I had never heard of this hair salon before until a friend who gets her hair braided here told me about it. I decided that I needed to book an appointment almost last minute so I was lucky when I found an availability (I booked on Tuesday, 3 December). I wanted my hair done soon because I have a few events this month including Christmas holiday plus a wedding to attend a few days before New Year's Eve. Much to my dismay, on the day of my appointment, the weather was terrible with snow so I was about 20 mins late to my 8am appointment but the braider was so nice and understanding. She was patient in waiting for me to arrive. I literally could only drive at a speed of 40-45MPH for almost my whole drive down to Akron from Cleveland. Aiyahna C. is the name of the braider who braided my hair. I messaged her on the StyleSeat app prior to my appointment with the colour and length of braids that I wanted. She is a young woman in her early twenties who is a self taught braider. You can find her on the StyleSeat app. which is how you book an appointment. BRAIDS -- There are different styles to choose from including box braids, knotless braids, locs, conrows, etc. I choose the small box braids ($180) which ended up looking great at the end. All braiding services include the hair that will be used (the actual braids or extensions), a hair wash and blow dry, plus the actual braiding service. OTHER SERVICES -- They also offer nail services and other hair services such as hair extensions, weaves/extensions, conrow braids, locs, etc CON -- The only downside to my experience was the service was advertised as 5 hours but ideally, it actually will take 7-8 hours. I was there for over 8 hours which was frustrating. When I saw 5 hours listed on the StyleSeat app, I thought that maybe the braider (Aiyahna) would have someone helping her braid my hair but it was just her braiding my hair. I started my appointment (braiding) around 9:15am and I left just after 5:30pm so I was there for 8.5+ hours. I actually arrived around 8:20am but my hair needed to be washed and blow dried first. I wasn't happy staying past 2pm because I originally planned to be back at work by 2:30pm/3:00pm. I most likely won't be back to B Sassy Beauty Express because this hair salon is an hour away from where I live. If you live in Akron and want your hair braided then contact them.
