likely wouldn't notice during a routine visit. This is actually the second time he has identified something early and ordered preventative measures, which I'm incredibly grateful for. He referred me to Dr. Rumpf, and I truly cannot recommend her enough. She is clearly an overachiever, the best possible way. She is extremely knowledgeable and deeply caring, just like Dr. Brown. What I was experiencing could have been mentally and physically overwhelming, but her constant communication, clear explanations, and thoughtful recommendations (always with context) made all the difference. But I lost trust when I found out they are using their professional credentials to lobby for extreme laws that are in direct conflict with women's health. Yeah, scratch what I said about trusting Dr. Brown (female), plus I'm deducting a star. She came back with an insensitive, finger-pointing message about me bringing up my issue during the appointment. So, I'm supposed to know that you handle this problem that is not even listed as a problem you handle on the website? She said that this type of thing is screened for during the intake questions, but they do not ask questions even referencing my problem. They ask about your job, sexual activity, and what drugs you take, and that's about it. Not really related. I'm going somewhere else ASAP. I've never actually had an OBGYN, but I'm glad I do now! If you're like me (or how I used to be) and still see your PCP for women's health needs, I highly recommend switching to Dr. Ingrid Brown. Everyone in this office is extremely friendly and Dr. Brown will take time to personally call you to go over any concerns you may have. I always get quick replies to my messages online, and I send way too many. I even received a phone call today to give me an estimated cost for an upcoming visit (without me asking) because they know I'm concerned with how my insurance works. First, the office and dr are very nice. However.. I went to my first appt stating I did NOT want to be put on any medication. I was put on a med. called dr office 4 days in a row after feeling very off and having abnormal bleeding start which was listed under the life threatening side effects. 4 days I called and left messages. I called ER because I was so concerned. Was told to demand to speak w my dr. I called back and left another message. Finally my call was returned and I was told to stop taking med. then she wanted to put me on something else. NO!!!! I'm sorry but that is insane to me! Makes me feel like a dr only trying to make money rather than the care of the actual patient. It shouldn't take 4 days for you to call someone on something that's so serious. I'm very disappointed and will not return to this place. They are nice, but really need to treat patients how they would want to be treated. I have worked at a dr office where I was the ONLY assistant. It never took me more than 1 day to return a call. So being understaffed as they said to me is a sorry excuse in my opinion. I appreciated the friendly, well-informed office staff who greeted me by name as I walked in the office each time. I can't say enough about the exceptional medical care provided by Dr. K. I have mixed reviews. My appointment was at 4. Waited for 45 minutes standing (all 6 chairs were taken). Nurse was quick and professional. Doctor Kevin Brown came in shortly apologizing about the wait. Took my implanon out in about 10 mins and we were done! Dr. Brown was friendly, efficient, and a bit of a smartass! I like his dry humor. Some people may mistake that for rudeness but my husband and i got a kick out of him. All in all good experience. Besides the wait but hey! I've seen Dr. Ingrid many times for 3 years. Can't say really bad things about her, other than the fact that I feel like she is always in a hurry. The staff and billing is the biggest issue. They are Ok to schedule appointments and not even ask you if you need them. This is rediculous! I had a hard time trying to resolve an issue with the office manager. I called 2 times to try to talk to her, but she was busy. I was assured by the staff member that she will call me back shortly. But she never did! I came to fill out paper for my insuarance in order to get a discout. They checked my blood preassure, height and weight and then sent me a bill for the nurse visit! In the meantime I was told that as I was not going to see the doctor this appointment will be free of charge. I am very frustrated with this office. I've been seeing Dr. Kevin Brown for 3 years now and I absolutely love him! He saw me through my pregnancy, delivered my beautiful baby boy, and has been working with me for the past 2 years to find a reason for my continued pain that started in pregnancy. He always takes the time to answer all of my questions and the staff always calls me right back if I leave a message. The office staff is always friendly and accomodating. I work with insurance (albeit dental) and I know how difficult it can be. Dr. Brown's office has always been great with my estimated costs and if there was ever an overpayment, I was promptly refunded. My sister in law sees Ingrid Brown and loves her as well. If you're looking for knowledgable, caring practitioners than look no further. The office is also in a brand new building and very well kept! read more

Dr Brown and his nurse are the sweetest. I have really bad anxiety and when I showed all my concerns and even cried in his office they were very comforting. I also have a special needs child and instead of judging me when we told them it wouldn't be very good if we were to get pregnant right now, they helped pick the perfect birth control. I didn't react to one very well and they were super quick to remove it and switch it up. They are also very generous with their samples! They follow up when they promise to, sometimes even sooner! I have been a patient of Round Rock OBGYN for about 9 years now. Dr. Kevin Brown truly cares about his patients and it shows. It is relatively easy to get an appointment when you need one, they take the time to listen to you and explain everything. They are not like other medical providers in the area and in the same field that make going to the doctor feel like a cattle call where you are ushered in and seen for less than 5 minutes by a doctor who couldn't care less. It is true that there is sometimes a wait, but I do not mind because I know that he is giving his other patients the same time and care that he gives me. The only thing that I would suggest is free wifi, would make the wait easier ;) Also, make sure you look at all the hidden reviews for them not just the ones chosen by yelp. read more

Dr Ingrid Brown was my obgyn for the birth of my second child. Over the 9 months I went to her she was always very soft spoken and courteous. She has the most angelic voice unlike her husband. And is a pleasure to have throughout the process. Being a woman she understands childbirth from her own personal experiences and is compassionate to what issues come up along the way. The best part about her office is that my visits always had an ultrasound viewing of my baby. It was nice to see the little guy get bigger and watch him move. The waits were never long if at all. I think I had to wait 5-10 mins once or twice. The only thing I didn't like was the on call procedure. There is no nurse after hours so you are basically interrupting the doctors evening or weekend by calling it. I wasn't aware of that when I went to the er the first time I had a complication and Dr Kevin brown answered and was very annoyed with my call and short tempered. I did not like his tone and would not recommend using him based in my experience with him. If you set up your office to take your own calls then don't be a jerk to your patients. Especially pregnant ones. I would give this 5 stars based on Ingrid and her delightful staff of nurses but her husband brought it down a star. read more

The staff called me in about 35 minutes later after my appointment time. This is my first time here. I made sure to let the nurse know first that I was married and then explained about my female health problems and also I was do for a pap smear. As, she was taking notes and asking questions about my health, She then asked "You are married right'? I said yes" I am". I Immediately felt uncomfortable with the nurse and I didn't understand, why she didn't believe me. I'm a 33 year old educated woman with a ring on my finger. She also talked to me as if I was slow. About 10 minutes later, the doctor walked in..I again explained why I was here and wanted a yearly check up. After a few minutes, The Doctor asked if I wanted to proceed with the pap smear? I said of course that's what I'm here for.. I concluded, it may be because of my skin color. Dr. Ingrid Brown was an average rating but the nurse bedside manor was unacceptable . I filled out my new patient paperwork online so sign in was a breeze and the receptionist checked my co-pay amount before I was seen by the doctor so I would know the total. The waiting room had comfortable couches but I was taken back to my room quickly. The nurse was kind and I felt comfortable sharing my medical history with her. Dr. Brown was quick and thorough with my annual exam and explained everything in full. He answered my questions and offered advice and I left with the information I needed. Absolutely the best obgyn experience! Dr. Ingrid Brown and her staff are so knowledgeable and made the whole process a breeze. I am suffering from heavy mens and I'm on my second day on Provera and I can already see the difference. Dr. Brown was so patient about hearing my story and answered all my questions and helped me feel at ease on my first visit. This whole situation was having a huge emotional and physical toll on me and now I have my normal life back!! She educated me and I recommend anyone to her practice. The last OBGYN I didn't really care for. I just wanted to get my check up done to make sure I was ok. But since I wanted to get the right birth control it was time to get serious. I chose this office because they are literally down the street from my house AND my sons daycare. A star for convenience! I will always have morning appointments because come on, who wants to go to the DR in their afternoon? Not me! Receptionists are friendly and nice. Another star for customer service! Since I've been there a total of 2 times one of the nurses didn't seem too happy to be there but hey, I don't take it personal so I didn't care. What I cared most is my doctor and the attention I was about to receive. I had the Dr. Mr. Brown and at first the way he spoke seemed like he was talking down to me which was ok because I'm young and older people tend to do that. So when I start telling him things I know about birth control and symptoms and such his mood and the tone he spoke to me changed to a much more easy going conversation. After selecting the type of birth control I wanted he was supportive and made sure I knew the symptoms that came with it since I was taking it to avoid my chronic migraines. My second visit was flawless. He asked if I had questions concerns and of course I had none since our first appointment was incredibly informative. It's a give and take with doctors. If you don't ask questions to assure what you are taking or you want to take etc they won't make that effort to give you the care you need! They've got a loyal patient out of me! read more

THIS PLACE IS OVERCHARGING AND SCAMMING THEIR PATIENTS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES! It is interesting that on other sites based on surveys this office, specifically Dr. Ingrid Brown, had such high ratings. I have a problem with this office for various reasons listed below: 1. I went in for my 2nd Guardasil vaccine before work. A VACCINE. I thought "Ok, I'll just go in and get the vaccine and go to work." As I get there, they tell me I must take a pregnancy test. I told them that unfortunately I was unaware I would have to take a pregnancy test and really didn't need to go. They hand me a bottle of water and tell me they can wait. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! When I inquired as to why I needed to take the pregnancy test, they said it was a requirement by the vaccine. 2. They lied. This is NOT a requirement for the vaccine; I knew this going in. I told them I would just go get the vaccine at another time at my regular physician's office. They then tell me that is not a vaccine offered by regular physicians. Again, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! A vaccine that is meant for people ages 9-26, and is sometimes a school requirement depending on the district, and you are telling me that the ONLY way they can get the vaccine is by coming to an OBGYN's office. That was lie #2! 3. I call my physician's office and they confirm that you do NOT need a pregnancy test to get the vaccine, and that regular physician's offices do offer the vaccine. They asked me to have the office fax the records over and they will give me the other 2 left in the series. 4. I get a call from Round Rock OBGYN saying I've missed my appointment and there could be a fee. I was confused as I remember canceling all appointments after the last attempt to get the vaccine. They tell me it was set for mid-day Wednesday and I missed it. I immediately knew I hadn't set this appointment myself as I work 25 miles from this location, and only scheduled them for first thing in the morning before work. In fact, making the last appointment was difficult because of this! 5. I faxed the request to have vaccines transferred to my regular physician a total of 5 times. 5 times! I have confirmation sheets from each time, and even called beforehand to verify the phone number before I faxed it. The first request was in DECEMBER, they FINALLY faxed them over in MAY! Luckily, I had already gone to the office myself to get a copy to take to the office in person. I would like to say Dr. Brown seemed very nice the whole 5 minutes I saw her, but I really have a problem with doctors offices that performs unnecessary tests. I currently work in insurance, and this really seems like the typical situation where a doctors office does more tests than necessary to charge the insurance company more and rack up the bill. Especially, when the patient is unlikely to notice if they just have a routine co-pay. Regardless of what they charge for, my copay was the same. For some people it may seem like they are being more thorough, but in all honestly it is just not always necessary. I have never been to an OBGYN office that has a huge basket of urine sample cups waiting by check-in! That means everyone that walks in there gets that test done! If it was truly to be thorough, then why aren't all physicians offices doing this? They could test for all sorts of things every time just in case, but they don't. It is not necessary and costs everyone involved more money just to increase their bottom line. I would say for anyone wanting an honest practice, ESPECIALLY those with high deductible health plans or no insurance, go somewhere else. They will rack up the tests and you will come out paying more than necessary. In addition, I don't think anyone should go to a place where the staff lies about requirements or availability of standard vaccinations or medications. read more

well, i didnt make it past the reception area!!!! i got there filled out ppwk and then was called over to the desk for my co-pay. i have a few problems with this because my copay is not a set amount it is 20% of the total bill. most doc offices will give me a total after services have been performed or they will bill me. the staff member informed me that my copay would be $93.??. i cant remember the change amount. but i became livid. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU CHARGING MY INSURANCE FOR IF MY 20% COPAY IS $93 DOLLARS!!!!!! i calmly explain to the staff member that i cant comprehend how they could come up with that amount being that the doc hasnt seen me to know what my problem is and her response is "we have set hourly prices that we charge insurance companies" REALLY!!! i asked for my paperwork back (the forms i filled out) and left!!!! dont come here, obviously they are charging insurance companies thru the roof and in the long run people like me and you suffer when we wonder why our healthcare coverage goes up every year!!!! read more

horrible place, find someone else. went up the elevator and almost felt like it was on its last leg. receptionist was short and almost snooty. so short with us that they overcharged us on our copay, didn't realize it until my wife told me and I figured they were out of network but looked it up and indeed they were in network with our insurance. our copay was even listed on the card itself, and once I spoke to our insurance, they had a log that they did call to verify our insurance would cover and yet they didn't even bother to write down the correct info. also, my wife was rushed in and out of there like some carwash, find someone else and don't go to them, I'm still waiting for them to refund what they overcharged me, even after I had my insurance call them only reason we went to them was because it was the first place to popup on google and we figured a small practice like this would be better than a big facility, never again, read reviews people before you go! read more

I went to see Dr. Ingrid on a coworker's suggestion and she was just as nice and helpful as my coworker had said. I felt very comfortable discussing sensitive subjects with her and she was gentle in her physical approach--actually probably the most gentle I've experienced. In that respect, Round Rock OBGYN was really wonderful. My issue comes in because I am also having some...er...womanly issues that I wanted testing for before trying an over-the-counter medication that might not actually be needed. My appointment was at 8am on a Tuesday morning; I was there even before the office staff. Just as a side note, I waited a little over 30 minutes to be called in and was asked to give a urine sample (as a previous reviewer had mentioned) before even having seen the doctor. But those things aren't the reason I'm writing. Today, Thursday afternoon, they called to let me know that it usually takes a few days for the testing place to receive the sample and then it usually takes about a week to return results. WHAT??? As if this wasn't bad enough, Round Rock OBGYN then told me that they're going to be closed next week so I won't be able to get the results even when they do come in. I asked about the lab giving the results directly to me but was told they wouldn't do that. ACK on all accounts!!! They advised they could send in a prescription for one of the two possible options and, if that didn't work, I could wait three days then try the over-the-counter medication for the other possible option. But AVOIDING unnecessary/incorrect medication was the reason I went to get formally looked at in the first place! I have a high deductible insurance plan so going somewhere else to get this test run wasn't in the financial plans (such as a previous time in a different city when I had a similar issue "down there" and the office tested the sample right in house and told me what the problem was even before I left the office). Oh boy. Since we women often wait to see if symptoms will resolve themselves before making an appointment, usually by the time the appointment rolls around we're ready for relief. Now to know it's going to be another week and a half before I even know what's really going on...darn. This is such a bummer. The office is easy to get to, very nice, and I really think Dr. Ingrid is amazingly lovely! I would like to continue seeing her, but feel a strong need to let other potential patients know that if you're looking for testing for possible yeast infection or BV, be sure to inquire about when you will know results! read more

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Kevin Brown. I am pretty picky when it comes to doctors because I am knowledgeable about my health concerns and also I am very much in favor of preventative care rather than figuring out later that there was a problem. He listened to all of my history and the nurse took very detailed notes. He reviewed all of my concerns and put in for a wide array of tests in order to ensure nothing gets overlooked. I switched to this practice 3 years ago and cannot be happier. Dr. Kevin Brown is my doctor, and he could not be nicer. Same for the nurses. No one in the office has once made me feel rushed in any way or like I was asking a stupid question. Every time I come in it seems like Dr. Brown has a statistic or additional info on whatever questions I ask, it is very clear to me that he keeps up with the current literature. I have been going to Dr. Brown for the last 4 years. He delivered my 4th child anfog it me through a horrid pregnancy. A year later, I went in for severe cramping and a rather large cyst was discovered. Dr. Brown was with me every step of the way, including the surgery (fabulous job) and recovery. I have never felt like "just another patient," rather, someone he actually cares to see through every process. My insurance changed and unfortunately wasn't accepted by the office-- I willingly paid out of pocket costs just to have my care handled by Dr. Brown. I never thought I would look forward to going to the gynecologist, however, the office, nurses, receptionists, and the two Dr. Browns have an amazing practice. read more

I have been with this office through 3 locations and (almost) 8 years. Dr Kevin Brown delivered my first son and was great throughout my pregnancy and my delivery (12 long hours) They always answered my "first time mommy" questions without making me feel stupid and reassured me of the great job I was doing carrying this big ol man! His wife, Ingrid, even did our sons circumcision. With my second pregnancy, I had switched insurance which this office didnt take. So I had to find a new OBGYN..I told my husband throughout that pregnancy I missed Dr. Brown and he made me feel so comfortable and this new doc (who apparently is a big wig int he OBGYN world) was no comparison to Dr. Brown. After switching jobs and back to an insurance that they do accept I am so happy to be back. This office always goes above and beyond to make me happy when I have issues at the pharmacy. I've run into the staff outside of the office and they are all so friendly and stop to talk to me. Dr. Ingrid Brown has been by doctor for a few years now and I couldn't be happier. She takes the time to listen to my questions and comments about trying to find the right birth control for me. She is polite and makes me feel about as comfortable as possible when in this particular position. My office visits are always polite and don't ever take longer than necessary. I would recommend this to my family and friends, and I have. Many of my friends go to see her as well. I have never seen Dr. Kevin Brown but everytime I am in the office he is polite and even answered one of my questions for me once when it was last minute and Dr. Ingrid was busy. read more
