I live in Eastvale and I drive down to this public library because it is absolutely the best public library near me. It is large, lots of tables, quiet, clean, lots of windows so natural light, adequate parking, safe. I come here to study for the CPA exam... and I enjoy this library more than the Eastvale library and Ontario library.. bathrooms are clean and acceptable here too. Thank you.FYI, I only come on Saturday's so not sure how it is on regular weekday. read more

I like coming to this location! I LOVE LIBRARIES! I LOVE TO READ! I can easily spend hours here! It is very easy to locate, google map takes you right to the place. If you're coming from the freeway then it is off the Main St exit and it is located on the corner. It has its own private lot, so there is ample amount of parking place available and if that parking lot is full they have an additional parking place available right across from the library. I would suggest getting out by the Main street side, especially if you need to take a left turn because on the other exit there is a stop sign and one usually ends up waiting for at least 3-4 minutes for the traffic to die down. I like the way it's organized - very easy to find things! It is super clean. Service is amazing, everyone at the check out counter as well the information desk is quite friendly and always willing to help! They have divided the sections for kids, teens and the adults. The decor for each of that area is appropriate for the age - the kids section is super cute. They have a variety of CDS that they loan out as well. There are more than enough computers available for the members to do their work however there is a two hour limit. They offer ESL classes and my mom went there regularly - she learnt a lot from it. My sister also volunteered at this library while she was in High School - she said that it was great to work with the staff. They always do summer reading programs that encourage one to keep reading over summer. There are usually different programs going on in their conference room - right by the check out counter. I am in love with there quick check out option and also the emails about when your books are due and reminders of when the date is approaching. read more

My sister and I came here to get our passports. The man who checked us into our appointment was nice and professional, making sure we had everything in order. We then started the process of applying for our passports with two girls who were both very friendly and made us feel comfortable as we posed for our pictures. They laughed with each other and even made sure our pictures came out good enough so that our passport application would not get rejected. Overall, it was a great and fast experience. read more

Support local libraries!!! I think this library is a wonderful testament to community involvement and integration. There are many resources available here like adult reading programs, kid reading programs, tutoring programs, etc. I first came here for passport services and decided to check the venue out. Upstairs, there was artwork done by local high school students. Downstairs, there was a music section, adult section, children's section, a magazine section, etc. The place itself is impressive. This is a beautiful library. It has been remodeled for some time now and still looks brand new. It is open and airy with all the windows, very clean and each section is spread out so you are not on top of people all fighting over a chair or table. The childrens area is full of fun books for the kids, with computers and various programs for kids to learn on, lots of cozy seating and tables and chairs to sit and read with your children. The teen room is new, it's glass walls allow everything to be seen, they have made it very inviting and comfortable to study, research and learn in. There are many staff members around to assist you, often get greeted by many employees during my visit. The best feature about this location is the passport services. I received my first passport from here and the whole process took about 8 mins. I know it says appt. only, which I didn't know when I arrived, but they took me anyway. I love the Corona Public Library for so many reasons. 1. Great layout of different rooms so that noise doesn't carry throughout the library. For example, the children's section is tucked away in the north side, away from the adult section where many people like to read and work in silence. 2. Cool lounge area on the second floor. Most people don't even realize that a second level exists. 3. Great programming for kids. My nieces love the Family Fun night on Tuesday nights. They absolutely adore Mister Z and his hilarious antics. 4. Good selections in the CD, DVD, and new book areas. The only thing I would like to see improved is the weak WiFi signal. This is a great library that I take my children to on a regular basis. The children's area alone is larger than some other libraries I have been to. They offer a plethora of classes and events for the entire community. They also offer study rooms and an art gallery on the top floor. My daughter is particularly fond of the large fish tank when you first walk in. The book selection is good, but unfortunately about 1/4 of all the books we request are 'lost' or 'missing.' This is, of course not the library's fault but the patron's who use or abuse the great opportunity the library gives. The only reason I knocked off a star is because of some of the people who congregate in and around the library. Today there were people smoking and people yelling profanity when my small children and I were attempting to walk in the library. Alas, this is typically the scene when walking in. They meander inside at some point which is when we leave. Overall, this is a wonderful library and one that is worth checking out. read more

I recently was preparing for an exam. It was critical for me to do well as it's a requirement of my job to be licensed. I took two days off work to prepare. I have two small children and knew I needed a quiet place. I decided the library would be perfect (quiet/peaceful). I was absolutely horrified by the amount of noise in this library. They have a kids summer program and kids are running up and down the halls screaming. As I mentioned, I have two kids. I appreciate this programming very much however, it's a library and the chaos should be kept to a reasonable level. It absolutely was not. When I inquired about the most quiet place to study, I was told (with attitude) it summer and it's just noisy. The employees did absolutely nothing to control the noise level. The kids and adult section is separate and I felt they minimally should patrol the adult area asking kids to not run/scream. It would be totally reasonable to contain the noise to the children's area. I get kids will be kids. While studying this lady is in another cubicle a few down from me (across from an employee desk).She takes phone call after phone call after phone call. She spoke very loud and her voice echoed throughout the area. Not one person from the library addressed her and the disturbances she caused. They simply glared in disbelief. Lastly, a librarian by the name of Kristina Anderson was extremely rude. I had a few simple inquiries about the study rooms available. She treated me as an annoyance and disrespectfully. She lied to me telling me they had no availability the next day. I glanced at the reservation sheet and saw availability. I waited until she left and went back up and made another request, sure enough they had availability. I reserved a room for two hours however when I checked in I noticed my room was rented after me. I would have loved the room longer. I noticed several other rooms had no rentals for the entire day. I asked Kristina if I could switch rooms (they were empty) and roll the dice that nobody would request them and I could stay longer. The policy is you can stay 2 hours or when someone else request. Her answer was abruptly "no". So I stayed my two hours and when I left I noticed several rooms open. I was told I couldn't use them as it wasn't fair to others. Huh? What others? I simply wanted to use it until someone else made a request. If she would have switched my room as I originally requested, I could have used the empty rooms. Instead, I sat on a bench across front several empty rooms trying to somehow ignore the chaos of the library. So frustrating. She also tried to tell me I couldn't rent the room out without my physical library card. She was able to look up my information and I had an ID. She was very rude about it all. Scolding me for forgetting my card. This is the point where I packed my study material and spent 6 hours in my car studying. The library is nice on the inside but the staff has a complete disregard for ones experience and lacks professional courteous and respect. Despite the chaos I passed my test! I've been going here since I was a kid as well. So weird to see how much it's changed since then, but it's always been worth the visit. I now take my own daughter and she loves it. I'm a huge fan of their "itty bitty" story time as well. They have 2 sessions, so you can either go to the 10:20am and 11:20am one on Wednesdays. I believe they have preschool story time at the same time as well for the older kids. Every now and then they will do a baby sign language class as well. There's always something going on here beyond simply borrowing books! Also, I love that they have the Sunkist whistle up on display upstairs. My whole family has stories about that whistle along with stories about my grandfather when he was working at that factory. read more

I LOVE-LOVE this library and have been coming here for 15 years. It's large and clean inside with a functional layout and many extras including a mini museum, private study rooms, small performance-type room and a store which sells old books/magazine. If you're only checking out books, you can use one of the self service machines so you don't have to wait in line. Just note if you're checking out anything digital (CD, DVD, etc) you'll have to check out in person. They have drive-by drop boxes outside if you don't feel like parking and going inside and there is a large bin right on the inside of the front doors for donations. My only gripe is the presence of odd people usually sitting around/smoking at the outdoor area. It seems to be a haven for homeless people who have no where else to go. It makes me feel bad but at the same time, it makes me hate walking through there and forces me to keep my head down and speed walk like a demon so I don't get stopped. The parking lot can get a little crowded on weekends and right after school but there is plenty of street parking. read more

This has been my favorite public library for 13 years! It's insanely huge compared to other libraries I have been to--I had always thought that all libraries were around the same size. The book selections are great and most of the employees are a delight to talk to. I like to purchase books from their little store next to the study rooms and I have struck up nice conversations with other readers. A great community to be around. As a side note, if any high school students want to volunteer as tutors, I highly recommend it! I tutored for around 3 months or so and it was an absolute delight. I've had kids remember me 6 months after not seeing me! But more than that, you have the opportunity to see growth in the children and there's nothing else one can possibly ask for :) read more

This library has it all. First of all it is huge! Big parking lot. You have study tables, cubicles and a huge selection of any kind of book, movies or programs you could imagine. The staff is friendly & helpful and the best part it is most of the time very quiet. The only bad thing is they open relatively late for being a library. read more

Study rooms are noisy. You can hear the noise outside where there are children running around sticking their faces in the window at you, and parents are gladly letting their child do that. Libraries are supposed to be quiet which makes for a great study place and reading area. They need to enforce the quiet policy. Other than that, the staff is great! Not to down Corona but I was in Corona for two days last week and can't say there was much that I found interesting until I went to the library. (Yes, I am the type of person that visits a library while I tour an area.) I was really surprised by just how great this library was between the different services, collection and staff. They have numerous projects for children and teens and even an art gallery, genealogy research services and visa/passport services! This almost makes me want to look for more of this city's hidden places. read more

I'm here ALL the time because it's only 2 blocks from my house and it's such a pretty walk!! :) everyone is so nice, they have an art section in the quiet room and when you need you can check out a private study room for the day. Oh and I love the events they have! They just had a "Show Off Your Pet" competition that was cool, they do concerts, dance shows, story telling and soooo much more! This is the only library that I know is open until 9pm M-W! THe parking can be crazy and I wish they were opened earlier then 10 am but I guess it is a government owned building so you cant ask for much. If you sit in the Spanish section it is usually very quiet! :-) read more

I've been going to this library since I was a little kid, and it has really grown from its humble beginnings. The children's section has walls painted to look like a forest, and a cozy nook to read in. Definitely a good way to encourage kids to go to the library more. There are plenty of huge windows in all the different areas, that make the large rooms seem even more spacious, not to mention they let in natural light during the day. The books, CDs, and DVDs are mostly all well cared for, without major scratches or rips. There's an art gallery, book shop, private study rooms, and various different services. The only thing that bothers me is that the self checkout system is no longer available. However, that doesn't change that this is a great library and one of my favorite places in Corona. read more

I like it a lot here...they have a lot of desk for you to study/read... At the very back part is what I like most its quite ... I like their separate rooms too, although its not sound proof when you want a really quite area this is not for you but you can use this room if you want to do a group study its free and you can use it for 2hours, you are not required to leave as long as nobody knocks on your door :) read more

This is a Great Library!! Its not only a good size but its nice and open with lots of windows. It has plenty of rooms to study in a big Plus for a mom in school=) they also have single/private rooms which is really nice. The staff is nice and helpful as well. The Childrens area is birght and open as well and plenty of seating and tables to sit at in there. They also have several computers in the childrens area for the kids to use. They also put on alot of different free events and things for kids and some not for kids too, its great!! read more
