Corwin Toyota will cut corners, and you will pay the cost. We purchased a vehicle (less than five years old, ~70,000 miles) from Luke at Corwin Toyota. JR was the supervising manager, and our finance representative was JB. We were sent home without the correct paperwork to insure, register, or pay the loan for the car. I had to follow up with JB, and they eventually created a new flash drive for us to pick up with the documents we should have received at the time of sale. A few weeks later, one of the tires stopped holding air. We brought the car to Corwin's service department. The technician told us that the tires did not look good and were cracking on the sides and leaking air. When we explained that we had just purchased the vehicle from them about five weeks earlier, they told us to speak with our salesperson, Luke, right away. Luke told us that the service employees "don't get paid until they make sales," so they will always tell customers they need new tires. These service employees the same people who inspected the car five weeks earlier and cleared it for sale -- so we were quite confused. We took the car to a second tire shop for another opinion. They immediately put the spare tire on and said all four tires were in bad shape, with the front two showing dry rot and needing to be replaced as soon as possible. When we spoke with Luke again, he said "retail tires are a scam" and advised us not to purchase from Corwin or any other professional tire shop. He said he had looked up some tires on Facebook Marketplace on our behalf. He apologized many times, and when I asked if there was anything he could do to make things right, he said he would check and get back to us. He did not follow up. I called again, and Luke said the tires were "good enough to pass inspection" because they "just check tread depth," and that there was nothing more they would do. [UPDATE: After receiving a reply to this review on another platform encouraging me to call customer service, I spoke with Cherie, the head of customer service. She said she would speak with the Sales Manager and General Manager. After doing so, she told me they would not take further action because the tires had "passed inspection." When I asked what advice she would give me if I were her daughter, she said, "we all get burned," and encouraged me to do better research next time. She referred to my experience as a "lesson learned." I also learned that the response to my review was automated -- no one actually cared or wanted me to call.] This was our first time buying a car. We trusted that Corwin was a reputable dealership and did not get a third-party inspection. I will not make that mistake again. Do not trust Corwin Toyota. I'm grateful nothing worse happened, but we now need to replace all four tires less than six weeks after purchasing the vehicle. We will also be getting a full inspection from another mechanic in case anything else was overlooked or misrepresented in the "inspection" completed before sale.

Once they made the sale, it was crickets. Things they promised weren't done, like a full tank of gas. We would NEVER recommend them.

Jesse told me that he would give me a contingent offer on the truck that if I didnt feel safe with the vehicle that I could back out of the deal and after speaking with him and the GM Denisse I felt like I was in trusting hands and they would take care of me. I signed on and financed the truck and they told me that it would take a couple days to fix the oil pressure sensor and it all sounded good to me, i felt safe that I could back out of the deal if the repairs werent met. I will be one to admit that I had actually went and bought another truck that better suited my needs and I was in contact with the dealership to tell them that I no longer needed their truck because I had found something else better and they actually were helpful to try and sell the truck to me to someone else and said I could always try and sell the truck personally if needed. I did push back that I wanted my money back and after speaking with Jesse and Denisse in person a couple days later and they said that I couldn't back out of the deal because they had fixed the trucks oil pressure sensor and it was all good to go and I couldnt just unwind the deal because I didnt want the truck anymore. It was definitely hard to hear but they did say the truck was ready to go and so I was willing to take the truck and try to sell it myself. on 5/20 I then took the truck and didnt even make it home and the oil pressure sensor came on. I alerted the dealership and brough it back the next day. I had now thought that the "We Owe" contingent on repairs on the contract and the trust I had built with the dealership would honor that I didnt feel safe in this vehicle and they have failed to properly do the repairs. Instead I was directed to the servixe manager Chris who is a nice gentlemen and was helping me with professionalism and he said he and his team would take a good look at it and make sure it is fixed. Over the next couple of days I was in touch with Chris and he was in communication what was wrong and insitied that it could be an issue with the timing and that the repairs were going smooth. He assured me that they had gotten everything taken care of and even driving it a good bit to make sure that there wouldnt be any issues with me taking it off their hands On 6/3 I had gotten a call from the dealership that the truck was ready go and I went to collect the truck and it had driven home ok but the next morning I had an early shift and on my way to work the oil pressure sensor light came on and noticed the engine start to feel a little funky and I pulled over because the car would no longer accelerate and then the engine failed to turn on, I had to call triple AAA to get the truck towed to their shop and walk to work which to mention I was caused to be late for. Later that day I called Chris and he had told me that they need to put in a whole new engine. I then told Chris that this is absoulety ridiculous and that I was assured by him, Jesse, and Denisse that this truck was safe and ready to go on 3 separate occasions. 6/4 I now needed a new car to drive around to get to work because (note i did mention earlier I had bought another truck but in a unrelated incident the other truck I bought from a private seller ended up getting in an accident and is currently under repair.) But while the truck from the dealership was under repairs I need a car to get around to work. Chris was nice enough to set me up with an extended test drive on a 21 Chevy Trax I had had it in my possession from friday to sunday with very little driving and the check engine light came on this test drive vehicle as well and I returned it to the dealership.

There were some…read moreminor back-and-forth issues during the process, but the real problem was the window tint. The vehicle had window tint that is legal in Nevada but illegal in Colorado. The rear windows are limo tint and the front windows were around 28%. I told the agent I was working with at least eight separate times that I could not purchase the vehicle with that tint. Not only is it illegal in Colorado, it also makes the car very difficult to drive at night. Each time, I made it clear that the tint would need to be removed before I could buy the car. To pick up the vehicle, I drove about 1.5 hours south while my mother drove about an hour north to meet me there. When I arrived, they attempted to sell me the vehicle with the illegal tint still on it, despite all the previous conversations where I had specifically asked that it be removed. What is most frustrating is that no one ever told me they would refuse to remove the tint. If they had simply told me that ahead of time, I would have saved three hours of driving and a completely wasted trip. Instead, I showed up only to find out the car was not something I could legally buy or safely drive. Chris at that location (I don't know his last name, and there are two of them) repeatedly assured me things would be handled, but in the end nothing was resolved. The entire experience was extremely disappointing. After this experience, I hope to never do business with CarMax again, especially this location. If you are considering buying a car from here, I would strongly encourage you to think carefully and consider other options. My experience with their customer service was extremely poor, and it felt like my concerns as a customer simply didn't matter.

We decided we needed to see an alternative and went to Faricy Boys where we met Patrick Schul. Let me start up front my wife hates shopping for new vehicles and hates high pressure sales. Patrick was none of those. He was a dedicated Faricy Boy salesman who understood and let the product sell itself. We were able to test drive all by ourselves a '26 Jeep Rubicon X 4x4... Super sharp vehicle. The best part was we left and there was no hassle as we wanted to test drive another vehicle. We quickly returned to Faricy where my wife dropped me off. I went in and met Patrick and we did the off road track that sits on the dealership! Very cool to see what the vehicle is capable of! Cannot say enough about Patrick and the finance department. Fine, not their fault- the problems lie after we found out the warranty did not cover the repair. 1- They have quite a high diagnosis fee that they charge even if you get the quoted work done. I understand why this fee exists, so the shop is compensated for their time if you choose to get the work done elsewhere. I have NEVER seen a dealership still charge their diagnosis fee if you DO get the work done there. In my experience at other dealerships, that fee typically becomes waived and you just pay the actual cost of parts and labor. Charging the diagnostic fee ON TOP of parts and labor basically inflates every single job they do by the $200 or so they charge with no value added. For that reason alone, I would not take my vehicle back. In addition, my wife informed them that the shocks had already been replaced by another Jeep dealer (we recently moved) and they would not have looked into parts warranty had I not stepped in and prompted them to. They would have charged my wife the quoted full price (which was certainly an above average rate for the job). I was correct regarding the parts warranty and we ended up having the shocks replaced on parts warranty (the failed parts were only a couple months old, how about that Jeep quality)- but they still charged their bogus diagnostic on warrantied work. The service advisors were nice otherwise. But I don't trust this place or their business practices. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

The caliper was causing the brakes to wear uneven where my back was at a 6 but front was at a 2!!!! Rotors were severely grooved so needed new rotors, pads, & brake flush which was $549 after my $50 off coupon. 3 months of having the vehicle & putting that kind of money on an issue that should have been caught & handled during their "complete inspection" is unacceptable. This is the first & last time I will go to them for a car! Needless to say I won't be bringing the car in for servicing w/them because they don't care & are dishonest. I still haven't dealt with the washer fluid hose. Bob Penkhus on Test Dr. bent over backwards to do what they could whenever I had an issue. When I first bought a car from them about a month later there was an issue that they took care of, no cost to me, because I just bought it & they wanted to keep my business. Mikyla was our service tech and Luke was the diesel mechanic who worked on the truck. Mikyla kept us informed throughout the process. They even sent their shuttle to the RV park (about 40 minutes away) to get us when the truck was ready. They are awesone at taking care of travelers in emergency situations!! What happened: The fan clutch was freewheeling and therefore not engaging, so the truck was running hot. That also had messed up the thermostat, so they replaced it and coolant. They changed the oil because it had gotten hot as well. They cleaned/checked the fuel system. And they replaced the upper brake light (on the cab) that we didn't realize was burned out.
