Best place to stay in Western Wyoming. Hiking trails are only minutes away. The town of Pinedale has several excellent restaurants, including the China Gourmet. There is an awful smell in the closet...dogs poo'ing or peeing in there? Was told our room was 118. Ok. Then couldn't find our room. Would be nice if desk person told people who are staying on the backside of the motel they're on the back side. Wore shower shoes in the shower. The whiskey barn is fully stocked with local spirits, wine and beer. The decor was a vibe and great for playing pool, doing a whiskey tasting, poker tournament, watching football and had a fly workshop with ranch attire you could buy. The layout of the property was perfect with lake and river views perfect for sunrise and sunset. The thing that made this experience the most memorable were the people. Jeff the owner spent time with our group and made us feel like we were friends/family. My brothers and I were looking for a cheap place to stay so we could hit the trail early the next morning. This place fit the bill. From calling the location to setup a reservation to checkout was a positive experience. The owner is top notch, so friendly and easy to accommodate our late arrival. The room was standard with 2 queen beds. Beds were the older type but all 3 of us slept well and did not have any aching backs in the morning, win. Carpet was outdated but clean and I did not notice any stains. Bathroom was very clean and bath was spotless. My only complaint is there was plenty of soap but no shampoo. Overall I'd stay here again if I needed a no Frills place to stay and a cheap place for a night.
