Also, they have classes you can attend and after 50 classes you get a reward, the classes are fun and very entertaining ,and they have different times that can fit any schedule. The only con about this gym is that it gets filled up easily and they don't have every equipment but overall you can still get a great workout in and end your session with a 30 minute sauna treatment.

They've made many changes to the place and are continuing to add classes to the schedule. They are the only place that I know of on Coronado that offers Hot Yoga. I started doing the hot yoga classes a few weeks ago and really love them! If you run, bike and swim as much as I do then you need to loosen up your muscles and hot yoga does the job! I highly recommend coming by and trying a class. I believe they have a free guest pass on their web site. The Zumba class also looks like a lot of fun but I am too embarrassed to dance with all of those people who look like they know what they're doing! The gym equipment is kind of an eclectic mix of machines and free weights. There are several treadmills, elliptical machines, stairclimbers, and bikes. It's small but generally not crowded so you never have to wait long for anything. If you're looking to unwind after swimming, biking or running on the strand, definitely check out the Saturday or Sunday hot yoga classes at 10am.

Working out at Fit Athletic in Mission Beach is the ultimate San Diego thing to do. You truly feel…read morelike a San Diegan, getting your workout with most elite equipment, overlooking the ocean, then hitting the sauna or cold plunge while listening to the ocean waves. It doesn't end there, if you're there around lunch time, you can get yourself a delicious smoothie, power bowl or a margarita while soaking in the sun, sitting under a cabana or a beach chair. Literally does not get any better. Everytime I hit the gym feels like vacation. I love their classes, access to the plunge pools and all their amenities like eucalyptus cool towels. Not even Lifetime offers that and they charge an extra $150 for their monthly memberships. Shout out to Jared for setting me up.

The classes were small with a wide range of experience, but somehow, everyone gets accommodated and feels welcome. Linda is the heart and soul of the center; she welcomed us in and made me feel like I could actually learn some tai chi despite my incredible klutziness. She worked a miracle - in just four classes I felt much more confident. After each class, I felt an amazing sense of inner peace. I highly recommend this studio.
