I come to this location for deep tissue massage therapy. Miranda, one of the massage therapists is absolutely amazing. She varies her techniques and is great at finding the knots in my shoulders and lower back. Miranda even uses cupping techniques without additional charges like most massage therapist do. She offers special tips and videos on stretching on her instagram as well! I have now routinely pre-booked appointments to see her to prevent tension headaches and nausea from tense shoulder muscles. The clinic itself is always clean and has a nice spa feel to it. There's always lemon water available and I have always been greeted with a smile. Do not waste your money at Cosmedics downtown. I went to dr. Singh at Cosmedics down on jasper Ave edmonton . I decided to have him inject 44 units of Botox into my forehead and around crows feet area. He only did half of my forehead saying that he can't do the upper half because it will cause my eyelids/eyebrows to droop. Well after ten days the Botox for my forehead is active and working but around the crows feet never became active . Everything around my eye area is the same as it was before. I told him this at my follow up appointment. He argued and said it is working. When I complained they offered me a 20% discount off my next visit. I laughed at the receptionist and told her there's no way I'm coming back if he won't fix the job in the first place . I got ripped off approx $200. He rushes you in the office and makes extra money off of "medical face chemical peels".......you have one, he never checks or examines your face after .... just a way for more money in his pocket. Front staff are on their cells all the time or gossiping. Front staff manager is very unprofessional, how she got that position I will never know. Stay AWAY!!! First class service at this office, when it comes to botox. I have had botox work by Dr. Singh and his staff for 9 years, always great results. Very skilled at determining exactly how much botox to use, and where to inject to obtain best result. I had a really negative experience in Calgary a few years ago, with a physician who was supposed to be "great" with botox....... and he refused to refund any of my money. I never went back. I would rather drive to Edmonton and know that I will always get a great result with Dr. Singh, and his fees are lower than the physician in Calgary was charging.......the results from his office are well worth the drive !! I give Dr. Singh and his staff 5 stars with botox work, but can't offer any opinion on the Spa or other procedures, as I have only had botox there. read more

I had a facial with Gabriela and it was AWFUL. She completely ruined my skin, worsened my acne and irritated everything. She was not gentle with my skin at all. My forehead was bleeding after and there was excess exfoliant and product left all over my face. I am a pretty natural girl and I am weird about putting things in or on my body. I have always been reluctant to get unnecessary injections, things put on my face that remove skin, or use medications that are not needed. I hardly even take vitamins! That being said, after realizes that my eyelashes had incurred some damage from a cosmetic mistake, I decided I needed to try Latisse or face looking like the Bride of Chucky forever. I contact Dr. Singh's clinic to set up a Latisse consult. I was able to easily make an appointment and I didn't have to wait weeks and weeks to get in. I was greeted at the door by a friendly receptionist and shown to a treatment room. I was given a briefing in Latisse, discussed the cost, risks and benefits. I heard a lot of it (paid particular attention to the cost and benefits) but was awestruck by the girl's "natural" Latisse lashes. They were long, lush, gorgeous and all her own! I couldn't wait to get started!! Being a responsible clinic though, I couldn't walk out the door without meeting with Dr. Singh first. He came in, asked me some relevant questions and went over the product with me again. I purchased two vials, enough to get me through 16 weeks which is how long it should take to see full results. Total cost $300 (but I will get 50$ back with a mail in rebate). Yes, that may sound a bit expensive, BUT, other eyelash cosmetics were costing me 35-70$ every two weeks as it was, and after the initial 16 weeks, a vial should last you 4-5 months as you no longer have to use it daily. I enjoyed my visit to this clinic. It was professional, prompt and I definitely left feeling informed and confident about my decision to use this medication. I have been using it for a week so far and I swear I can already notice a difference! I recommend Dr. Singh and Cosmedics to anyone looking to make an informed Latisse decision. They also do botox and other cosmetic procedures, but I am not quite there yet! read more

Left crying. You go in inquiring about one little thing and the doctor/nurse comes in telling you a list of things you need to fix about yourself. A lot of these medical spas are like this, if they beat you down you will feel horrible about yourself and spend money. Simply point out all their flaws. I went in inquiring about cellulite on my thighs and was recommended to get my entire face done told I have bad sun damages and pours and texturing, and that I would need more then just my thighs done. The two girls sitting at the front were gossiping loudly and being obnoxious and unprofessional. Almost all the woman that worked there had so much filler in their lips they look like they just came from Beverly Hills plastic surgery. I have found a professional place to go to that isn't all about money, won't work on fake girls, and won't ever beat you down and make you leave crying feeling horrible about yourself. Will never go to this place. And just FYI all the reviews on google for 5 stars that are names google user, are paid fake positive reviews. read more

So a couple months ago I had an amazing Micro dermatologist abrasion treatment done at this spa. First off I can not recommend this treatment enough. It left my skin soft and buttery, yes like a baby's bottom. And surprisingly results lasted for about a week. Which was amazing because before the treatment my skin was extremely dry , even flaky, with almost a callous on the side of my nose where my glasses sit. I've been told that if you have multiple treatments results last longer. I did get a few compliments on my skin that week and even better the callous has not returned. Now as for the he spa itself. It is a fairly small spa located right on Jasper. There is free parking in the back you just have to let the girls at the reception desk know you parked there and write down your license plate number. Nella was my esthetitian and she was wonderful. She really took her time with my treatment and did an amazing job at listening to my needs and discussing treatment options for my skin. (As I have lots of scars from acne). The bed was super comfy with lots of warm fuzzy blankets to wrap around yourself and Nelia constantly was checking in to make sure I was comfortable. The room was quiet with a nice ambiance. As for the treatment itself I loved it. The micro derm was part was super gentle and felt like a cat licking your face. Following the micro derm abrasion Nelia followed up with an amazing relaxing facial message then a ultra moisturizing mask for my parched skin. Once that was cleaned off she finished off my Appling some other products such as a serum toner and moisturizer. Overall I would say I had an amazing experience here and would highly recommend this spa and treatment to just about anyone. read more

Save your money go to someone who knows what they are doing. I went to see DR ASHWANI SING and i should have walked out by the vibes he gives off. But I stayed and completely regret it. I went in for lip fillers and he botched me. Top lip is huge basically no fillers in the bottom lip. One side is way bigger. I have a bump on my bottom lip that will not go away. He is not very pleasant to be around he's not nice or welcoming. with all my anxiety he didn't try to talk me through it, it was wam bam lay down and he injected me and walked out he was not busy I was the only costumer there so can't use that as an excuse. I say go to someone who talks you through the procedure someone who will make you feel comfortable to be in there office and someone who knows what they are doing!!! read more

I have been getting Botox for Migraines & occasional Botox for TMJ injections, for a couple years now. I have seen a dramatic reduction in migraine headaches. From about 15-20 days of headache per month to this year I have had maybe 3 or 4. A really significant increase in my quality of life. The staff at "Cosmedics" are lovely, from reception to the nurses and doctor. Dr. Singh is very knowledgeable and he doesn't push the other services at the clinic, but he will mention something if he thinks it might appeal to you. All of the nurses are confident, kind and take their time during the procedure. They also do their best, using a third party, to get services like mine covered by your work benefits/insurance, a huge part of why I can get these treatments in the first place! I would never recommend this clinic. My Very close Uncle pasted a way. I had to cancel my appointment and re-book. They charged me $ 90.00 for cancelling my appointment. The receptions did not tell me that I still had to pay the $90.00. I spoke with the Dr. Singh About my concerns. He would not put the amount towards a credit for the re-booked appointment. He kept the money. He has no soul, I would never go back, and I have told that to all my friends, clients, and relatives. I wonder what Dr. Singh would do if he had a full day of appointments and his Uncle suddenly past away. Shame on you Dr.Singh. read more

I went to their open house this fall and had interest in the coolsculpting procedure. It's a non invasive procedure that freezes stubborn fat cells causing damage to them so they naturally break down and your body absorbs them. The open house had a special going. The procedure is not cheap, at $750 per 1hr, i'd wait for an open house to take advantage as it can save you hundreds of dollars. They had a demo going at the time so you can see exactly what happens and ask all the questions you want. I paid to have my inner thighs done which counts as two hrs, an hr for each leg. Before the treatment you have to see one of the dr's to get a health clearance for the procedure. Blood pressure and background health check, that's it. The day of I came in did some paperwork and went right to taking before pictures and do marking. This is how they document the changes. I would have maybe liked to be measured as well out of curiosity. After that we went to the room to get started. There's a private bathroom in there which was an added bonus since I was pantless this whole time. Wear appropriate underwear ladies! First she applied a cold pad that had the special gel on it so there's no damage to the skin. Then she puts on the machine which is like a big suction cup. Once I got on the bed and had pillows and towels set up I had a nice warm blanket put on and got to watch Netflix for the next hr. I was checked on regularly as you cant move at all once the machine goes on. After the hr it's removed and they do a gently massage to break everything up and do it all over again to the other leg. After the areas just felt numb like frostbite and I didn't feel any pain. There's no downtime or special products needed which is nice. I went and did a tough workout the next day and had no problems. It takes 3 months to see the final results. 4 days later my legs are still a little numb but getting some tingling and a little discomfort. there's a small amount of bruising but nothing major, and some from the workout. Nelia did my procedure. I had met her at the open house and she was very helpful in answering all my questions. From start to finish Nelia was amazing. She was very knowledgable about the procedure and what to expect. She was so kind and made me feel very comfortable which can be difficult when you're focused on your vulnerable areas and walking around with no pants on. She checked on me to make sure I had everything I needed and I never felt forgotten. The only thing I wish they did was communicate more helpful things for during the procedure. I came prepared with my ipod and a book which I didn't need, unless you're not interested in watching a movie. I also walked in the cold to get there not knowing they have free parking for guests getting the procedure in the back. Also what to wear would have been nice. During the procedure you can get gel everywhere so spare underwear would have been nice and yoga pants instead of jeans for less rubbing afterwards. They had granola bars and tea to drink but if you're starving you might want to eat before or bring something yourself. At my three month follow up we will see results and how successful it was! can't wait! read more

Everyone is very friendly I never have to wait when I arrived for my appointment and the treatment I receive is always to my complete satisfaction plus more. I have been seeing Dr. Ashwani Singh for acne treatment, which involves the purchase of a skin care line made by him ($300) and the chemical peels which are covered by AB healthcare. Anyway, I am finding that the results are not worth going into Cosmedics. My first treatment I cried, because Dr. Singh was so rude and mean and the attitude was completely uncalled for and unprovoked. He said that the clearing up of my skin would be contingent on me taking Diane 35 for birth control and told me to "enjoy having bad skin for the rest of my life" if I didn't. If I had known that my skin clearing up was reliant on me switching to Diane 35 ( a birth control my GP referred to as "horse strength" l) I would not have purchased his very expensive skin care line. The face wash in the line is described as "for all skin types" but it actually was too harsh for my face, very drying. Anyway, the experience overall has been bad. They 4 times or so that I have been in now are just awful. The girls are rude and they rarely answer the phone. Dr. Singh is just about the worst thing to happen to life itself. read more

The spa side is equally great! I had probably what is the very best microderm I have ever had there! Got some great advice on skin care products without feeling as though they were trying to sell me things. I actually asked about the products myself. I've been to Cosmedics for Juvederm in my lips three or four times now. On my visit before last, I found that my lips looked very uneven after, which Dr. Singh explained was due to my tooth pushing the one side out more. Fair enough, I guess. I thought last time I would ask if he could compensate with more filler in the other, less full looking side. He said that wouldn't really work. Ok, fine. Then on an unrelated note, he proceeds to tell me that I have acne and should do microdermabrasion to help... I have two or three white heads, seriously not a big deal. So I found that kind of insulting. Not an ounce of subtlety. Maybe if I had asked, but I was there for my lips. Then, my bill was $100 more than the previous visit, which was the rotten cherry on top of an already unpleasant visit. Awesome. I won't be back. read more

My life has changed completely ever since I started getting chemical peels at CosMedics! I use to miss work every few months due to my cystic acne breakouts.
