Sat here for quite a while at this sidewalk cafe just enjoying the warm Fall day but enjoying even more the coffee and wonderful food. You order inside and your order is brought out (cafe service is still very wait staff based). Servers are courteous and efficient. All speak English but certainly helps to speak Czech. Very much worth a stop if you are near for a light breakfast or light lunch with a wonderful street side atmosphere.

The string is unique, very artsy in my opinion, combining indoor/outdoor seating. Very open and comfortable, appeared to be many locals taking in a morning coffee or breakfast and working. I got a pumpkin spice latte with almond milk- tasted like one of those bottles strips you get with the addition of some pumpkin purée- wasn't bad but wasn't great. The milk wasn't vary hot either- it was barely warm at best. My brother got the gingerbread latte and it tasted really good though- still only just warm. If it wasn't for me trying my brother's gingerbread latte I'd give it 2 stars.

I live in the area and finally got the chance to walk out and visit this shop. I was a little early and waited around for the shop to open. Let me clarify and state the fact that the website, the shop doors and even Yelp states that Coffee Room's hours today are 9 AM. I walked in at 9 AM and greeted the lady behind the counter. She was rude, did not smile and gave me the attitude and a responses of what seemed liked, "What do you think you are doing, you idiot?" I didn't understand what she was saying and told her in Czech that I speak the language poorly. So she proceeded to tell me that, "We are closed. We open at 9:30.". I mentioned that the door said 9 AM and she basically was like I don't care, leave. This is truly unfortunate. Not only did you loose my business and future business (I spend lots of time at coffee shops), but during the time that I was waiting and after I left, you lost four other customers who tried to go in and were turned out. I think the business owners need to realize how their employees are lacking in basic customer service skills. Plus, this really isn't a time to be turning away business. You know, basic economic practices, but who knows. Maybe you can afford to lose business during these hectic and unknown times.

There are more tables in the back room, and in the summer, there is patio seating. Order at the counter and they bring your meal to you. Several people (myself included) bring their laptops and do a little work. The Internet password is usually written on cards on the counter and You can stay as long as you like. Cafe gets frequent visitors but it's never too loud. Some people also just stop in to grab some coffee to take away. Service is usually friendly. They have a big menu of drinks on the blackboard over the counter - you can ask them to see a breakfast menu (it's a tiny list they keep at the counter) I always get the toasted bagel, smeared with a little pesto, piled high with mozzarella, black olives, tomatoes, greens, drizzled with olive oil, and dusted with black pepper. And a lovely hot pot of Jasmine tea. It's quite filling. I've seen people order omelettes which look quite big. I like the atmosphere of the place and love spending lazy mornings here enjoying breakfast.

This place popped up on Yelp, showing open and close by so I came. The shop was clean, organized and with a friendly staff who spoke English. There is the main area and a side room with cushioned chairs for sitting and a large selection of books on the shelf (in Czech, but that makes sense given its a local place). For the eats, I had red espresso for the first time. This is made from concentrated tea. If you like tea, want the caffeine, and don't mind a concentrated flavor, try it. It's very tasty and not too powerful taste wise. Along with that I had the cappuccino, which was frothy and soothing. For food, the croissant. A perfectly made, fresh pastry that, thus far, is the best plain one I've had in my life. The right amount of sweetness and butteriness; neither under or overwhelming.
