Nice atmosphere, good music and friendly people... I had the toasted banana bread which blew my mind. A good energy boost to start the day! Outside seating is available when it becomes too busy in the compact inside area.

I will say this is top three best latte I have had in my life. This place is small and intimate but the staff is hit or miss being nice. They have a lot of random sweets and half sandwich's on offer, my favorite being the red velvet cupcakes. Try them out. I love the presentation of the coffee/tea on a hard wood board. It is very cute and sophisticated. There is free water on every table. Free wifi as well. Of course the ability to people watch on the street walking by. Location is Extremely close to the tram stop so you can't miss it. Place is a bit small though so I imagine when it fills up you are just out of luck! I would come back here for sure for some delicious coffee beans, the calm area, and the nice atmosphere. Great find!

Blueberry bread, cappuccino and Americano. Delicious.

The pastries and coffee were great. My wife got a cappuccino and I got an Americano. Really liked the cappuccino... Also got their delicious blueberry bread ( must try this here). Don't come here for the savory foods... They are just ok.

Adorable environment, but we JUST missed brunch, so I was a little bummed.

We arrived just after Brunch was over, so I was a little bummed! The atmosphere was adorable, and the coffee was delicious! There is lots of seating inside and out, and the design is great!

I'd hear many great things about this place- especially from a friend who knows I love avocado (and avocado toasts). Family came over to visit us here in Prague so we decided to go here with them. Location-wise it's really easy to find, but the place is really tiny! I immediately worried my family wouldn't like it or complain but the staff was so nice and accommodating that even though we split the group up (2 and 4), no one minded! Additionally, the breakfast was everything I expected and more! Great coffee, delicious food, and fun atmosphere. This is a place you should def check out whenever you're in Prague!

I don't have much to say about this place. We came for a quick breakfast that we thought would have interesting food, but we were pretty disappointed. We wound up getting a croissant, coffee, orange juice, and an avocado toast dish. The avocado toast dish was definitely a let down because the flavors just weren't that good together. The orange juice was probably one of the weirdest ones that I've ever tasted. It was sour and I'm pretty sure there were other fruits or vegetables in there other than oranges. Anyways, I probably won't be coming back anytime soon to this place.

This place is such a go to place if you're looking for excellent coffee and a good breakfast. My favorite avocado toast ever & thats including all of California. The guys that own the place are English & definitely bring a different twist to the Czech neighborhood. The place is small & a lot of students tend to study here, pull up a chair and share a table, enjoy the Hozier music playing the background and the good service! I want to go back so bad I miss my cappuccinos & avocado toast!

A really friendly place thats great for breakfast or snack during the day, of course accompanied by a really nice coffee. I love to sit outside on the street when the weather is nice. Their avocado bread is truly amazing and so are the cakes! Do not forget to also try their home-made lemonade

Wow best coffee shop I've been to so far! The staff is so friendly and patient. Their food is uniquely set up on wooden boards and dressed very nicely. Their flat white is served in the cutest mustache glass. The servers know English and I would definitely want to come back to try another breakfast item! They have free wifi and it's a good place to get work done, as long as you can find a place to sit.

    Flat white!

I've eaten here a few times while in Prague 3. The fruit/yogurt bowl is one of the most aesthetically pleasing dishes I've ever had and tasted as good as it looks. I've got to admit, I'm still a coffee amateur but the coffee tasted wonderful to me too. Great service as well in a small/quiet atmosphere.

Our party of four (4) arrived without reservations and were informed of a 30 to 40 -minute wait. We were invited to have a drink in the bar which is off the hotel entrance. Within 20-minutes the hostess informed us that our table was ready. Duck with cherry sauce and braised beef with gravy and dumplings were outstanding. Although we did not have room for dessert, they looked amazing in display near the maître de desk. Several parties arrived as we were leaving to have coffee and desert.

The space itself is grand and beautiful, but the experience went downhill immediately. The hostess seemed to wield all the power in the room--no smile, barely any eye contact, just a curt and judgmental "no reservation." The restaurant was far from full. She then added, "I only have a side table for you," as if that were some sort of compromise. We accepted. At first glance, the waiters looked well presented, but with a bit more observation, the illusion faded. Some had sagging pants, untucked shirts, and most concerning, repeatedly inappropriate hand placement while on the floor. It happened more than once, which was uncomfortable and distracting (see photo). Overall, the place feels very pretentious without delivering on substance. The food wasn't anything special, and the desserts were average at best and certainly not worth the hype or the attitude. I wouldn't recommend Cafe Imperial to friends, especially if you're expecting a warm welcome or standout desserts.

My omlette was very good, with goat cheese and spinach, and my wife liked her eggs which were sunny side up over some vegetables and a avocado purée. The fresh bread was really good, some sort of wheat rye bread that was dense and filing. The menu for lunch and dinner also looked great, and our server was very friendly. She asked where we were from, and got really excited that my wife grew up in San Francisco. She said that she was a big Jack London fan, and wanted to see where he was from. That said, we had a gorgeous yet really disappointing pancake order here that just wasn't acceptable at all. The pancakes were thick, premade and tasted more like crumpets topped with fruit than pancakes, but what was inexcusable was that the pancakes themselves came out cold and hard. How does that even happen? On the other side of things, the expresso drinks were adequate, the egg dishes were enjoyable, the orange juice was fresh squeezed and the brown bread and butter that comes out (complementary) with breakfast is wonderful. If you do opt to come here, head to egg dishes, their bread and expresso, and away from their not good pancakes.) (Wish they would discontinue or replace the pancakes here. These hard, heavy, cold pancakes bring their morning meal average down a level, considering the other dishes here are a-okay.)

Our hotel was very close to the restaurant and we literally stumbled upon it (when quite hungry after a long travel day) and it quickly became one of my top five dining experiences ever! We visited Prague during the Christmas market season so the restaurant was glowing with holiday spirit. The staff was amazing and the food impeccable. I am still dreaming about this meal. The menu changes frequently but on this cold winter evening, we enjoyed the warm mushroom bisque, a grilled seafood dish with pasta, and the duck breast with gratin potatoes. I have never ordered duck before (other than confit on a salad) and this was "off the charts" delicious! Such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend them if you ever make it to this beautiful city!

The staff is clearly very well organized and efficient. Service was quick, attentive, and professional. The waiters were elegantly dressed, which added to the classic, old-world charm of the place. We also got lucky and were seated by the window, which made the experience even more special. The food was absolutely outstanding -- truly one of those meals that makes every cell in your body feel happy. Everything was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and comforting, yet refined.
