After multiple quotes and trying to decide the correct time/people to perform the work, I decided to go with Morges Painting for a number of reasons. When Mike first came to my home for an estimate, he immediately took notice of the poor paint job done by the previous owners. I have aluminum beams on the front of my house, and Mike said that there was no primer under the paint, which was causing the paint to peel. He stated that a proper job would be to remove the paint to the metal, prime the surface appropriately, and then apply the paint. Some other estimates I received did not indicate that primer was needed. Also, some painters told me that the paint was peeling simply because it was too old. It was clear from the outset that Mike not only knew what he was talking about but that he wanted to perform the job properly. He and Shawn did an absolutely terrific job transforming my home at a very fair price. I cannot express how patient, kind, accommodating, reliable and trustworthy they were during the whole process. Even though the job took a bit longer than expected due to some rainy days, not once did they cut any corners or try to speed along to rush to another job. They thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly, and properly prepped the exterior of the home prior to painting it in order to ensure that the job would hold well over the coming years. They were timely, professional, and so incredible through the whole process. And to top things off, without prompting, they even replaced my house numbers to match the paint colors I chose because the old numbers were rusted. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. We needed our front railing, front door, and roof deck railings to be sanded down and re-painted. Our house is only four years old but, as we've discovered, new construction doesn't always equal the best quality. John and his crew showed up bright and early around 8:30am, and worked tirelessly in the sun until the project was finished around 4pm. John explained the differences in the types of paint he needed to use for the railings and door. Everyone in the crew was friendly and careful about their work space - by the time they left, you wouldn't have known they were even here, aside from their gorgeous handiwork! My husband and I think the railings and door look even better now than they did when we bought our house. My only regret? Not taking before and after photos! Never took out any of the knobs, handles, or other fixtures before painting and instead painted around it so all that lazy and sloppy paint job is visible like an eye sore. Planning to get all that paint stripped off now. I am actually doing them a favor by not posting pictures of their paint job.
