If you are familiar with Costco then you already know they sell all kinds of things in bulk, but this Business centre really focuses on goods for the restaurant industry, hotels or offices. You will find lots of fancy industrial kitchen equipement, a whole range of supplies for cooking, baking, packaging, you name it. If you've ever wanted an industrial mixer, pizza oven, or triple door fridges and freezers, you'll find it here. There is a wider selection of products when it comes to food, more brands are stocked and larger sizes. A regular Costco may only carry a dozen or less varieties of soda and juice for example, but this place will offer easily 50 types of beverages. The most impressive feature is the giant walk in fridge, it is significantly bigger than the usual walk-ins and stocks every type of meat, veggie and dairy product. Make sure you bring a sweater year round to enter this area as it can take a while to go through all the options and you will freeze! Not everything is a great deal, always look at the price of items per weight. If you shop at regular grocery stores, there are often better bargains but I guess if you have a restaurant, it's easier to buy everything in bulk in one place. We love to BBQ and found the price of pork shoulder, ribs, brisket and other large cuts of meat to be a steal. But certain things like eggs, cheese and butter were the same, or more expensive as other places and there is no point in buying a 5kilo brick if you can't finish it. If you like spices, they regularly go on sale, you'll have to buy a very large cannister, but we compared the prices to everywhere else and basics like pepper, garlic, powder, paprika, thyme, etc were very cheap. Note that this Costco is open to every Costco member, you do not need a business membership. This Costco does NOT have an optical center nor pharmacy, no food court, no bakery and no butcher on site. They also do not sell any clothes, toys or electronics. They open very early (7am) and tend to close earlier too (7pm) so be sure to check before going.

I find their matcha tea to be lacking, though. They've got one variety only which sells for about $80.00/lbs and in those large bins it tends to get stale, to say nothing of all the people sticking their hands in it. Another store, ABC des Saveurs has three different varieties of match tea and their most expensive goes for about $27.00/lbs, it's in smaller sealed bins and served by the owners with gloved hands. The layout was foreign of course, so we didn't explore a whole bunch but noticed that the wine/liquor area wasn't as large. The lines here weren't long and check out went fairly quickly. Now you can, at the new Bulk Barn downtown! I've been to Bulk Barn a few times (mostly in Ontario actually), and this one is SPOTLESS. There's a person going around cleaning all the mess people make with a small vacum, and all the shelves, tanks and other containers are super clean. Even the honey tap is non-sticky! This place is also a heaven for bakers. They have sugar pearls, food coloring, candy sparkles, etc. of every color, and even special cake molds that you can rent at 1.99$ per day! They have a wide range of products, ranging from apple pie filling (!) to pet treats (e.g. dog biscuits). There's all kinds of flours, condiments, spices, health supplements, candies, pasta, and even some ethnic products, such as the classic Filipino Sunflower crackers. Prices are not always the cheapest, however - it's still good to compare between different shops. Bulk Barn might also not be for you if you usually go for brand products. But, it's great place to try if you want a specific volume of something, or just want to try, let's say, chia seeds for the first time but not sure if you'd like it... I was visiting from Toronto and never had auto service at any Canadian Tire before. This was my 22 year old Toyota Matrix, a very good horse. I checked appointment availability early in the morning and there was nothing available that day. I was staying a couple of blocks away and decided, what the hell, and dropped by just after 9 am. I was served right away and had an estimate of the job before 9:30. The work was done in about 90 minutes (replacement of brake lines) and the staff were very helpful and very fluent in English. Hats off to a very, very well run shop and competent, knowledgable and friendly staff!!!

Came by this Costco as part of a pit stop on our trip to Quebec City…read more Part 1: Costco gas - the line was not too long, waited maybe 5-10 min before it was our turn. There were 2 employees helping people to ensure everything was moving smoothly. Overall, a good experience. Part 2: Costco wholesale. It was pretty busy in this store. It looked like they had a pretty good variety of items. Veges and meat looked pretty fresh. Nothing out of the ordinary for Costco. Nothing that stood out to me as good or bad. Line up was long but everyone was moving smoothly. Part 3: Costco food - we got a hot dog which comes with a drink and 30 wings. Every 10 wings comes with 1 sauce package - bbq and some spicy sauce are your choices. The spicy sauce tasted like some sort of Tabasco based sauce. The bbq sauce tasted like McDonald's bbq McNugget sauce. The hot dog was average - need to ask if you want fried onions. The wings were freshly made. Nice breading on the outside and juicy on the inside but lacked flavor overall. The sauces are needed but even the sauces are very one-note. Only thing that was slightly bad was they forgot to give us our drink (comes with hot dog) and we had to go back and ask. Price for food is, of course, cheap - it's Costco! Overall, a pretty usual Costco experience. It's what Costco is known for (consistency) and what I expected - nothing more, nothing less.

My son got poutine from the concession stand, and it was really good. Only about $5, which is really cheap. When I checked out, my card couldn't pay for the items because usa issues us visa Costco. Canada only accepts Costco MasterCard, so I had to pay with cash since we didn't bring our debit cards. There was a long line at the gas, we didn't want to wait in line to find out we can't use outwards to fill up. Luckily, we stumbled upon another Costco going towards quebec city that had gas 10 cents per liter cheaper than this one. I gave this Costco a 3 star because it's way too busy inside and more expensive at the pump, and the employees don't really help you.

They have plenty of your favorite items that have become staples and because this location is a little bit bigger they also stock some of the items you don't find at the other locations. I then followed him to the stand behind as he was heading there before. the old lady literally screamed at him, and said I told you, you need to have a parent with you, don't you understand? this is when I said I am here!
