The secretary was extremely rude, it was brought to her attention that I have two separate EEOC charges to consult with Chris about, I asked to be transferred to his voicemail or give me his email, the lady refused as well as kept asking me questions that I told her I only wanted to speak with council about. She refused to place a manager of intake on the phone & constantly repeated she doesn't have to transfer me to anyone. I would not recommend Costa Ivone, especially if you've had relatively minor accident. You will not be their priority. In April 2025, I was rear-ended at +25MPH and my car was totaled. It took them nearly a year to settle my case. The settlement was paltry. I now live with nagging pain in my neck and have herniated discs that I did not have diagnosed before the accident. They failed to keep me informed throughout my case. I received no written follow-up or summaries after phone calls. This was particularly problematic because most the people I spoke with had heavy Spanish accents and were difficult to understand. Whenever I tried to ask questions, I was passed off to someone else for explanation. Their response times are slow. They failed to provide a full explanation of my settlement before pressuring me to sign off. To top it all off, although I was not at fault, they pursued my insurance company which caused my rates to skyrocket! In the end, I ended up having to pay back the "advance" from my insurance company. These guys are shady. Beware read more

These people took a very long time for my husband to receive his settlement, and after all their "fees" he was left with damn near nothing. The woman he worked with told him his settlement amount and didn't explain the fees that would be taken out. So of course he received a check much much smaller than expected. I'm happy on the way my case has been handle by these guys, I had knee surgery over a year ago and wasn't a very good surgery. My company did not want to approve me another surgery but Julio Costa fought hard to approve my second surgery and I was dismissed by my job after 6 months of light duty and wasn't getting payed. I had a work comp case that started in August of 2019. I contacted a work comp attorney that I had used previously and he was no longer practicing and referred me to this man. It was neither of the two owners. I realize I didn't have a million dollar case, but the attorney I was referred to treated me like I was an imbecile. I was in work comp sales for 10 years so I knew a thing or two. Never met the man, which I think is unusual. I finally got disgusted and looked at finding another attorney. After explaining to this attorney what I was going through he didn't want to take on the case, but said he knew one of the owners and would give him a call. Long and short of this the attorney started to contact me more often, but still treated me with disrespect. When I went to pick up my settlement check he sent his paralegal to deal with me. Never got a thank you for the business. Granted it wasn't much. His assistant when he came out to give me my check also said he had a bill to give me. I had to remind him twice to give me the letter. The letter was from the legal firm representing the hospital I was taken to after the accident. The letter was dated 10/19/19. This bill was never presented for payment to the firm in Michigan handling my work comp payments. I was told to give this bill to my personal injury attorney, but I'm now getting calls from the law firm handling the hospital's bills. I should never have been involved in this situation. All I have to say is if you have a work comp claim don't walk away from this firm run like crazy. read more

The people that answer the phone are very rude and no one ever returns your calls. The crazy part about this is when I had my Car accident they reached out to me, so they had no problem calling me and even sending someone to my home to have me sign papers and that was the reason I went with them in the first place, I was impressed at how they handled things, but then the nightmare started. I would call AND NO ONE KNEW WHO I WAS FOR A WEEK THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE MY FILE. So after a week of calling they finally knew who I was. So some months have gone by and now i call once a month to get a status update, I never get a chance to speak to anyone it's always you can leave a message and we will return your call it's been 3 months and I have yet to receive a returned call I dont recommend this law firm to anyone they will not treat you like a customer, SO DONT DO IT JUST GO WITH ANOTHER LAWYER!!!! read more
