While the others were cool, one of them stopped me while I was halfway up the stairs, asking, "Where are you going?" It was said in the tone of voice, "What do you think you are doing?" I would have let it slide, but she repeated it in the same tone. I told her simply, "THESE stairs go to THOSE seats. I'm going There." Then continued my ascent.

There were a lot of kids out and they had a blast interacting with those who came in Star Wars cosplay. The vibe was safe and fun, and the children learned to wield lightsabers (along with learning a little discipline too!). There were food and snacks, and other cool activities. This was a great experience. The Library staff was polite and very helpful and the facilities were clean and organized. Thank you for hosting this event!

The place looks brand new and always smells good. However don't be deceived by the size, they share…read morethe building with the activities center and a good chunk of the library is dedicated to children. I've found that they have a small Non-Fiction section, not much on American History, about one book on Wine, and nothing on Law. But by the looks of things they're really catering to the local community, I'm just used to extensive departments since I'm a book worm. They have several computers and each time I've gone I haven't had to wait. They have one printer that charges 10 cents a page (exact change only). You cannot renew material online which limits you to calling during business hours or going in person to the front desk. You can also only renew once. Another downside is that there is no drop box outside the library, not even in the lobby of the building.

They also have a few computers that the littles can play educational games on as well. There is a fun outside area that kids can play at too that is gated but doesn't have a play ground on it just an open running and sitting area. Staff was great and there is plenty of seating around to enjoy a book while visiting. Parking in the front and side of the library. There are 6 or 8 computers that people can use to do research or papers and also 2 small rooms to study in along with a couple of conference rooms.

I like this library…read more Ennis Public Library is well designed in my opintion. The openness of the interior makes it easy to navigate. There is a lovely garden in back. The exterior is a visual asset to the city. I found the staff to be friendly. Considering that Ennis is a rather small town, I think the collection of items to borrow is rather large.

It's been awhile since my last review of the SE Library, so it's time to update my review. But,…read moreagain, full disclosure, as it's a library, it gets five stars. Unless, the employees are mean, all libraries get five stars. So, with that understanding, on to the review! The building, inside and out, is nice, but it is definitely small, when compared to most other area library at least. The downside to the size of this library is that it is hard to find a spot to actually read because this is a rather popular library. Realistically though, you can just take your books home, if there really is not a place to sit and read. But, if you're looking to study, you may want to call ahead to see if they have some kind of study space available or to at least get a feeling for how busy they are that day. And, speaking of studying, this library also has computer stations available. You have to sign up, but it's a pretty quick process. And, along with the size comes a reduced selection as the book selection is not extensive. But, you do not have to worry about wasting your time looking for a particular book because they have an online catalog. However, they do have a rather extensive collection of DVDs, with a few Blu-Rays thrown in as well. Again, if you're looking for something specific, you should call ahead or check out their online catalog. The children's section is separated from the rest of the library, and it even has its own separate computer stations available, just for the kids. I appreciate this type of firewall because it keeps the kids out of my area. And, the staff there is always watching, so you can feel safe taking your kids here. As for the staff, they are warm and courteous. If you need help, they will do whatever they can to make sure you get what you need. And, of course, as with any library, they have community boards (near the front doors) that advertise groups, story times, community events, and the like. It's a quick way to get the rundown on what's going on in our community, and some of the groups are interesting. All in all, I recommend this library if you're in the area. Of course, if you're not, check out YOUR local library. I'm sure it's cool too.

Helped and looked for the book and called another branch to put my book on hold!!! It's amazing people like her that makes reading fun for the kids ! Can't thank her enough !
