This is my first time playing here. What a great overall experience for the cost. We were met at bag drop, gave us a quick layout of the grounds. After hitting a few balls we were met by the starter. The course was in fantastic shape for summertime. Not a lot of water but be ready for a bunch of sand traps. (They are maintained perfectly). I am sure we will be back soon. read more

Sad to say this was a very disappointing experience at a course I have played since they opened. Played with a group of 20+ golfers with aerated fairways and greens that hadn't fully recovered from their aeration. Mid July with temps well over a 100° and charged $55/person. Bunkers had limited sand and way too many rocks to be considered a fair bunker. I understand courses must aerate to try and maintain reasonable summer conditions but why overcharge for mediocre conditions. Sad that they would place revenue above respecting our local, year round golfers. Chances of me returning would be slim to none and I am sorry to say that about a course with wonderful bones yet way over priced summer condition rates. read more

food was good, services was ok. They really did a nice job remodeling it, however they have gone from formal dining room to chain restaurant interior. The newly reopened and renamed restaurant, Bella Vista, has a nice menu, usually well prepared. Our favorite dinner options are the salmon, the scallop farfalle, the shrimp scampi, and the beef filet. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. read more

I played the course on 6/10/24 and 6/11/24. I must say I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect. From the beginning the Pro Shop was great, the course was in very above average conditions for the time of year in the desert. The water and ice machines were essential and spaced throughout the course. The refreshing watermelon scented cold towels were amazing. The outside services team were beyond friendly and accommodating. Huge thank you to all the staff there making the entire experience wonderful! I will be back! read more

Great course, nothing but bunkers, and bunkers with some water. Greens are very fast and tough, multi tiered. Fairways and rough are well maintained. Driving range is very nice, balls are included with the price. The club house itself is a little small, could be larger but then again there is a restaurant next door. Food is very good and plenty to drink. Only issue I had was the marshals was constantly watching us and the first chance he had, he informed us to play faster? We had to wait for the group in front of us to go? The pace of play was very fast, I didn't think the group in front of us was slow. That's the only reason for not giving a five star review! I give the course 4 stars. Nice layout with full length fairways. None of that target golf with patches of fairway in between desert and arroyos. Very well maintained with fast greens that rolled true. Greens were also reasonably sloped with no 'don't hit it past the hole or it will run off the green 40' behind' kind of stuff. Now the down side; $8.50 for a hot dog is beyond ridiculous and it took 15 minutes to get with nobody else in the place. When I arrived I was told they were 40 minutes behind due to frost delay. I was a single so, I knew it was going to be a long round with a lot of waiting. However, I was behind a nightmare foursome. Rather than go into details of how everything they did was frustratingly slow, at the 16th tee I'd had enough and just left with them being a full two holes behind the next group. The worst part is there was a Marshall who drove by no less than 5 times with them being 1 - 1.5 holes behind and didn't say a damn thing. read more

This course had been on our radar for some time now. 1. This currently is not a $90 course. Maybe an OK value at $50. 2. They have 'gas' carts that have seen better days. Noisy and smelly. They portray a Country Club setting and those carts are definitely a muni setting. 3. Bunkers need lots of work. 4. Aesthetics - Beautiful setting flowing through beautiful homes - however, the transition areas are unsightly. Dead and unkept trees, leaves and shrubs - weeds everywhere and they don't address the erosion on the banks. Surprised that the homeowners allow that. Dragging those areas bi-weekly would really make a better look. 5. Greens - firm and good speed. 6. Fairways - a little scrappy and longish. 7. Approaches - ok but should transition to a lower height as the fairways. 8. Grill - Excellent! Great staff. 9. Proshop staff friendly and knowledgeable. 10. The course is in need of updating. Bunkers need renovation; tees - mow them - greens - some light verticutting and light top dressing would be a plus. In sum, the course does not hold up to a high golf community standard especially for the price. The owners /HOA should put some capital improvement funds to bring this course to the high standards it appears to have had in the past. read more

Pretty disappointed in the course in general because we know that Kemper is now managing the course, which we assumed the course would be in better shape than it was because it is now under a new management team. Many if not most of the holes are surrounded by weeds plus erosion on the banks around the course. Many of the greens were brown in color, which I understand because it is Winter. The fairways were average at best - thin is many places. Irrigation was an issue on one hole where the water puddled in front of a green so you couldn't access that green without walking around. The staff at the clubhouse was very friendly and accommodating as well was the starter. The clubhouse restaurant was great, good food and friendly staff. We felt the general structure of the course could be so much better with some detailed attention. Definitely not worth the steep price based on the condition of the course. read more

Tees, fairways, greens in very good condition. Greens rolled true, not slow, but not excessively fast. Only complaint...bunkers and there are a lot of them. The greenside bunkers were either wet, or dirt. No sand. Had a sandwich afterward....Good food, pleasant wait staff. The worst service I've ever experienced by far came to play a 2 some with a friend and he didn't have a collared shirt the gentleman who checked us in stated he couldn't play with out a shirt per course rules which is fine... all of his statements are directed towards me as if I was the person out of policy. All the while my friend is constantly telling this man he wants to purchase a shirt so we can go play.. This man follows me and my friend outside still ranting at me and it took for me to ask him he's the one without a shirt why are you yelling at me about it and why are you asking me if he has enough money to purchase a shirt. Just classless and distasteful I will never spend my money here again read more

Corta Bella has always been my go to golf course the last 8 years until this year (2020). As a non member they are very hard to get a tee time and they jacked up their rates to keep the general public away. They are not a $100+ golf course by a long stretch. I played today 6/17/2020 and the course was average at best. I have been playing far better for less money since March 2020. If they want to cater to their members which is fine they should just be a private course. I will not play Corta Bella again. read more

The signage was very poor to the golf course. The course was in good shape . Pace of play was very slow . We were not told it was a shot gun until we checked in . there was. not cart girls.the service in the restaurant was,horribly slow 30 minutes to get breakfast and 30 minutes for a cheese chrisp. the sand was very inconsistent and off the fairway was punishment read more

Some of these reviews are highly critical, I was expecting a dump! But this place is so pristine and beautiful. The grass is exactly what you'd expect from a high quality golf course in Arizona. Don't believe me? Hit up some golf courses in the east valley. The staff were extremely polite and I saw many female golfers having fun and joking around with the people who work here. This is an extremely nice course, and it was well worth the drive. read more
