I was referred by TWO different dentists for a root canal and drove 2.5 hours to Eastern Iowa Endodontics because I trusted their expertise. Instead, I was told I didn't need a root canal and only needed a filling. Even more concerning, the doctor told me I never had an infection. The first thing I did after leaving was call my referring dentist. They immediately pulled up my X-rays and confirmed there had been an infection documented. So now I'm left wondering how two referring dentists could identify the same issue, yet this office dismissed it entirely. I wasted an entire day, fuel, and hours of driving only to feel rushed out the door and treated like my concerns didn't matter. I left with more questions than answers and zero confidence in the care I received. I also have serious concerns about what was billed to my insurance for this visit and will be requesting an itemized bill and reviewing it with my insurance company.
